"Okay. I-If you're sure." Aiden whispered still staring up at Ash. "I'm sorry I made you miss school. I didn't realize you were so young." Aiden stood up as he spoke feeling bad for making the other male miss school. "I haven't been in public in..."Aiden shook his head honestly not able to remember. People scared him so he tried to stay in isolated areas where people couldn't find him. He was used to be alone so he wasn't sure how to be in a store. "Will people hurt me?" he asked Ash with an expression that screamed innocence.
Ash shook his head, wishing Aiden was joking about being hurt. "No, I won't let anyone hurt you," he assured, his hand finding Aiden's. "Don't worry." Was hurt all Aiden knew? didn't he know what happiness was? Joy? Love? Ash gave a little laugh. "Didn't realise... I was young..? How old do you think I am, forty?" Seriously... "How old are you, anyway? Sixteen, maybe..?"
A small smile quirked up on Aiden's lips at Ash's question about age. He shook his head and hesitantly laced his slender fingers with Ash's. "Sorry. I just thought you were out of school." Aiden paused confused by the guess on his age. He had no idea how old he looked. "I'm twenty years old." Aiden said quietly looking down at their linked hands. "If nobody will h-hurt me then I'll l-leave with you." he agreed as he played with Ash's fingers in an unsure way.
"Twenty?" Ash stammered in total disbelief. How on earth could this tiny, petite, adorable boy be that old already? The naivete, Ash could understand. Aiden had been treated like a pet his whole life; of course he wouldn't understand things of the outside world. But the appearance... "Wow. You look a lot younger than twenty." He watched Aiden play with his fingers, smiling at the way it felt. "Well, before we leave, you should get washed up, okay? Do you want to take a shower?" Or did he hate water, like most cats?
Aiden saw how stunned Ash was and nodded. He didn't understand that he didn't look much older than sixteen maybe. "Yes twenty." he confirmed as he put Ash's hand to his cheek and nuzzled it like an animal, purring. "Shower...." Aiden tried out the word not knowing the meaning. He was used to baths that Vaughn would give him when he was good. But he connected the word clean and shower and his ears perked up. "Oh you mean like a bath? I would really love one if it isn't much trouble. I can't remember my last bath." he purred quietly thinking of the warm water and how it felt on his fur as a kitten. "But I... I..." Aiden bit his bottom lip wincing at a memory. He wasn't embarrassed because he thought the next thing he said was completely normal. "You'll wash me right?" Aiden didn't realize Ash might take his question as washing Aiden while being a human. Aiden meant he'd change to a kitten and Ash would clean him. Aiden didn't even know how to clean his human body. It all became clean once Vaughn would wash his fluffy fur in a wooden tub outside the tents at the circus. That was one of the only good memories Aiden had of his past.
Ash blinked. "W-wash you..?" Surely Aiden wasn't serious... Ash. Washing a boy. A very, very, very cute boy. The thought made him blush slightly, and his smile became rather nervous. "Um... I guess I can..." he said, a hint of embarrassment leaking into his voice. He stood up, running a hand through his hair, and held out a hand toward Aiden. "I don't know if I'll do a very good job, but I can try..." Oh, Lord.
Aiden looked at Ash's hand like it was foreign. 'Odd boy.' he thought to himself which was ironic because Aiden was the one that was odd. Instead of taking Ash's hand he shifted into a fluffy black kitten. The small animal looked up at Ash, meowed, and then trotted down the hall towards the bathroom. Once there he hopped into the tub and laid on his back with his paws in the air. It was absolutely adorable. Aiden was feeling rather safe and happy for the time being. Not to mention excited about getting a bath.
Interesting story would you mind if me and you chat later sometime because I would love to get to read more of this story. It has a certain spicy ingredient to it. ;) This could possibly be a seller.
Um sure. I actually haven't written it all yet. I have it in my mind but I haven't written the book. Would love to chat sometime about it though. :)
It took Ash a moment before he finally understood. So he wouldn't have to give a boy a bath. Just a cat. He let out a long breath as he walked over to the bathroom, relief flooding through him. No awkward moments then. Thank goodness. "Oh, okay," he murmured, smirking down at Aiden in the tub. "I've never met a cat that likes water..." Kneeling beside the tub, he turned the knob and out ran the water, already warm. "Come see if this is warm enough?"
'I love water. I can't remember the last time I had a bath.' Aiden thought to Ash knowing he'd hear it. He then went up to running water and felt the warmth. The small kitten purred and walked under the water purring loudly with closed eyes. The water soaked him making him look even thinner now and bony. It looked quite sad.
Ash felt his smile falter as he watched Aiden, but he tried to keep it on his face. Was Aiden really that skinny? When was the last time he'd eaten anything, besides the cereal earlier? Sighing, he forced himself to focus on the present. "Well... What scent of soap do you like? We can pick that up at the store too. Right now, I have... I don't even know what it smells like..." He shrugged, nodding to the shampoo sitting on the edge of the tub. "It's Axe, so you'll end up smelling pretty... guyish."
The kitten wrinkled his nose at the bottle. 'I guess it will do. I really like strawberries.' Aiden thought to Ash with a meow as he rolled around in the puddle of water forming around hm since he'd been stopping up the drain. Aiden loved the smell of strawberries but he hadn't been able to in such a long time.
Ash had to laugh lightly as he watched Aiden play around in the water. "Alright then," he said, pouring a tiny amount of the shampoo into his palm. "We can get you some when we go shopping." He lathered the shampoo between his hands till it formed bubbles, and carefully began rubbing it into Aiden's fur, trying to be as gentle about it as possible.
Aiden closed his eyes and stood up so it would be easier for Ash to wash him. He purred quietly with closed eyes and winced every so often when the weak or painful spots were touched. He knew Ash was trying to be gentle though and he appreciated it. 'Thank you so much.' he thought to Ash during his bath.
Ash noticed Aiden wincing a few times and attempted to be even softer, if that was even possible. Soon he was finished, and he rinsed his hands off in the the still running water. "Okay, you should be all clean and stuff now, after you rinse," Ash said with a small sigh. Hopefully there wouldn't be too much cat fur in the tub...
Aiden saw Ash's sigh and flinched. He hoped he hadn't made the other male mad. When the bath was over and he'd rinced himself off Aiden jumped out onto the little rug Ash had on the tiled floor and shook his fur out. It made him look cute with his black fur all messy and sticking out. The ribs that showed on him made it a little less cute though. 'Thank you again. I hope it wasn't any trouble. I could have went without a bath.' Aiden thought as he peered up with nervous green hues.
Ash shook his head, grabbing a handtowel off the rack and carefully drying Aiden off with it. "Really, it's fine. No big deal." He shrugged and gave a little laugh; Aiden's fur was so messed up, it was crazy. So cute, Especially with those big green eyes... He quickly shook his head, trying not to think like that. It wasn't like he liked Aiden or anything... Right?
Aiden felt the towel on his body and shifted back to his human form. He looked better now with no dirt or grime on his skin. There were tiny freckles if you looked very close on his cheeks. "Okay thank you again." he said wrapping the towel around his body.
Aiden tried not to look too nervous around Ash. He felt this odd sensation in his stomach that he didn't understand. It was butterflies. As he tried to walk back to Ash's bedroom he tripped over the bathroom rug and fell into Ash. "Oh my goddess I am so sorry!" Aiden exclaimed looking up into Ash's eyes with a scared expression. He was gripping onto Ash's biseps hoping he wasn't mad.
Ash automatically caught Aiden as he fell, and now wasn't so sure that had been a very good idea. Because now Aiden was pretty freaking close, and Ash could feel a slight blush forming on his face.
"Uh... No, no, it's okay..." Ash could feel his heart fluttering in his chest like some insane butterfly on a sugar rush. "Just an accident, that's all," he reassured, forcing a small smile. "You okay?"
