Kalina flopped down on the soft bed in her hotel room, too tired from the flight in to LA to unpack her suitcases. She wished her family was here, but money was tight and she was the only one offered free flight and a free hotel room after auditioning for Teen Idol in Philadelphia. She rose and walked to the door, passing a mirror.
"I think I'll go explore the hotel, Kalina," she said to her reflection. "maybe I'll actually be able to talk to a real person." She gathered her long hair into a ponytail and headed out, down the hall, down seven stories in the elevator to the crowded lobby. Perched on a floral printed couch, Kalina watched the people come and go, wondering which ones would be competing against her tomorrow on Teen Idol.
Dyl hitched her beat up back pack on back better and entered the hotel nervously. She didn't belong here in this fancy, guady hotel. This was where people with actual money came!
Dyl entered the lobby feeling awkward and out of place in her beat up, ripped, over sized clothes, she looedka round, unsure of what to do or where to go, she'd been in a hotel before adn wasn't sur ehow it worked.
The flight had been rather long and tideous for Dyl, she had decided she didn't like flying, she kept on thinking everytime the plane hit turbulance that they were going to crash.
Matt was stretched out on his bed, texting as he waited for his sister. Lacey was taking way too long in the shower. Matt was anxious to go out and meet people, but Lacey was obsessed with looking her best for her first appearance to the rest of the Teen Idol contestants.
Matt's iPhone dinged. He looked down at the incoming text:
HEY MATT. WHAT'S UP? U THERE YET?
Matt sighed. The last person he wanted to talk to.
HEY HALEY. WE JUST GOT HERE. I'M WAITING FOR LACEY 2 GET OUT OF THE SHOWER.
K. SOUNDS GOOD. MET ANY NEW PEOPLE?
He considered saying yes, he'd met an adorable blonde from Paris and they were getting married next week.
The doorman, Matt thought.
AN ADORABLE BLONDE FROM PARIS. WE'RE GETTING MARRIED NEXT WEEK.
Haley didn't reply. Matt hoped she had enough brain cells to realize he was joking.
UR TOO YOUNG 2 GET MARRIED.
Apparently not. He pressed the power button on his iPhone and got up. "Lacey!" he shouted through the hotel room's wall. "I'm going now!"
Haley Gifford, age 15
Appearance: Haley is average height, with long black hair. She wears cute, but slightly immodest clothing.

Adrian wondered through the halls in silence, looking for a door 8B on it. It was, of course, nowhere in sight. She hated being lost, but it happened incredibly frequently to her. Her lungage clicked-clacked behind, a sound she was beginning to find very annoying. There were no employees around, and even if there were she probably wouldn't ask for help. She preferred to find the way herself, though at this point she wouldn't mind some helpful directions.
Matt came across a pretty girl who seemed to be lost.
"Hey," he said. "Can I help you?"
Dyl continue dto stand in the lobby, wondering what to do, a secruity guard approached her after she saw a family pointing at her and talking to him,
"Excuse me, kid, but no loitering, you should probably run along to wherever you came from." the secruity guard said. He reached for his gun when she didn't move,
"I'm here for the competition..." Dyl said awkwardly, unsure of what she should say, she racked her brain for what the talent scout had told her to say, what was this competition called again?
Adrian gave up. "Yeah, actually, I do," she smiled. "I'm just looking for my room, 8B. Do you know how to get there?"
A small beat- up looking girl had entered the lobby, and a security guard seemed to be giving her trouble. Kalina marched toward them. The girl was talking about a competition. " Teen Idol?" Kalina supplied.
Lacey strode out of the bathroom into the five-room suite that she and Matt shared. She hadn't wanted to share a room, but this one came with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a sitting room and an expansive outdoor terrace, so she didn't mind too much. She could see that Matt was no longer in the suite.
Sighing, she picked up a hairbrush-- soft-bristle, of course -- and started to brush her chocolate-colored hair. Then she applied a tad of purple eyeliner around her large brown eyes. Perfect, she thought. She picked up her phone and her purse and exited the suite.
