Nate slowed down so Yuki wouldn't hear them. "Yeah. She definately belongs here. You know what she is??" He asked quietly.
Name: Marshall Tyler
Species: Shadow Being (is made of shadows, but can be a solid mass.)
Appearance: Marshall is tall and lean, about 6ft 1in. He has brilliant cyan eyes. He has shaggy pale blonde hair and pale olive skin.
Personality: Marshall is very intelligent and witty. He chooses to remain silent on most occasions, but when he does speak, his advice is helpful. He likes to appear out of unexpected and random places to see peoples' reaction.
Marshall pulled himself onto the pier deck. He was soaked from swimming in the bay. He walked over to a picnic table and sat down. As he stared at a far off sail boat, he heard the voices of several friends. He glanced over in their direction.
Jake knew he should head back to the group, but after all this was the first time in awhile that he had streched his legs. He warned Shikume, then took off again, not caring about the thrunderous hoofbeats that could be heard all the way back at the group.
Marcus rubbed the back of his head and looked at Nate. "I'm guessing maybe shapeshifter? Could be some kind of Anima... Neko maybe? She kind of made me think of a cat." Marcus glanced up at the head of the group. "what do you think?"
Yuki gazed out at the horizon, enjoying the fresh breeze on her face and the soft chatter of her friends. Could they really be her friends now? Yes, she decided. They're my friends. She ran a hand through her hair just as she noticed someone out on the pier. He was sitting on the edge, as if he had come up out of the water.
Marshall could see that the group was excited. He locked his gaze on the unknown: a girl in the midst of the chatter. He stood, took one last glance at the bay, and walked to the group.
Shikume hurried back to town to try and find Yuki. Where is she? He wondered as he circled over the town. He then noticed a large group down by the port. Better check this out. Shikume swooped down behind a warehouse to observe from the shadows.
"Probably. She reminds me a little of Jake whe hes in his chair. You csn tell thats definately not who they are, they've got a whole nother side to them." Nate said. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw someone i the shadows
Upon reaching the group, Marshall realized the significance of the girl. She's one of us! Marshall thought. She has to be!
Shikume emerged from the shadows and approached the group casually. "So, how's the tour going? No problems so far."
The boy from the pier approached the group as they walked along the harbor. Yuki turned her head and spotted Shikume lingering at the edge of the group, murmuring something to the others. "How did he get here so fast?" she said out loud.
"Yeah," Marcus sighed. "But let's just act natural. let her enjoy her first day, ya' know?" Marcus jogged up to the front of the group and met Marshall with a fist bump. "Hey man," Marcus said and grinned at Marshall. "How was the swim?"
"And of course when I show up I cause a problem," Shikume hurriedly whispered to Nate. "Hey Yuki, I was looking for you guys. I heard that there was something going on down by the port so I decided to check it out. I got here quickly because I know my way around town real well." Shikume said with a smile on his face.
Nate tried to hide a grin. It was wierd having someone in town who didnt know. Vistas was remote enough that few people came here for the fun of it. Nate squirmed uncomfertably. His wings didnt like being holed up but he couldnt walk around with them out like he noremally did.
Marshall hit Marcus' fist bump head on. "Dandy," Marshall replied. "Who's the newcomer?" he said, bowing towards the girl.
"This is Yuki Takara. She moved here to Vista from Japan." Marcus replied to his good friend. Marcus grinned. He had known Marshall for a pretty long time, longer than the others. He was a close friend and one Marcus enjoyed hanging out with. "Why don't you say hello?" Marcus inquired.
"Well, everyone's down here near the bay," Yuki replied to Shikume. She noticed Marcus talking to the kid from the pier. He seemed friendly enough, so Yuki decided to try an approach. "Hi," she said, manuevering over to them. "I'm Yuki-- well, you probably already know that."
Heading over to Nate, Shikume could tell that his friend was itching to fly. "Hey, Marcus, you got things under control here?" Shikume asked. "If So, I think Nate and I should probably head out, see you around." Shikume grabbed Nate's wrist and dragged him away and out of Yuki's sight. "You ready to race?" Shikume asked Nate.
"Yes, I sort of did, but you can never say good things too many times," Marshall replied with a toothy grin. "I'm Marshall, nice to meet you," he said holding out his hand.
