They were inseparable. Childhood friends who grew up together and had fallen in love. He had always been the stronger of the two, the one who protected the other from the big bad world.
And yet, when she was sixteen, she broke. She had always found life a little hard to deal with, but she'd always managed to stay afloat before. Now, she was drowning in all the sadness clawing inside her, suffocating her. He tried to help her, honestly he did. He would sit and hold her tightly as she cried. He would talk her out of hurting herself - or at least, he tried to. He was the only person she would even allow to try and help. But it did no good.
Ten months later, she tried to kill herself. He came round to her house to find her unconscious. He'd thought she was getting better and he blamed himself for not being there to talk her out of it. He put her in his car and drove her straight to the hospital, even though he knew she would hate him for it. All he cared about was the chance that they might be able to save her.
And they did. She was in hospital for a week before they moved her to a secure mental hospital while they tried to heal her depression. He visited her every day, without fail. But he kept a secret the fact that he had been the one who had got her put in there. She swore blind that whoever it was was no friend of hers and she'd never speak to them again.
Then, a year later, she was pronounced suitably recovered to be able to return home. He was the one who drove to pick her up and promised to continue to look after her as she adjusted to life again.
But how would they cope as they realised that things have changed? Would he manage to keep his involvement in her hospitalisation a secret and look after her, whilst fighting his own demons as well? And would they manage to stay together through everything?
Lit and Ded please :) You can take the girl.
I will do it! If you will take me :)
((Of course - can you do a skellie? I find it easier that way. They're aged 17/18.))
((Sure, I will when I get on a computer.))
Name: Brigdet Caroline Maxwell
Age: 18 (Just recently turned)
Appearance: Bridget has long honey blonde hair with natural waves. Her skin is ivory, smooth and delicate with a pure blush at her cheeks. She has big round, brown eyes the hue of chocolate and long full lashes. Her thin arched eyebrows causes her to appear sneaky. Bridget's full lips naturally have a rosy hint and her smile is straight and white. The one thing that she thinks of her imperfection are her freckles. She hates them, but they bring out the playful side in her. She has curves; small waist and flat stomach due to several times where she wouldn't eat for a period of time thanks to her depression. Her legs are naturally long and thin. Her feet are small but she hates her toes and her arms are longer as well. She is shorter compared to her boyfriend. Maybe around 5'5". She enjoys wearing anything comfortable, normally some shorts and a nice open t-shirt.
Personality: Her mood varies on the day. If it's gloomy outside, she is depressed and will throw on some sweatpants and mope around all day. But on sunny bright days, she is out and about, being playful and willing. She can be quite sensitive but is typically forgiving. She enjoys to run along the beach and feel open. She can be very devious and sarcastic. But when she is in a bad mood, her cheeks turn bright red, pullign out a lip and crossing her arms. She enjoys caring for others but when sad, is very clingy, usually to her boyfreind. She looks down on herself and can be very self-concious. It's a miracle she hasn't converted to bulimia.
History: She has lived on the Florida coast most of her life. She lived with her parents happily as the youngest. Her sister was older than her by a few years so by the time that Bridget was 11, her sister was in college. Around 17 though, her sister who had become happily married and had two girls had died due to breast cancer. Though the age difference, they were very close. they told everything to each other. So her Malary's, her sister's, death affected her profoundly striking much depression.
Weakness: Tickling. Of everything. Tickling. She can't stand it and breaks out in huge fits with the laugh she hates. She is addicted to I Love Lucy and would do anything for her two neices and brother-in-law.
Wierd Habits: Twirls her hair. Wrinkles her nose. Swings her legs.
((She's brilliant :) I've nearly done mine and I'll try to finish it on the train today.))
Name: William (Will) Holland
Appearance: Will is very tall at 6'4" and usually towers above everyone he is around. He has played a lot of sport for a large proportion of his life and so is muscular and athletic. His favourite sports are rugby and sailing, although he's had less time to do them recently because he's been trying to be there for Bridget.
Will has light brown hair which falls in tight curls to the bottom of his ears. His eyes are an emerald green, flecked with fragments of blue. His skin is nicely tanned because of the time he likes to spend outdoors, especially on the water.
Will has a defined face, with high cheekbones and a chiseled jaw. His smile is crooked but gentle and he has dimpled cheeks and laughter lines around his eyes. Will usually wears jeans and a t-shirt, although he's never really very bothered.
Personality: Will is generally a very positive and happy-go-lucky person. He can always find the best in a situation is is often seen without a smile. He cares deeply about those he's close to and will do anything to look after them and keep them safe, particularly Bridget. He is a very calm and patient person, so when he loses his temper you know it's something big. Will can be read like an open book and his emotions are very easy to pick up on. If he's hurt, he'll tell you, bluntly and without embarrassment.
((I don't normally do this, but I'll give it a go...))
Weakness: Peanut butter and melted marshmallows. Together. He'd do anything for them and he eats them constantly. He doesn't really have an defined phobias, although of course he's scared of many things.
Weird habits: If Will is sitting with someone he's close to he'll stroke their hair or their hand without realising he's doing it.
((He's amazing :D What does TBD for history mean? ))
((To Be Developed. He has some secrets and stuff that I'd prefer to reveal throughout the rp rather than spelling out here. Who do you want start?))
I will in a minute here.
Bridget breaths in, listening to the waves roll in with the tide. The air is salty and fresh, her toes tingling in the cool water. Willw is suppose to meet her and she arrived early to get a moment of silence with the sea.
Will hummed to himself as he parked his car. He'd cleared it out to make room for Bridget's suitcases, and the only thing in the boot was a picnic blanket and a basket of food. He planned to surprise her with an impromptu picnic on the way home. He strolled into the hospital, familiar with it after visiting his girlfriend daily for a year, and asked at the front desk where she was.
The lady explained that she had left to the beach whick was just across the road.
Will smiled as he thanked the lady and went to find Bridget. He saw her from a way off and started to run, collapsing into the sand beside her. "Hello beautiful," he grinned.
She smirks and helps wipe the sand from him before tackling him with a hug. "I missed you," she sighs.
"I missed you too," Will replied, pulling Bridget onto his lap and holding her tightly. "I haven't seen you for a full eighteen hours. I drove as quickly as I could, but everyone else was on the roads. I was stuck in traffic for ages."
She grinned and smoothed out his shirt. "Sounds like it sucks," she said flatly.
"It did, but it was worth it to be able to pick you up," Will said honestly. "I have a surprise for you in the car. I thought we could have a picnic before we go home."
Bridget bit her lip and grinned, her hands still resting on his chest. "We having it here?" She asked.
