"I'll be fine." Sven mumbled as he climbed into the car, still only eating the bread. He buckled up, not looking up. "I'm fine."
Nate shrugged, as soon as Sven was seated and teh door was shut his stepdad sped off towards teh school.
Sven silently looked inside of the bag as they drove, having eaten half the bread off the sandwich. He carefully grabbed one of the pencils, examining the point.
"They ain't the best pencils." Nate said as they ripped down the raod. Nate fiddled with his backpack as it sat on the ground between his legs. He watched the raod in front of them as they sped along, they were nearing the school now.
"They're pencils." Sven mumbled, putting the pencil back in the bag. He glanced up to peek out the windows for a brief moment before looking down at his lap once more.
The car stopped at the curb near the school and Nate jumped out, he started to walk quickly towards the school, he didn[t want to be late, he didn't need another tardy on his record.
Sven climbed out of the car, following Nate in a shuffling walk. He moved faster than he usually did, shifting nervously as he followed the other boy at a safe distance.
"Oh...Okay..." Sven mumbled, nodding with a sigh. Signing up for new schools, this was familiar to him. It had happened so many times. But it still made him squirm inside.
Sven quietly went to the office, shuffling down the hall and staring at his feet as he moved. He only looked up when he got there, peeking out through his long, shaggy bangs.
