Flying overhead, Shikume noticed that everyone was starting to converge at the park. "Wonder what's happening?"
(( oh cool! gotcha now tha ks :) ))
Nate struggled to control his breathing. "thank you" he murmered to marcus. his whole body felt like it was having a part of it ripped off. after a few seconds, the feeling went away and nate felt more himself then he had in a long time. the craving was gone. Nate turned to shikume. "whats up man? beautiful day out today, right??"
Marcus gave a weak smile. He had been fighting and hadn't slept in 48 hours. He fell and face-planted the sidewalk, somehow asleep.
((can i join back in? the internet at my house has been down. >.<))
((Yea, I presume so))
Jake rolled over to Marcus who was on the ground. "What were you two doing?" Jake asked supiously. What did Marcus eel he needed to keep a secrete, why was Nate backing him up?
"nothing like a shot of demon fire to get you going in the morning."nate said cheerliy, try ing to come up with an excuse to why arcus and just rammed him with fire and was now oassed out on the ground. Shikume and marcus were the only two who knew about the cravings and the withdrawl thNate had been going through. Nate glanced nervously from shikume to jake to yuki and turkey.
((yeah charles_randomly!! ))
"Hi, guys," Yuki interjected as they reached Marcus and Nate. "Uh... what're you doing out so early?" Somehow, the fact that Marcus was unconscious on the ground hardly surprised her. Not after the crazy events of yesterday.
"Well, I see that this was an morning wake up call. Anyway, Nate you want to go get some Cinnamon rolls?" Shikume asked eagerly.
Jake was upset. Nate's explanation didn't explain anything, the two of them were horible liars. Jake sighed knowing they didn't want to talk about it. He didn't want to pry, but he did want to know why his friend was snoring on the sidewalk. He bit his lip and let it drop. "Cinnamon rolls sound good."
((Hey guys, I can't be on for the next like four days, sorry!))
((Aww... And glad to have ya back Charles! *cough cough* Z-Day *cough*)) Marcus knew he looked like a fool but was too tired to think about it while he was sleeping. Someone jammed their foot into his ribs and he woke slightly. "Wuhh, huh?" he mumbled. It was Nate telling him to get up and come get breakfast with the others. Marcus groaned and made a tedious task of getting up. "Ok," he muttered, "what're we having?" They all began to walk towards the shop for breakfast, and Marcus fell in next to Jake. "Hey," he whispered, completely serious this time. "I'm sorry, and talk to me later." he strolled up next to Shik, pounded him on the back and raced him to the bakery shop.
Nate grinned as he joined his friends walking to a local bakery. he felt really bad about lying to everyone, but this was too big to explian. Nate wasnlt even sure the extent of what Marcus had done. oh well. theyd figure that out when they got there. for now, there was cinnimon buns
((We'll be waiting, GreekGoddess :) )) Yuki's stomach growled in anticipation at the breakfast she had missed. Nate's hasty explanation nagged at the back of her mind, making her frown slightly. She knew there was something they weren't telling her, but she didn't want to force any information. Ahead of them, Marcus broke into a run and raced to the bakery, and she felt her spirits lift slightly. "Hey guys, race you there!" she called to her friends. Yuki's feet pounded on the sidewalk, and her breath came in short gasps. I'll tell them about the dream later, she decided.
"I love cinnamon rolls!" Shikume yelled as they raced to the bakery. "Last one there pays for everyone!"
Yuki grinned at Shikume's eagerness. She had never heard of cinnamon rolls before, but she was willing to bet they were delicious, judging by the looks of anticipation on everyone's faces.
(( Sorry I didn't post yesterday ))
Turkey was lurking behind everyone, being suprisingly quiet. He was confused of the happenings going around. Turkey glanced at his friends sprinting away. Just then what Shikume said processed in his mind. Turkey started running to the bakery not wanting to pay.
Out of the corner of her eye, Yuki saw Turkey lingering at the back of the group. At Shikume's challenge, however, he broke into a run as well. She grinned again and sped up a little. Maybe he knows something about what's going on, Yuki thought. Ah, well. Cinnamon rolls first, questions later. I just hope that nothing's wrong.
Nate grinned and joined the others in sprinting to the bakery. He didnt have any money on him, so paying was not going to bode well for him.
Marcus sighed and started to slow down. He really wanted to beat everyone there, but Jake couldn't race as well (he would beat everyone in centaur form) and Marcus fell back to jog next to him. He also was probably the only one with a bit of money, weirdly enough since he had been fighting, but whatever. "Sorry you can't just beat everyone today," he apologized to Jake. "Plus, if you were in centaur form, we'd have no chance."
Yuki reached the entrance to the bakery, breathless, and turned around to wait for the others. Marcus was jogging next to Jake, and Nate was only a few feet away-- Guess I'm not paying, she thought gleefully, and then, I never thought I'd have friends to do this with. She smiled, a small smile, and waved at her friends. "Come on! I'm starving!"
