Ella sighed softly, she felt so warm in his hands. She forgot who she was for a second, though that was all it took. She quickly turned her head slightly to the side, so that her lips were on he heel of his hand, she pressed a soft kiss to it, then she flitted back to reality, her face turning a bright red at what she just did.
Jaq nearly jerked his hand away when he felt her kiss his hand. He felt his cheeks heat up a little, and he felt her face heat up under his touch as well. His hand tingled where she had kissed it, and his jaw went a little slack.
"That...that was nice..." He finally croaked out.
"I-I I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that... I wasn't thinking." Ella whispered, why had she done that? He clearly didn't like it, even if he said he did. He was just being nice. She closed her eyes in shame, not believing what she just did. His hand was still on her face, it wouldn't suprise her if he slapped her. She wouldn't blame him. She would slap her too.
"No, really...It was really nice." Jaq gave her a shy smile. He smoothed his hands carefully over her cheeks. "No one's...no one's ever been this close to me..."
Ella smiled, he actually did like it. Her stomach tied itself into knots. "I like it too." She whispered softly. "Your hands feel nice...I like it when you touch me." She heard herself whisper. Did she really just say that? Oops. That wasn't meant to be said aloud.
"I'm glad." Jaq gave her a genuine, bright, happy smile. He kept gently smoothing his hands over her face, gingerly, carefully, as though he was afraid to hurt her. "I-I like your face. It's nice and..and soft. Like your hands."
Ella forced herself not to move, she closed her eyes again softly relaxing in his hands. His touch was so.... Nice. Ella made a soft signing sound not letting herself move from his hands.
Jaq kept smiling as he touched her face. She felt so nice, so wonderful under his hands.
"B-beautiful." He whispered softly. The word felt strange in his mouth. He had never used it before. He had never found anything to use the word for, he ha never seen or felt or hear anything quite as...beautiful as her.
Ella couldn't hardly breath, he called her beautiful. He really did. She pressed another kiss to his hand, in his palm this time. It was all she could do for she couldn't even think of words clearly.
"A-are we going to walk...?" Jaq asked, keeping his hands against her cheeks. He kept smiling, smiling even wider in fact, even as his cheeks blushed red. He felt happy, for once. Really, truly happy.
"Yes." Ella pulled out of his hands standing up, then took one of his hands into her own to help him up. "Any place you want to go?" She asked.
"I...don't really know any places. I just walk." Jaq said, standing up slowly, carefully. He held her hand a little tighter, shuffling forward a few steps, making sure there were no rocks or sticks to trip him up. All the while, his strings dragged behind him.
Ella looked at him sadly, it wasn't fair that he had to carry the strings. She thought in wonder, could he tie them up? Like in a bow/know on his back? She thought about that slightly. "Okay. Then we will just walk." She smiled as they started to walk. ((How far off is her idea? Lol))
((Not too far off, actually. :) No one's really had the patience to untangle them and tie them up for him...))
"Right." Jaq flashed her his quiet, but sincere little smile. He shuffled forward a little more, careful not to trip, not to stumble.
Ella looked over at his strings that dragged, almost seeming to cause him to trip often. "Why don't you tie the strings up?" She asked slowly, almost unsure. They seemed to be the cause of most of his trouble.
"My strings? Oh...Well...I can't tie them myself, and no one's ever tried to untangle them and tie them. So they just drag." Jaq got slowed down as his twisted strings caught on a stray branch. He frowned a little bit and groped at the string, trying to pull it free.
"We can go for our walk after I tie them." Ella states so it wasn't a choice or a question. She reached up to untangle it from the branch then lead him to a tree stump to sit on. She then sat in the moss covered dirt behind him to start to untangle them.
Jaq sat completely still, almost dumbfounded. Not even Rags, as patient with him as she was, had ever tried to untangle his strings. He remained as still as he possibly could, sitting stiff and solid.
Ella knew that this could very well take hours, and she was okay with that. It would be worth it to see him able to walk. She counties untangling them, humming a different song than before.
"That's a pretty song." Jaq said quietly. He still sat stiff and straight, even though it was starting to ache. He stayed where he was, not even daring to move.
