You must be dedicated, as in posting daily (occasional skipped days and warnings before absence are acceptable).
You must be readable. I want to be able to read and understand your posts. I do not want to have to ask you to elaborate or add detail. I am not setting a no one-liner rule, however, that one line better have meaning and a means of moving the scene forward. Don't slack off on detail and the character's feelings if you can help it.
You must be willing to put up with me and my somewhat OCD behavior and pickiness when it comes to RP's of my idea. I may ask for changes to character or posts if they do not fit reasonably with my general idea which I cannot express perfectly in words.
This will be a mature romance RP, although the focus isn't on the romance entirely. I am usually as detailed and mature as my partner.
Lastly, if you cannot fit with these requirements, I'd really prefer you not bother me, unless you've done 1x1s with me before.
I just watched John Carter and will admit to getting inspiration from it. however, it's only inspiration. This idea is not any further related to that story.
Our story begins with young man of science and invention in the late 1800s/early 1900s. Visiting a friend who claims to have invented a time machine. Believing his friend to be either pulling his leg or completely bonkers, seeing as he hadn't even tested the machine yet, he agreed to test it himself. It wasn't a time maching. Not exactly. It sends him far across space, to a world far away from earth.
This world is called Aeterna. Eternal.
The intelligent inhabitants are of three kinds: the natives, the flyers, and the builders. Otherwise known as the Autocthon, Angelus, and the Architect. These people are all at war with each other. And in this world, it seems this man from Earth can harness a 'magic' unlike any they have been able to harness themselves. He is the ultimate weapon, in the eyes of all sides. They all race to control him and his power, and he has no way home.
The Architect people are the only ones with any hopes of sending him home, and offer to help him if first he helps them. However, he will come to fall in love with an Angelus girl. What shall he do? How will the war be ended and what will he choose?
Take note, you'd likely only play the male character in all this, while I control the rest.
If you'd like I'll try it. I really like the ideas. I just hope I can play it up to your standards.
That's cool, I like the RP we have and am willing to try this one out with you. Skellie:
and anything else such as personality, bio, etc. is all optional.
Name: Vincent Valentino
Appearance: Vincent is tan; almost like a Brazilian. His eyes are a bright blue which look even brighter when contrasted with his complexion and dark brown hair. He stands at about 6'. He's a little muscular but not to an extreme. He's somewhere in the middle.
Name: Serah Fly
Appearance. Serah is very beautiful, seeming flawless at the first, and even second glance. Her skin is fair, not but a few freckles scattered on her cheeks and over her nose. Her eyes are a deep, lively blue, seeming like lightning in some opinions. Her hair is black and curly, falling a few inches past her shoulders. She stands 5'6" and is actually rather fit, but most of her kind are, since it takes being fit to be able to fly. Her wings are bird-like with dark gray feathers. They are extremely flexible, allowing her to fold them so tightly over her back, that, wearing the right clothing over them, they can't even be seen or noticed.
Alright so where are we going from here? Are you going to start or do you have anything else you would like to discuss?
Well it depends on where you'd prefer to start out. We could start with him going over to his friend's to see the machine, me playing the part of the friend, in which case it would be better if you started. Or we can skip that and go right to where he's in the other world, in which case I can start by giving a description of his surroundings.
Ummm let's start with him in the other world.
Also, um, I did't make it very clear about what specifically his 'magical powers' were supposed to be, and I guess I didn't have anything specific in mind, but I would like to have that figured out and have us agreeing on it before we start this.
Alrighty... Uhhh... What kind of power do you have in mind? Like casting spells or element bending or what?
Not spells. Nothing actually directly magic. More of...well this is a science fiction story. It has to be scientifically explainable to an extent by fictional rules.
....... I've got nothing. I'm not good with stuff like that. Like I can play it but coming up wiith the ideas... yeah I don't know.
Well we could cheat and pull aJohn Carter. Give him super strength and durability etc. etc.
I haven't seen that movie.. So it won't be cheating to me. :D Could you just elaborate a little so I know what you're talking about?
Okay, well, let me just sumarize what he could do. He could jump really high and really far. He killed someone with just one punch. He took on, like, an entire army, nearly single-handed except he had a little dog-like creature side-kick. Anyway, he was really tough and really strong compared to everyone else.
Okay. We can do that.
You can add or take away what you like, such as giving him speed or heightened senses or whatever.
Alright. You're going to start?
It was baren, like a desert. There were plants scattered about, but it was really just nothingness for miles around. Only the plants and rocks to provide cover here and there from the hot sun. At the loud thundering clapped caused by Vincent's transport, any animals around fled, giving calls of danger. This attracted the attention of Autocthon scouts. Only minutes after the transport, the scouts were riding up to the scene on their large beasts.
The Autocthon were humanoid, but they stood at 8 or 9 feet tall, and their skin was gray, resembling stone except their veins showed through their skin. Their faces were more slender. Their whole bodies were more slender. It was like they'd been stretched out. They spoke in a language unknown on earth, calling to each other, saying to be ready for danger.
