((Hope this is good... Thanks for letting me join, and it sounds like a lot of fun!))
Ah, to be able to spread his wings without the worry of being noticed by normals. Shikume gently landed on a large branch of an old oak tree. He then walked into the small house hidden in the leaves high above the ground, and sat down thinking about the aura that Yuki had been raidiating. "She is definitely going to become someone special." Shikume whispered to himself.
Nate nodded hello to Marcus. " hey man. This is Yuki, who just moved here." he said indicating towards her.
"Oh," Marcus replied. "What's up?" Marcus thrust out his hand and smiled at her. He looked closer at the girl and noticed her hair, almost as dark as his, and her face. "Hm," Marcus thought. "Kind of like a cat?"
"Hi Marcus!" Jake said friendly. Sundenly his legs cramed up. He needed to run. Waving to the others, Jake rolled down the street and off to the woods. Once in, he unfolded his horse body from the wheelchair, and took off at a gallop, enjoying the wind on his face.
"Hey Ja-" he trailed off as Jake suddenly wheeled away. "Huh. Not like him to roll off like that..." Marcus stared off after him then turned back to the group. "Anyway, welcome to Vista!"
Yuki heard a new voice among the crowd and looked around. The boy who caught her eye had a tall stature with mischievous eyes (A strange bloodred-- maybe contacts? she thought) and dark hair. His mouth was upturned in a smile, showing two canine-like teeth. Yuki had never seen anyone like him, but decided to go with a traditional friendly approach. "I'm Yuki. I'm new," she said for what felt like the millionth time. "And you are?"
"Haha, sorry, I know you've probably been asked that a ton already... But I'm Marcus. Nice to meet you!" Marcus replied as he shook her hand.
"That's okay," Yuki said, feeling slightly embarrassed. It was like he had read her mind! "Everyone's been so friendly so far."
The thundering of hoof beats startled Shikume from his thoughts. "I was wondering when he would head out here." Shikume jumped up, ran out the door, and leapt from the branch letting his wings unfurl as he dove towards the ground. Noticing Jake Shikume tried to get his attention. "Jake!" Shikume yelled. "What did you think of Yuki?" Shikume questioned as he flew alongside Jake as he galloped.
Marcus lost his smirk for a second when he felt something weird. He stared at Yuki curiously, feeling it was coming from her. "Hey-" Marcus paused. He didn't want to say anything weird and startle her. He held his tongue and waited to see what was going to happen next.
"Hey Shikume!" Jake panted as he gallpoed. He hadn't goten out of his wheelchair in a while, and was out of shape. Slowing down in a medow, he stoped for a mintue. Regaining his breath, he still had the urge to run, but contained it long enough to answer. "I don't know. She ovbiously doesn't know that she's not fully human. I wish we knew, we could make sure she isn't dangerous."
"What is it?" Yuki asked curiously as Marcus' face lost its smirk. He looked taken aback. Oh no, she thought, it's starting all over again.
Marcus looked a bit suprised, and put up his hands and shook them. "Oh, no it's nothing, I was just staring into space." Marcus said sheepishly and returned the grin to his face. "There's nothing to worry about," he replied. "Why don't the five of us show you around?" Marcus nodded to the others to ask their opinions.
((Hey do you mind if i join? I can get a charcter put together.))
Hovering close by as Jake rested Shikume let the sun warm his wings. "I get the feeling that she is similar to me somehow, maybe it's the animalistic charistics she shows." With this, Shikume landed and sat down on a fallen tree. "I still can't tell if it is good or bad that these things are showing in her aura."
Nate looked Yuki over. Marcus is right, she is kinda cat like. Shapeshifter, maybe?? he thout to himself. It was a litle hard to tell what some people were just based on their appearance, especially when they were either hiding or didnt know about themselves yet.
The group massed together and started to walk to the port, where there were places to sight-see and eat. Marcus fell to the back of the group, next to Nate. "Hey," Marcus whispered to Nate. "You felt it too?"
Yuki grinned. I must have imagined it, she thought with a soft sigh. "That'd be great," she said out loud. "I've wanted to go down to the pier since we moved here."
