Shannon sat still on her bed. She stared quietly at the ceiling.
"Honestly, Shannie. You sicken me." EJ complained. She had always been the most vocal of the group. Shannon sighed and rolled over.
"You know I don't like it when you call me that..." She mumbled into her pillow.
"Duh. That's the point."
"No need to be so rude, EJ." Chloe scolded in her prim and proper manner. Shannon sighed as the two began to argue.
Mikey woke up with a little whimper. He tried to sit up and move around, but he found himself tied down. It made him panic, and he started to thrash ineffectively, letting out mumbling little cries that were starting to rise in volume.
"No, no no no! No!" He wailed. "Please! Please!" He didn't know what he was begging for entirely. The seething whispers around him started to close in. He twisted and thrashed, letting out a scream as the whispers got more menacing, more threatening.
Back in his room, Dmitri stared at the wall. There wasn't much else to do. Nothing to do, nothing to do, nothing to do. His eyes didn't change this time, only his hair, height and complexion. Where Dmitri had sat, a 6'3" dark-skinned blonde had taken his place. "Dmitri" grinned. He could entertain himself. "Oh, say! Can you see?"
"Shannon, dearest, do you think you could let us out?" Chloe asked politely. Shannon let out an exasperated sigh and pulled her blanket tightly around herself.
"That's not a proper answer, dear." Chloe said sweetly. Shannon grunted.
"Neither was that."
"Fine!" Shannon growled, sitting up straight, blanket still twisted around her. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. When she opened her eyes again, there were four more of her sitting on her bed, on the floor.
"Finally!" EJ crowed, flexing her arm. Marie just sat there. Kitty started to bounce around excitedly, babbling and chattering about fresh air and whatnot. Chloe moved towards the closet, mumbling under her breath about her hair.
Evangaline's padded heaven crashed into reality when an Orderly came to give her her medicine. Protocal, she assumed, even though anyone with a brain would realize she was fine when she wasn't in panic mode.
Which, coincidentally, kicked in at the sight of the needle. Evanganline thought she could see the tip coated in hardened blood, the glass tube nearly bursting with some terrible poison. The Orderly seemed to take notice of her tensing shoulders and quickening breathing, and slowly began stepping back, hiding the offensive needle from her sight.
That's right, thought Evanganline, returning to a normal state of mind in the absence of danger, go get me my nice calming-down pill. The panicky part of me doesn't like needles.
((Grarrrh! Stupid computer! :P ))
Mikey whimpered to himself. Or rather, to the whispers, the voices, the hallucinations around him. His cries were weak and hoarse as he laid there. He tried to see the line between the real world and the hallucinations, but it was too blurred...
"Take a seat," Remus' orderly snapped at him,"and tell Mr. Grittle why your here. Mr. Grittle was a pudgy man, with a cruel, snotty voice that never seemed to go away, unless he was talking to younger female orderlies.
"I'm here because my parents hated me, and chose t-AAAOOWW!!" Remus cried as he was struck by his orderly with something hard and sharp.
"The REAL reason, you twit!" snarled his orderly.
Remus whimpered, "because I fell and spilled my food on you.."
"That's better," the orderly breathed into Remus' ear. "if you cooperate with us you'll be fine. We're just here to help you.." said the orderly, his words dripping with venom.
"You really shouldn't have let them medicate you." EJ said, poking at Shannon's arm. Shannon just grunted and buried herself further under the covers. EJ huffed with frustration. "I'm serious! Look at what it's done to you! You're all lethargic and dull and...oh wait, maybe that's you on a daily basis."
Shannon couldn't even muster the energy to throw her pillow at the rude, annoying, and freakin' persistent personality.
"Please...Leave me alone..." Mikey whispered out, to the people, the things that weren't really there...
"I don't understand..." The boy whimpered, shaking his head from side to side, squeezing his eyes shut, trying to block it out. "No..."
"By the dawn's early light? What so proudly we-" The door opened, cutting "Dmitri" off. He turned around, quickly changing back to normal. His orderly gave what could only be called an evil smile. Medication time. For Dmitri, the needles came later on. For now, it was just some sort of pill, which he took silently.
((Well, I can't speak for the others, but Dmitri is in his... what's the right word here? Room?))
((ok, something needs to happen to get everyone together again....))
((Gah, I feel like I've been abandoning my own thread!! D: It's been quite the week... Okay, something to bring them together...? Group therapy, perhaps?))
((Hey, I'm game.))
((i can return to my room, if someone makes an "announcement" for a session.))
Shannon didn't now how long she was laying on her bed, tangled up in her blankets before she heard the door beings opened.
"It's time for Group Therapy." The orderly poked their head in the door. Shannon groaned and blinked. Her multiples vanished as she reluctantly sat up.
Guess the pills aren't cutting it anymore, Evangaline thought.. They seemed even more determined to give her that shot, but her superpowered panic mode witll have none of that, now.
Sharp. Needle. Poison. Unsanitary. Blood.
Ooooh....blood....my panic mode did NOT like blood, the calmer part of Evangaline remembered. Unless it was splattering the torso of the person holding the needle and it wasn't my own, I guess, because I apparently had no problem punching a hole in the orderly's chest and watching him stain the floor with red.
Seeing the threat neutralized, Evangaline calmed down and settled back into her corner. That is, until another orderly, probably without knowing the fate of the first due to his calm composure, announced group therapy. Great, more stimulus for my crazy side, Evangaline thought.
"It's time for group therapy."
Dmitri's orderly had come back in immediately following his finishing of the Star-Spangled Banner. Dmitri groaned. He hated speaking to anyone. No one seemed to completely understand him when he spoke anyways.
Mikey didn't know whether or not he should sigh with relief or cry out even more when a small group of orderlies arrived to unstrap him and start to take him away.
"It's time for group therapy, Mikey. Won't that be fun?" A cheerful voice said, breaking through the whispers, the voices. Mikey blinked a few times.
"I've already done Group..." He whispered weakly, even as he was being walked into the hall.
Joshi had gotten changed, she was now in a set of dark blue and gray plaid shorts and a white polo, her feet were still just in socks though when group therapy was called. She wandered out of her room and then stopped, unsure of where to go, she couldn't remember the way to the group therapy room and there was no oderly around here to ask.
Levi was let out of his room, he growled at the oderlies and gnashed his teeth. THey grabbed his arms and he kicked and fought them as they dragged him off to group therapy.
((Would you consider allowing me to join in, I have an idea for a carchter.))
