Vincent sighed, wishing she could have stayed. His mother left him, realizing she'd get nowhere arguing with him.
Aria went home wondering if Vincent actually wanted her to call him or not. Her mom wasn't there which was no big surprise. She started to get sleepy as she pondered giving him a call. Things were so much simpler without their feelings confessed and now it all seemed to be getting a little more complicated already.
Vincent laid down, wondering if she'd call him tonight or if she'd go to sleep and call him tomorrow. He hoped to talk to her tonight, but then making calls was so much work since he had to find the phone, and then, try to memorize what number he wanted to call and then there was actually dialing with no way to tell if he got it right or not until he actually called. His mother hadn't gotten him a cell phone to work with his disability yet, only a cheap little thing for emergencies.
Realizing she wanted to hear his voice Aria picked up her phone and readied herself to call Vincent when she heard something outside. WIth the phone in her hand she went to her window eyes darting around the area. After a few minutes she hit Vincent's number to dial him and put the phone up to her ear, still cautious of the outside.
Vincent answered after a few rings, having to feel around for his phone. "Hello?" He asked. "Aria?" He guessed, hoping it was her. Who else would call him at this time?
Aria got a little tongue tied and almost hung up. Feeling stupid she said. "Yeah it's me."
"Hey..." Vincent laid back on his bed. "Make it home safe? You're not calling from a hostage situation, are you?" There was a casual amount of joke in his tone.
Aria laughed quietly into the phone at Vincent's joke but there was a little force to it. She was a little paranoid about what she'd heard outside. "I'm fine. Your mom wasn't too upset about the cane was she?"
"She gave up pretty quick. I think she's had enough arguing with me after all these years." Vincent told her. "Aria, what's going on? Did you hear something? See a vamp that go away? You sound like you're on edge."
"Well that's good." Aria mumbled barely listening to Vincent's words. It was silent on her end for a good thirty second before a loud crash came and her muffled voice. "Shi.t!" then the line went dead.
Vincent cursed. "Mom!" He called, grabbing his cane and getting up. "Mom! We have to go to Aria's! You have to take me! It's an emergency!"
Aria's window had been crashed through by a vampire which caused her to drop the phone. She quickly pulled a stake from her bedside table looking around for where the evil creature had gone.
With a good deal of work, Vincent got his mother to drive him to Aria's and stay in the car while he went in. He put the cane to good use, feeling his way up to the door and knocking. "Aria?!"
Aria had managed to stake the vampire a second before she heard Vincent at her door. She and the vampire had fought for a bit while the vampire hid all around her house trying to take her by surprise. He'd managed to make a nasty scratch down her arm but that was it. She opened the door for Vincent, breathing heavily. "H-Hey."
Vincent hugged her tightly. "Aria, are you okay? What the he.ll happened?!"
Aria barely noticed the deep cut in her arm she'd gotten from the vampire as she hugged Vincent back. "Stupid tick crashed into my window. I think it was a new one." she told Vincent. Vampires usually wanted to be stealthy but this one had been anything but. And it had been trying to drink from Aria so it had to be a newly made vampire.
"Are you okay?" Vincent asked, feeling over her for injuries. Her breasts were not excluded from areas felt, and he felt the cut on her arm. "Your arm..."
When Vincent's hand grazed her arm Aria winced. "Ow. Yeah it's bleeding." she cursed under her breath knowing she'd need it bandaged.
"Let me help you." Vincent mumbled. "I'll tell my mom to just go home and I'll stay here and look after you, okay?"
Aria wasn't going to be rude and tell him he couldn't stay because of his blindness. Although she wasn't sure how he'd help her with her wound he didn't want him to leave. "Alright. I'll wait here." she agreed.
