Ani stopped Cole from killing the beast, "it's fine, I made him sleep." She looked at the creature passed out on the ground. "Are you okay?" She asked, he had been thrown into the river pretty hard. On the other side if her mind she could think only one thing, cover blown.

As Ayden slept, his body cracked it self back into it's normal form. Human. But the beast wasn't going down quite so easily. He pushed at the back of Ayden's subconscious, scratching at his mind. Although still asleep, Ayden started to toss and turn, groaning in pain.
Cole stood up and stared at the man in fascination. "hmm, interesting."
"Yea, um, I guess I learned how to use my powers?" Aim said weakly, it was pretty clear that she had given up on the whole act. "Sorry? Please don't blow me up."
"That' fine." Cole said. "I'm too much of a nice guy." Cole smiled and scratched his head, "and I suggest that you practice your lying more..."
Ani sighed,"I know...." She took a deep breath, she hated this. "sadly, I really think I deserve to be blown up." She truly believed she did, she thought she was influencing him to like her right now, though the truth was she was currently having no influence on him.
"Well," Cole said, 'save it for when you're old. Cause I don't plan on having you or me die."
"You don't get it do you? I controlled him. I can, and have, controlled you! You are likely being controld right now, I don't think I am, but you aren't blowing me up so I don't see why I wouldn't be then..." Ani closed her eyes putting her hands over her face, "no one really likes me, I make them like me. Just blow me up and get it over with already."
"No can do," Cole chuckled, "I'm a nice guy, besides I keep my mind organized. I've even gone through various mental training procedures so I notice thoughts that don't belong to me. I think." Cole frowned.
"Well you clearly didn't earlier, when I asked to come with you. And I'm guessing the same thing occurred when you saved my life." Ani looked at her hands, "don't tell me that you just risk your life to save everyone. I'm not stupid Cole."
"Well, I do." Cole said, "I'm smart, yet I save everyone I can. I'm stupid that way, besides my friends and family taught me well. I watched t.v. all day while learning about morals. If your alive and you don't try to help people, then your life is wasted. That's my motto."
"Interesting, I wonder how hard you are to control, look, I need to learn how to work on people a little better so if you ever feel like being a test dummy, let me know." Ani said them looked back down at the creature, strange. She glanced up again to meet Cole's eyes.
"I'm all for it," Cole smiled. "Go for it, I might notice if any foriegn thoughts just suddenly come into mind." Cole encouraged.
Ani smiled, wrong choice. She decided to pick a simple command, then once he though the test was over and wasn't expecting anything she would try another. 'Water, thirsty...' She thought then reached her hand out to him lightly, 'thirsty, need water...'
Cole had the sudden urge to drink water, he was thirsty. Cole walked near the edge of the stream before stopping. He turned around, "you just did it! You wanted me to drink water." Cole smiled, then frowned, "although don't tell anyone else your power, well not that you can influence someone's thoughts."
"I wasn't even planing on telling you. Anyway, we should get some rest before going any further." Ani said then walked over to the boy-monster. "And we should tie it up."
"Him, not it." Cole said, "if you're refering him as an 'it' than we're 'its' too." Cole pointed to himself and Ani. "Well, yeah, we should get some rest."
"Well, I consider myself a it also so I agree with you completely." Ani said then sat leaning onto a tree.
"I don't consider myself an it." Cole murmured, "We still have some part human in us."
