Twilla crossed her arms casually over her chest. She spat loudly into the dirt beside her as she listened and watched. She watched with a lazy smile, though her eyes were sharp and hard.
Kayla was starting to lose some of her encoragement. Everyone was so serious. They weren't training or fighting, why not just make the best of things? It was going to take a lot to losen up this lot.
Avon scoffed slightly at the one girl who wanted him as a mentor. "Someone's a bit cocky, aren't they."
"You have to be to win a war," she said calmly. "And no, it's actually more of a compliment to you." She smiled a shark's smile.
"You don't have to be cocky to win a war," Avon rolled his eyes. "When you're cocky, you lose the war. You have to be ready for what you know is coming to win. And being overconfident doesn't do that at all."
Shana looked at her feet, put in place. She waited for him to tell them who their Mentors were, a slow rush of blood creeping over her face.
Avon pointed to the girl he'd scolded for being cocky. "You're going to be under me," he made sure she heard him before went back to scanning the room.
Shana looked up sharply. After a moment a wicked grin split her face and she felt elated. She knew she'd learn so much under Avon. They thought the same way, at least they mostly did. She glanced around the room at the others, trying to see who she was training with.
Kayla perked up sayig, "Oooh! Who am I under?" She started to bounce on her heals again.
Twilla moved forward a little, just a half step. She reached up to scratch her nose, pushing back the too big sleeve of her jacket. She kept her casual, lazy smile, hiding her unease and uncertainty.
Dimitri remained motionless as he watched. He was like a ghostly little statue, standing there completely stiff, still, silent. The only motion he made was the way his eyes moved back and forth, taking in the scene silently, unreadable.
Kayla sighed, wondering when they were actually going to do something. She was getting restless.
(( Bump ))
((sorry i was waiting for AtSixesandSevens... they're the only other mentor...))
((Haha, it's fine. BUMP))
((continuously bumping i guess))
((As Winnie the Pooh always says.....BUMP))
((lol at winnie the pooh))
Twilla was starting to get impatient with all this. She had come here for a reason. Well, multiple reasons, but that wasn't the point. The point was, she wanted to get started training as soon as possible.
"C'mon..." She muttered under her breath, reaching up to adjust her hat over her hair, keeping it covered. She spat in the dirt again, the very unladylike glob of spit hitting the ground.
