((Thank you guys!! :D))
((Awesome job, Tessa! :) Also, sorry I haven't posted, my last one was (of course) deleted...))
Marcus stood up and sighed. "It's not like there's anything that I really need to tell you." he said, starting to regret having brought out the sword. "It's a sword I recieved last night from a shade. You know, like a shadowy being. Anyways, it's able to channel my power even when it's sheathed." he explained. "It's sort of like a power focuser I guess." he added. "Okay, now that that's out of the way, what do you all want to do?"
Jake looked at Marcus then at the rest of the group. "I've never met a shade but it doesn't sound trustworthy." Jake looked back at Asilin who didn't look happy. "Asilin, can I talk to you about training?"
Aislin frowned at the mention of a shade, but shook it off and nodded to Jake. "Sure. Yuki, Nate, Marcus, Shikume, do you guys want to start training by yourselves? We'll figure out a training plan." She let out a breath, silently relieved that she had been able to smooth that situation over. The commanding voice in her head had died down to a low murmur, but she still felt uneasy, especially as she and Jake stepped off to the side.
((Thanks Mitch! :D))
Jake waited until they were away from the group to talk. "So your main skill is illisions right? I was wondering could you distract who ever we are fighting? Like sundenly there was a wall in front of them, they try to stop, and we go right through to attack. Do you think you could do things like that?"
Nate nodded. "want to go again??" he offered to marcus. now that he knew that he could take on the hakf demon without resirting to his fukl power, nate was more then willing ti continue sparing with him. my secret shoukd be safe
Nate nodded. "ok you guys want to try sparring 2 on 1??"he asked shukume and marcus. he was feeling better although still a bit wary of the sword. shade or no shade, that thing wasnt going to plsy nice. on the plus side though, nate now knew thst he could take on his demon friend without revealing himself
Aislin thought. "Well, I usually have a bit more trouble with the bigger illusions, like a wall, as you said, but I could definitely get it up there if I had enouth time. I guess maybe I'll start training with those - the bigger illusions, I mean. But I'm just going to warn you, there are some people out there who can tell the difference between illusion and reality. So my power may not work on everything."
Yuki nodded at Nate's suggestion. "And I'll watch, try and get some fighting tips. After all, I've never fought before!" she said with a nervous laugh. I guess I'm stalling for myself, she thought, but I'm just not ready to try using my nekomata form.
Marcus nodded and smiled. "Okay then, I'll just leave this here and we can start." he said, walking over to a hollow tree trunk and setting the sword inside. Hurrying back over, he got closer to Nate and whispered, "Do you think we could maybe do something to allow Yuki to use her nekomata form freely? You know, like a release or something?" He waited for an answer, but turned and stepped away a bit like they were getting ready to spar. As long as Nate gave a simple reply like, "Maybe," or "Yeah," no one would notice. Otherwise they could talk later.
((No problem Tessa. :) I read your article right after and it amazed me. Good job!))
"I'm okay with sparring," Shikume responded, "it's been a while since I've practiced with others, but it's always nice to have an excuse to prctice arial combat." Shikume let his wings out and prepared to fight.
((I forgot to say this, but Tessa, your article was amazing to read. Congrats!))
((Aw, thank you so much!! I have such awesome friends :D))
Aislin promptly shifted and crouched low to the ground. Often, she found it easier to use her illusion magic in fox form, but today, it was like she could barely concentrate. The voice in her head was getting louder with each passing minute, and Aislin was getting very irritated. I'll get it, okay? I just can't do it now! Give me some time!
Yuki noticed Marcus whispering something to Nate, but figured it wasn't important if they weren't telling everyone and went to go sit by a larger tree. She was excited to see her friends spar, but also a little anxious. How powerful are they, exactly? "Aren't they worried about hurting each other?" she wondered, settling against the tree.
Nate nodded to marcus. A release should work out well for Yuki. "hey, yuki, do you want to maybe go 2 on 2 with us?? just fir practice??"
((hey mitchell what exactly do you mean by the release?? like a tlaisman or something to focus her power or something else??))
((Yeah I assume so. A talisman, like you said, or something. I guess kind of like the sword.))
Marcus stretched his arms above his head and waited for Yuki's reply. "Anything's good with me." he told Nate.
((Umm, I really didn't have any specail fighting skills for Jake, so I don't know what to do with him))
((It's okay, Greek, you can make up whatever you like - either something like magic or actual physical weapons, I've heard about centaurs using both ^-^))
Yuki jumped, remembering that Marcus had asked her a question. "Sure, that's cool," she said, shrugging, as she got up from sitting against the tree and joining the group.
((Haha, sorry, forgot about the question! >.<))
((ok cool ))
"yuki and i against shikume and marcus??" nate usggested, unfolding his wings so they hung by his sude as opposed to folded tightly against his back.
Jake nodded to Aslin. "Well it's worth a shot. Mabey you can build up stanima for creating bigger ilsions." Jake walked back to the group and watched them get ready to spar.
"Sounds okay to me I guess." Marcus replied. "How 'bout you guys?" he asked. He had sort of forgotten what Shikume could do. "Ready when you are," he told the others, crouching in a fighting stance. For a second, he wondered how much time they had before the crisis came. He shook his head from the thought and glanced to the tree where his sword was. He was reassured when he saw the hilt, then he turned back to the fight. "Hey, after this do you guys want to get some lunch?" he suggested, a bit out of the blue.
