Aiden bit his bottom lip taking a deep breath. "You smell nice." he whispered before he thought it through. "I mean that was supposed to stay in my head." The petite boy shook his head and walked swiftly around Ash ducking out of the bathroom and into Ash's room. Heat surfaced in Aiden's face and made him red. He couldn't believe that just happened. For a split second he had wanted to lean forward and just kiss Ash. But that was absurd for Aiden knew nothing about kissing. He had never kissed anyone willingly before or at all as far as he could remember right now.
Ash was still kneeling on the bathroom floor, a little dazed. What just happened? He gulped, unable to sort out his thoughts; this was crazy. Eventually he stood up, his brow furrowing as he headed back toward his room. "Alright, so, um..." He sighed, unable to look at Aiden as he went through his closet for clothes that might fit the tiny boy.
Aiden was sitting on the bed wrapped in a towel when Ash came in. He tried not to look shy or nervous which was close to impossible. When he saw Ash going through his clothes he bit his lip. "Ooooo, can I wear that?" he asked Ash when he saw a soft looking black hoodie that would be a little oversized on him. He didn't care what else he wore. All Aiden knew was he liked the look of the black hoodie he saw.
Ash glanced back at Aiden to figure out what he was asking about. "This?" He held up his hoodie, looking it over. Wouldn't it be a little big..? He tossed it over to Aiden anyway. "Go for it." He found a longsleeved black and red striped shirt and some dark skinny jeans, and brought them over. "Here, try those. Those are pretty much the smallest things I have so far." Hopefully they would work. "I'll leave you alone to change, okay?" he said, starting for the door.
Aiden couldn't help but smile when he saw the clothes Ash picked out. "Okay. Thank you so much." his tone inquired that he really liked the clothes. Once Ash was out of the room Aiden pulled on the shirt and jeans. The jeans fit a little baggy but not so they fell off. And all Aiden really needed to do with the shirt was roll the sleeves up. The hoodie was fractionally bigger but not so he couldn't wear it. The black fabric went over his butt which made it look cute. The clothes made Aiden look adorable because from anyone looking from the outside that didn't know Aiden they'd probably think he was dressed in his boyfriend's cloths. Once he was all dressed he bit his lip and slowly walked out wondering if Ash had checked out the damage of the house.
Ash gritted his teeth as he surveyed the extent of the damage to his house. "Seriously..." he muttered with an irritated sigh. A few holes in the walls, scratches all over the door... Even the table was broken and lying on it's side. "Do those people not know how to walk through a door without destroying everything in their path?" He slumped into ne of the two chairs that had survived, running a and through his hair. He let out s few curses under his breath, not even noticing that Aiden was there.
Aiden heard Ash's words and started to tremble. He didn't was Ash to be upset. He slowly walked up to Ash and wrapped his hands around his neck from behind. "I'm sorry..." he whispered laying his head on Ash's shoulder with his face in his neck. "This is all my fault." Aiden wasn't sure if he was doing this comforting right. "Let me know if you're umcomfortable... I saw this on a movie once. It seemed to make the person feel better." he whispered shyly.
Ash had to smile at Aiden's effort; he really was trying. "It's okay," he murmured, bringing one hand up to Aiden's hair. "It's not your fault. And you're doing a very good job. I feel better already." He could feel the boy's soft breaths against his skin, and he felt a blush beginning in his face as he brought his other hand up to Aiden's reassuringly. "Thank you."
Aiden giggled quietly when seeing Ash's face turn a different shade. He enjoyed the red. "Good." Aiden said and purred when feeling Ash's hand in his hair and on his hand. His fluffy black tail wiggled in the jeans he had on. "I'll help you clean if you want. It really is my fault. I lead them here." Aiden's ears went down as his hair turned a deep blue with saddness. He knew more spies would come if he didn't leave soon but he didn't want to leave Ash. Ash made him feel safe for once in his life.
"But you didn't mean to lead anyone here," Ash argued gently, blinking at Aiden's new hair colour. Blue? What did that mean? He wasn't upset, was he? "Besides, there's not a whole lot to clean up... I'll just have to get a new dining table and chairs... patch up the wall... repaint the door..." Okay, so there was kind of a lot. "Do you know how to do any of those things?" Ash wouldn't be very surprised if Aiden was totally clueless about all those things.
Aiden's hair got a deeper and deeper blue as Ash continued talking. He slowly withdrew his arms from aroun Ash's neck with tears in his eyes. "No..." he whispered feeling ignorant. Ash probably didn't mean to make Aiden feel insignificant but that's how Aiden took Ash's comments and question.
"Aiden..." Ash quickly stood and wrapped his arms around Aiden carefully, just holding him close. So blue meant sad. He'd have to remember that. "Aiden, it's okay..." he assured in a soft murmur. "Please don't be upset, okay? Please? It's okay..." Aiden was so small in Ash's arms. Easy to hold. And it was nice.
Aiden's eyes grew wide when he saw Ash getting up and coming towards him. He tensed at first, his intincts telling him Ash was going to hit him. Then arms came around Aiden and he instantly relaxed. "O-Okay." he whispered laying his head on Ash's chest while his arms went around Ash's waist hesitantly. It felt nice to be held. "Are we leaving? Or do you want me to leave now..." Aiden questioned not looking up at Ash still in fear that he might be hit if it was a stupid question.
Ash took a deep breath, releived that Aiden didn't seem very sad anymore. Thank goodness. "Well, I'll have to change first," he said with a little laugh. "I can't go to the store in pajamas. I mean I could, but... Those aren't too flattering. " He pulled away slightly, brushing some stray hair out of Aiden's face. Adorable. "So I'll get dressed really fast, and then we can go. You're okay with cars, right?" Some cats he knew got carsick easily.
Aiden's hair went to a light blue until it changed back to black. "I think your pajamas are really cute." he said without thinking first. "Oh I mean um..." Aiden's hair suddenly changed to a bright electric pink in the blink of an eyes from embarrassment and his face went red. Aiden got a glance of the stray hair that Ash swept away. "It's n-never b-been that color b-before." he stammered nervously. Then Aiden tilted his head almost forgetting about his embarrassment. "Car? Is that those things I see going down roads?" his voice dripped with naivety as his pink ears twiched. He had never been inside a car before. He couldn't afford them and he didn't know anyone that had one. Everyone he knew including him always ran places.
"Wha... Oh..." Ash couldn't help his own blush as he turned his eyes away. Aidne's hair had never turned that colour before? And he was blushing? What did that mean? "Um... Thank you?" Ash really wasn't sure how to reply to that. His mind was a little blank now as he forced himself to look back at Aiden's too-innocent face. "Ah, yeah. That's a car." He swallowed, still slightly pink as he pulled away. "I'm going to... go get dressed now..." he said, starting off toward his room.
Aiden focused on his emotions forcing his hair back to black. It was so easy to just feel around Ash which caused his hair to switch colours often. "Okay. I'll be here." he murmured in a small voice looking away from Ash and out the window. While Ash was gone Aiden surveyed the area he was in finally seeing the real damage. His ears went down in shame and he frowned looking at the floor.
Ash came out a few minutes later in a black t-shirt, dark jeans, and a denim jacket. His brow furrowed when he saw Aiden looking so upset again. What could it be this time? "Aiden?" He ran a hand through his hair and sighed, gently taking Aiden's hand. Hopefully he wouldn't mind. "Aiden, are you ready to go? If you are, then let's go, okay?"
Aiden immediately looked up at his name seeing Ash. His ears perked up trying to hide his guilt. He still blamed himself for the mess but tried to not think about it. "Yes let's go." he said quietly lacing his fingers with Ash's like it was the most natural thing in the world. It didn't take long for Aiden to forget about the house. That was another one of his cat features; his attention span wasn't the greatest.
"Alrighty then." Ash managed a small smile before he thought of something, and paused. Those ears... Well, Aiden could just use the hood, right? Ash sighed; how did he not think of that before? At least the tail wasn't showing... He shook his head, leading Aiden out the door and to the passenger side of his black convertible. "Go ahead and get in," he said, already walking around to the driver's side.
