"I don't think I can just forget this." Aria whispered pausing for a second. "It'll be risky but when have you ever known me not to be risky?" there was a smirk in Aria's voice as she took Vincent's hand lacing their fingers together.
Vencent grimaced ."Yeah..." He murmured. "I guess you do have to be Aria, you talk like her anyway." He leaned down and kissed her forehead. "I don't think
I'd ever be able to recover if I fully lost you..."
(Ugh, my brain not working today, I wrote like this was our other one, same sould different body. ignore that post.)
Vincent grimaced. "Yeah..." He murmured. "You're always the risk-taker, except when it comes to nests..."
(haha you're fine.)
Aria honestly hated nests. She had her own reasons that nobody but Ben understood. Vincent might have know but he never hinted and Ben never told Aria he'd told Vincent. "Yeah." was all Aria mumbled, her eyes still on Vincent.
Vincent swallowed. "Aria?" He asked softly, a bit timidly. "Can we kiss again?" He hoped she'd say yes. He hoped she'd just kiss him. It was hard to aim when you couldn't see. He had to go by touch, and half the night could be wasted away, feeling her face.
Aria didn't hesitate. When she heard Vincent's question her heart beat quickened and she leaned forward finding his mouth easily. She molded their lips together while one of her hands went to rest on his chest.
Vincent wrapped his arms around her, kissing back with bright red in his cheeks. He closed his eyes, liking the feel of it. When his eyes were closed it was a chance to feel somewhat normal, as if all he had to do to see was open his eyes.
Kissing wasn't one of the things Aria was an expert on but she wasn't terrible. Her head was spinning by the time she pulled back from Vincent so she knew he had to be doing something right. Aria felt so out of sorts with the way her body was reacting and what she was feeling. It was so girly and she wasn't used to that kind of thing.
Vincent opened his eyes, smiling softly. "I'd say that lives up to my dreams." He told her. He sighed softly, happily. "I suppose it's time to head back? It doesn't seem like we're going to get much more action around here."
Once again Aria was glad Vincent couldn't see her red face. His comment sent tingles all throughout her being. "Yeah. Probably should." she said standing cautiously, helping Vincent up.
"So are you sure I got a vampire? Or are you just trying to keep me from being embarrassed?" Vincent smirked to show he was teasing. Just because he couldn't see didn't mean there weren't other ways of telling things.
Aria laughed softly shaking her head. "Yes I'm sure. Best shot you ever made. Nice work." she said. She liked that even though they'd shared their feelings and kissed they could still be each other together. "Come on, let's get going."
Vincent chuckled, making sure her hand was in his. He needed the guidance to get through the graveyard without stubbing his toe or anything anyway. He hadn't brought his cane. He hated using his cane.
They usually didn't lace fingers together but Aria was feeling confidnent. She laced them together so they looked like a couple walking out of the graveyard.
Vincent walked extra cose to her, a smile on his lips as they stepped out of the graveyard and onto the sidewalk. "So where exactly are we going? Do you have to report to Ben or something?"
Aria sighed. "Yeah. Hope he isn't upset we got nothing." she mumbled heading in the direction of their team's place. "He'll probably be happy we didn't get hurt but he's been expecting more vampires around than there have been. I hope they aren't outsmarting us."
"We got one vampire. You can take credit for it. At least that'll keep him from lecturing you so bad." Vincent told her.
"No. I'm not going to lie Vincent." Aria said as they got closer. She didn't care about being lectured; she wasn't a liar.
"It was your stake." Vincent pointed out. "And he'd accuse you of lying if you said I was the one who staked it."
Aria frowned in a stubborn way. "I'm not lying Vincent." she said dropping his hand.
