Ani stepped from the ship, the guards had been nothing but careful and nice to her. Wonder why? She smiled at her little trick, though it was short lived. She stumbled onto the island then looked around. She noticed a boy, being hit? She reached out slightly attempting to have the guard be nicer to him.
Cole walked away from the guards. He restrained his anger at the guards. They were only doing their jobs, they didn't know him. Cole entered the waiting room where they'd wait for a couple of hours before being able to enter the island. During the trip, Cole had studied the map of the island. The island was big, it had a city called Misfit in the middle, a few cities here and there but between the cities was jungle, rainforest, mountains, every climate imaginable. There was no doubt that monsters roamed the place too. Not just human monsters but animal monsters too.
Lucy's instincts were screaming at her. She had to get away. Lucy hadn't come easy, that was for sure, and she was feeling the consequences. Her head ached and throbbed, the drug they had pumped in her system to calm her down was slowly lifting and she found her vision to be clear again. Lucy growled and snapped at a guard, but he ignored her. She was unceremoniously dragged into daylight and dumped on the sand. There were trees! Automatically, Lucy started to run, sprinting for the forest cover.
Cole saw a girl run for the forest. He sighed, the guards would end up catching her before she'd be able to escape.
Faye was shoved, and not gently, into the waiting room where she saw a boy looking out the window. She looked past him and saw what he was watching: a girl running for the woods. It was odd to her that someone would want to get away from this. She figured she could either keep others safe by being here or die and leave her misery behind. And she was happy to do both.
Ani was lead to the waiting room with a few others, she noticed several guards run away and after someone or something. But who? She didn't know and frankly didn't really care, though it was mildly interesting.
Power:Primal Beast. When his power is active, Ayden becomes what looks like a hairless, wingless bat, the size of a grown man, with claws the size of breadknives and very long skinny limbs. In this form he has no memory of anything, his only thought is kill. When his powers are active, he can either walk on hind legs or all fours, he is incredibly stong, agile, fast and vicious. The only way for him to stay in human form is for him to eat fresh meat regularly.
Appearence:Ayden has a averagely sized shaven head, and squinty dark blue eyes that are almost black. He is tall for his age and rather thin, though he does have quite muscular arms. He has light olive skin, which gives him a sickly essence during the day. He wears jeans and
t-shirt mostly, but he prefers to focus on comfort rather than style.
Bio:Before the meteors hit, Ayden was outgoing, happy and boisterous. He wasn't afraid of anything, and everyone loved him for it. But now he has become isolated and shy; too scared to get close to anyone. And with good reason, because the beast is always there. The beast didn't care about his family when it ripped them limb from limb; so why would it care about anyone else?
Other:Ayden hates his power, and will do anything to keep it under control.
Hungry. So very hungry, thought the Ayden. Kill them! Kill them all! Rip them apart! He fantasized about the blood spilling from there guts, and the bones cracking in there limbs. He attempted a death threat to the gaurds outside the cargo container he was being kept in, but it came out as a low muffled scream. "You ready?" he heard on gaurd say to another. "Ready as i'll ever be." the other gaurd replied. Suddenly, a flood light glared into the container as the door creaked open. The cage he was being kept in was thick and barred, they really didn't want him to escape. Ayden liked that, it meant they were afraid of him. They started to wheel him out. As he looked around, Ayden noticed 2 things. The first was a solitary room, no doubt where he would be sent next. And second was a figure, running towards the entanglement of plant growth ahead. It was a girl, and she was being chased. All thoughts were wiped from his mind when they started moving him again. Just as he had suspected, they were taking him to the room. But what he had not anticipated, were the others that were in there already. ARRGAAGGHAAGG! he roared at them with a burning hunger, desperatley trying to escape his prison. At that moment he heard a noise on he cage floor next to him. One of the larger gaurds looked at him "Dinner time" he said with a look of digust. Ayden turned around, only to see a large rabbit had been placed next to him. The hunger was to great. He devoured the innocent creature whole, and within moments, he was returning to his human form, and his normal quiet self.
When everyone was transported from the ship to the room-about 200 people- Cole had observed some interesting people. There was a girl who was handled nicely, the monster girl, and the guy who morph himself into a monster. An hour later, they were released out into the jungle left to fend for themselves until they made it to the city.
Cole stood there for a moment unwrapping the cloth off of his hands before continuing on. Just in case. He was a little scared. He walked into the jungle.
Ani saw a boy unwrapping a cloth from his hands, why? She walked over to him, he must have some power that would be killer. She would stick with him; his good side would be a nice choice. "Hi.. I'm Ani." She said quietly to him.
Ayden looked around at the hundreds of others that had been released along with him. There were a few that he recognised; but he didn't want anything to do with any of them. He could feel himself getting hungrier by the minute, and with that hunger, came the beast. He started towards the jungle, ready to hunt. The truth was, Ayden hated hunting. He hated the fact that the only way to keep the beast at bay was to feed it. "Feed the beast, keep it at bay.." he mumbled to himself, over and over again. "Feed the beast, keep it at bay.Feed the beast, keep it at bay.." The chanting may have been odd, but it kept him sane.
Cole turned towards the girl named Ani, "hi..." Cole stammered, he wasn't expecting anyone to get friendly. "Nice to-uh meet you. Cole, that's my name." Cole smiled nicely.
Ain smiled, she closed her eyes using her powers to make Cole like her, she needed a friend who would be strong enough to protect her from whatever was in the jungle. "Mind if I stick with you?" She asked though she already knew the answer. She inspected him carefully, he looked strong enough, plus whatever power he had was important enough to be contained. She started to walk into the jungle, though waited for him to take the lead.
Cole didn't trust Ani, then thoughts jumped into his head. Maybe she could be trusted. Maybe we'll get along, or she might be a good fighter. Those kinds of thoughts popped up. Foriegn thoughts. Cole was alway mentally organized. He still kept his poker face. "Sure..." He said cautiously.
"Great! I'm Ani." Then she started into the jungle. It worked, she had a friend. Even if it was a fake one. He didn't know that though, and in time... Maybe he would become a real friend? Not that it really mattered. Ani did feel the slightest bit bad for it though... Very slight.
Cole followed Ani and walked ahead of her. Inside his head he raced through his options. Finally he said, "so, what's your power?"
Ani smiled, a fake smile, "I can make animals nice, and tame. And I can also make plants grow or die. Very useful for food." She didn't stop walking as she asked, "what about you? What's your power?"
"Eh," Cole shruggged, "I can make things explode by touch."
