Ben stopped when Ryker grabbed his wrist, and it took him a moment for the words to register. "Oh... I'm sorry I kind of have a thing for just going head first into things..." he let his forehead rest gently against Ryker's. "That's alright. I'm not going to force you to do anything."
"I do... And then I don't." Ryker spoke quietly staring into Ben's eyes. He let go of his wrist to make sure the shirt he had on was covering his stomach. "It's too soon right now... I'm sorry." The smaller male's words sounded sincere as he rested his arms on Ben's shoulders loosely. "I mean... I like you but we don't know much about each other." Sure they went to school together but they never really talked much. Ben was hardly there but when he was Ryker could remember the small crush he had on him.
Ben nodded, "I understand, it's perfectly fine, Ryker, you don't have to apologize." he leaned forward and kissed him gently, just a small kiss, not expecting much more. "I like you too, but I understand what you're saying."
"I'm glad that you understand." Ryker said through a sigh. He kissed Ben gently before just playing with the hair on the nape of his neck. "Who would have thought? Me and Ben Holloway..." Ryker shook with head with a smile that reached his eyes. He hadn't moved his legs or made and implication in getting off the counter.
Ben smirked and gently ran his own hand through Ryker's hair. "I would have thought," Ben said softly. "I think you don't have enough faith in yourself. You're so much cooler than you think you are."
"Well you're the first person to think so." Ryker murmured still playing with Ben's hair. "I never really talked to anyone in school." he sighed phrasing it like he rather not talk to people when in reality everyone treated him like he was invisible. "Enough of this deep shi.t though. Let's watch a movie or something?" Ryker suggested not sure what Ben wanted to do.
Ben nodded and lifted Ryker off the counter before placing him on the ground. "Alright, we can watch a movie if you want to. What didn you have in mind?" he asked, taking Ryker's hand.
Ryker shrugged smiling when he felt Ben take his hand. He was glad Ben wasn't sore about them not having se.x. Ryker definitely wanted to; he just felt like it was too early right now. "I don't care. It's your house. You pick." Ryker said in a very sweet voice, looking up at Ben with his big beautiful eyes.
Ben smirked, "I have a lot of movies, and you're my guest, so I'd rather you pick, come on." he pulled Ryker into the living room. where there was a bookshelf full of movies next to the television set. "You can pick any one of them you want."
When Ben pulled him to the next room Ryker let him. He let out a sigh when the movies were presented to him though; he was so indecisive. "Well... Oh I don't know. Ummm..." Ryker scanned the movies seeing one labled "The Notebook". He guessed it had been Ben's mom's or something. "Oooo. This one." he said grabbing the DVD. That was another one of Ryker's feminine qualities; he loved chick flicks.
Ben smirked slightly at his choice. "Alright," he took the DVD and popped open the box before walking over to the television and putting the DVD in the player. "I've never actually seen this one... mom says it's sad."
((Oh my god that movie. T.T))
((Tralalalala! It was either that or Brokeback Mountain. xD I love both.))
Ryker felt his face turn slightly pink. He hoped Ben wouldn't make fun of him for enjoying it. "I love it. It's one of my favourites." he said before sitting down on the couch nervously.
"Alright," Ben turned on the television and grabbed the remote before going back and sitting next to Ryker, holding his hand again. "I just hope it isn't too sad."
"It's kind of bittersweet to me." Ryker explained as Ben sat down by him. He smiled to himself and laced their fingers together. "I love it though. So romantic." Ryker said feeling all tingly just thinking about it. He started humming the tune to himself that went with the words 'I'll be seeing you... In all the old familiar places...'
Ben looked to Ryker and smiled, squeezing his hand gently before looking back to the screen, really wanting to focus on this movie. He tried to promise himself he wouldn't get bored with this movie, like he did most others.
Ryker settled in to watch the movie. He had no trouble getting into it even though he had seen it dozens of times. As the story progressed Ryker got more and more absorbed. He had always preferred movies to tv shows.
Ben thought the movie was a little slow at first, but soon, he was interested in it, just sort of absorbing it. He found himself resting his head on Ryker's shoulder as he got more comfortable.
Ryker felt Ben's head and was momentarily caught off guard. He soon laid his own on top of Ben's. "Oh I love this part." Ryker whispered when the scene came up of Noah and Ally dancing in the middle of the street with no music. He started humming the song again as his thumb brushed across Ben's thumb.
Ben smiled and watched the scene, understanding why Ryker liked it so much. He didn't speak though, not wanting to possibly interrupt any part of the movie. He ran his thumb across the back of Ryker's hand before tracing little circles there with the tip of his finger.
After that part Ryker remained mostly silent. A smile rested on his lips every time he felt Ben and his own fingers brush each other's. It gave him butterflies which was a really new feeling for him. He liked it though. When the movie got to the part towards the end where the couple were in the rain yelling at each other Ryker's eyes watered. He sniffled trying to make it subtle so Ben wouldn't laugh at him.
