Twilla's grin seemed to both widen and shrink as she realized it would be her turn next.
Kayla looked on at the bleeding kid. Scar had ended the pratice so quickly. Kayla was slightly worried about him.
Avon pointed to Shana, "You're up now," he pulled his sleeves down slightly, they had gotten out of place during his sparring with Kayla.
Why does he keep pulling his sleeves down? Kayla wondered. She wanted to ask but somehow knew she would be yelled at.
((I just like to post :D))
((lol that's alright. I like to post too))
Shana bounced on her feet, ready. She brought her fists up in a defensive position, always moving, on the alert.
(me likes posting too! It's a small world after all....))
Avon dropped back into his attack position and went completely still for a moment before lunging at her, aiming to punch her stomach.
Shana let him hit her stomach. When he expected her to double over--which she very nearly did--she spun away with a jab to the face.
She hit him in the face, and he was slightly surprised at that, but that meant he didn't have to go easy on her. He tilted his head to the side before spinning around and aiming a kick towards her head.
Dimitri pressed his lips tighter together as he pressed his hand against the slash the Mentor had left on his side. He glance down at it, not even wincing. Just frowning a little deeper.
Scar beckoned to Twilla. "Your turn."
Shana ducked, but wasn't fast enough. He landed a blow that hit the side of her head, and snapped her head back. She brought a hand to the wound, gritted her teeth, and kept her fists up. She took a jab to his chest, desperate to get another hit in.
Twilla didn't even pause before lunging forward with a deep yell.
((what's your weapon again? I'm too lazy to check :P))
((A nice big hammer))
Avon spun around, trying to avoid her jab, but failing for the most part. It hit his chest, and responded by swinging his arm back towards her neck.
Shana was so shocked she'd managed to hit him again that she didn't move as his arms came towards her neck.
Scarlett took a huge hammer out herself. She swung it in the air for practice, then beckoned Twilla to attack first. "Don't grip so hard," she instructed. "You want to feel as if the hammer is an extension of your arm."
"I know how to handle a hammer." Twilla snapped coolly. True enough, she hefted the hammer a little. It was a little lighter than the one she had back home. She'd have to get used to that.
Kayla's head swung back and forth between the two matches eyes wide at all the ingurys. What was the point of training just to get hurt?
Scarlett raised a dainty eyebrow at Twilla. The girl had fire, but she didn't know how to use it. "I like you," Scar said, "But your arrogance is going to get you killed." Before she had finished her sentence, Scar deftly brought down her hammer towards Twilla's arm.
Twilla moved back and swung with her own hammer. It was a swing perfected by the time she had spent working, trying to be a man to be proud of.
