He glared at her. "And you're not going to ask me any questions, test me to make sure I'm not in espionage?"
A small smile touches Emily's lips. "Consider the fact that I'm very good with both my throwing knives and my sniper, as well as the fact that I am a shape-changer. Only a fool would give me cause to use any of those talents."
He grimaced and felt his pocket knife in his pocket; the rusty metal chipping. "I am not giving purpose to use those things. I am talking about a polygraph or other questions where you can ascertain if I am lying or not."
"Nothing different than any other new recruit. You'll stick with me for a few weeks, so I'll be able to keep an eye on you. Once I decide you're allowed to go on your own, you'll be given a radio, but you'll be expected to check in with us every other hour. And then there's the small detail of having a tracking device inserted." Emily shrugs. "It's efficient enough."
He smirks and itches his head. "Tracking device inserted. Lovely."
"Hey, it works," Emily says, shrugging slightly before turning to continue walking back toward HQ. "And you still have not answered me on whether or not you will take Luce's place."
