Sometimes…we just need to accept that it's magic.
There are many worlds and people that exist along side us. However, since we humans find comfort in the idea we are the only intelligent species out there…we choose not to go looking for them.
But what if I told you there are societies much like our own living in our very own bedrooms?
Living in these societies are the Latent people. The live all across the globe and are so small you would require a magnifying glass to see just a hint of them.
In the city of Chicago, in the apartment of a small family, in the bedroom of a little girl, and in the corner of her white bookshelf behind a bright picture frame…there lives the small town of "Parva".
Parva is not admired for its isolation from the other miniature societies. It is not admired for its size or contents. In fact, Parva is only known for its education. "Parva Boarding School" is where the Latent people send their misbehaving teens.
Routine, discipline, and structure is what Parva wishes to instil into these troublesome teens leaving no room for creativity, fun or even adventure. This school is meant to shape free thinkers into what is necessary for the Latent society. But some teens will be harder to change than others. Some teens will be just enough of a challenge to keep within the building.
So there you have it. If you wish to participate in this role-play leave the standard skellie with Name, Gender, Age, Appearance, Personality and Bio.
Also, you don't need to be just a Latent teen. Some of these Parva teachers have some serious scandals as well. :)

Name: Samantha Trinity
Gender: Girl
Age: 15
Appearance: Blonde hair, blue eyes and just a hint of freckles. Always ties her hair back with the small reminents of a red ribbon she found one day. Small for a Latent teen but what she lacks in height she makes up in her big world attitude.
Personality: Samantha is very adventerous. She hates being cooped up in the same place and unlike her family, she is never easily intimidated by things that are so much bigger than her. She wants to go out and see things in the world. She can never pass up a dare or a chance to go on a great adventure.
Bio: ‚Äč She group up with just her mom and her older brother. Both are very over protective and extremely cautious. Her father died in an accident when one of the giants stepped on him. She was too young to remember but her mom and her brother remember all too well. He had the same adventurous spirit that she group up to have and thus her mother and brother found all the more reason to keep her safe. After finding out she'd been sneaking out to the Giant's roof every night to look at the stars...her mother sent her off to Parva.

Name: Austin Rainley
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Appearance: Austin has dark browns hair which hangs in his eyes and covers his ears. He has olive colored skin and brown eyes. He is average height for a Latent. He wears fairly average clothes and has nothing particularly distinguishing about him except his broad, toothy smile which he cockily flashes at nearly everyone he meets .
Personality: Austin is really cocky, he shows off all the time and likes to talk back to teachers and get in trouble just so he is known as a trouble maker. Austin certainly has a knack for trouble and is nearly always doing really stupid things and getting caught. He has a lot of spirit and is quiet impulsive, doing whatever he feels like without thinking things through. Despite his apparent stupidity, and crazy impulsiveness, Austin is really smart. He knows tons of stuff and is very opinionated, correcting teachers and arguing over nearly anything he can get someone to argue about. Austin in brilliant, cocky, and knows how to cause trouble.
Biography: Austin was the youngest of six in his family so his parents never paid much attention to him. He pretty much had the run of the neighborhood, his parents were too busy with his brothers and sister to really discipline him, so he did what he felt like. Whenever he was caught doing something he shouldn't, he would pout up at his parents, his big brown eyes filling with tears and they would let him off with a small reprimand. This continued with him doing more and more daring and dangerous things until finally when he was 10 and 'accidentally' blew up the family's garage his parents saw that it had gone to far and he needed special help which they couldn't provide so they sent him to Parva.

Name: Kit Petite
Nickname: Kitty
Reason for nickname- Her name is very close to it, and she has the eyes of a cat. She also has a fascination with cats, much like the one that lives in the house.

Age: 16

Kit has eyes as green and glowing as a cat with stunning bright red curly hair. She stands at only 5' 4" with a very athletic build. She has creamy white skin to off set her wild eyes and hair. She leads a very healthy lifestyle, this being clear in her body.

Character's Favorites:
Color: Black and grey. Though she says its red.
Music: Depends on her mood. One day hard rock, the next classics.
Literature: Romance
Leisure activity: Writing

She lead a slightly off childhood. Her mother passed at a young age and her father was a teacher, so at her passing she was sent to live with him in the school he worked. Her first full memory is of the train ride to see him, though she vaguely remembers her mother she still has bits of memories about her, though its isn't much. Kit grew up in the school with rebels, though she joined them often she was always the good kid.

Past/Secrets on the character/ Secrets that could be important in the future: TBD

Character's Family:
Mother: passed when she was only seven.
Father: Was recently upgraded to become the dean of students at the school. Kit has a very simple relationship with him, he wants to be a part of her life but never found out how.
Cousin: Fay is a close cousin that Kit often writes to.... Hope none of those letters ever get found...

Kit's general mood type is quite cheerful, on the outside at least. On the inside she is broken. Kit is most at ease when she is alone, writing. She is very ill at ease when she is with several people, social anxiety some would call it. Kit's philosophy is this: No second chances. Weather this be for herself at tasks she wants to achieve or towards others.

Kit's greatest source of strength in the character's personality is that she truly wants the best for others. This is also her greatest source of weakness. She hads a extreme soft spot for romance, though she keeps that well hidden. She hides that by acting heartless. In her dorm on the door to enter in black letters is this 'Beware of Heartless Girl' Then on the inside if her room on the grey wall is written this: I'm not heartless, I've just learned to use my heart less.

Character Traits:
Kit is neither a optimist or pessimist. She tries to see the good in others but often doubts it or fails to find it. Kit is truly a Introvert though she does well as putting off a act as a extrovert. Het drives and motivations are simply, to make herself happy. She had no one else to please. Kit is extremely skilled at convincing others to her wishes and lying. Though she is extremely unskilled at having a true friend that she can always trust.

One word Kit would use do describe herself would be different. One paragraph description of how kit would describe herself would be the following. "I'm my own person. I don't let others tell me who to be or how to be it. I'm a good kid but that doesn't mean I can't have fun. I might not be your favorite girl, but you will never forget me. How Kit thinks others perceive her is cheerful and happy, though if you stick around her you will soon learn of her dark sadness.

Interrelation with others:
Kit relates to others by lying. She changes who she acts like she is so everyone loves her. How is Kit perceived by strangers changes greatly. Other students see her as she wants them to. It all being a total lie.

General Information:
Kit's favorite clothing is anything dark or leather. She normally has on bright cheerful things.
Kit's least favorite clothing is anything bright. Why? It's too.... Happy.
She has a small gold locket that belonged to her mother, though its never been opened, she couldn't figure out how. It is truly her most prized possession.

Kit secretly admires the rebels, she wishes she could be more like them. They have freedom and adventures, much like she'd like to. Kit is most influenced by the other students. They are who she strives to conform with and fit in to.

Plot Devices:
She spent the week before the story starts alone in her room. When she made a apprentice she was cheerful and bright. Through it's only a act. The perfect ending to this RP for Kit would be for her to learn to be herself, her happy self. The conflict in Kit's life that she should overcome before the end of this RP would be to stop lying to others about who she really is. Life changing decisions that Kit may encounter along the way would be meeting a real cat. That would be interesting.

((Yeah mine seems inadequate now. Im going to add to him! And now he isn't really like my friend at all. haha :)  ))
Guilty pleasure: Austin loves reading, science fiction especially beacuse it makes him think and question reality and human relationships and how the wolrd operates. He wouldn't want anyone to find this out though because he has to keep up the 'reble cool guy' image in which there is no room for brains.
Relationship with others: Austin really does his best to always seem chill, relaxed, cool around others, his slightly lopsided toothy smile helps keep that image up. Austin never really bullies people, but he isn't exactly nice to people who don't look up to him. Austin is not the type of person people respect, he is more the person they all look up to though they would never want to be him as brainless as he always seems to be.
Life at school: Austin gets really good grades in school though he always lies and says he is failing. The teachers never seem to know what to do with him. He gets great grades on tests though he says he never studies and in class he is usually obnoxious and talkbackish, never seeming to care about learning. He is constantly being called out for 'inappropriate conduct' and when he is called on in class he pretends not to know the answer though secretly he knows the answer to every single question. His boredom in class is not fake, he already knows pretty much all that is being taught so he pretends not to and like he doesn't care.

So sorry for the super late response but I literally just got home from this family thing and I was itching to do some teenink the whole time rofl xD If we could each do one more (preferably one of the opposite gender from our last character so it evens out :P) then yes I think we'll be perfect to start! ))

Name: Piper Restley
Gender: Female
Age: 13
Appearance: Piper is somewhat short and fairly skinny. She has light brown skin and short curled black hair which she wears lose in a small afro or held back with a hair band. She has pretty brown eyes and has to wear colorful rubber band braces. She wears skinny jeans and tank tops most of the time with minimal make-up and small gold earrings.
Personality: Piper is somewhat shy. She tends to prefer to listen and watch people than actually interacting and communicating with them. She loves trying to deduce things about people and figure them out before they can figure her out. Piper has a small group of friends she hangs out with and is not usually very adventurous in meeting new people. She is friendly though, and usually has a smile on her face and a small bounce in her step. Generally Piper is just a happy girl though maybe not 'popular' or outgoing, she is fairly happy with her life.
Biography: Piper had a normal childhood, exploring, digging in the mud, pretending to the captain of a pirate ship but when she turned 6, society required she give up her fairy tale world for reality. The Latent society allowed children to explore the world of dreams just long enough for them to know, when they had to give it up, that there was really not much to miss. But when Piper turned 6, it didn't stop. If anything as she grew up, her imagination grew more and more complex. This troubled her very traditional mother who eventually decided that Piper needed to be sent away. Still Piper's spirit grew as did her imagination and brain.
Hobbies and Interests: Piper likes reading and learning. She knows that knowledge is power and believes full heartedly that to be anything you have to be able to think. She also loves exploring and investigating which is why she ended up in Parva. She is very good at sneaking around without being seen and never gets caught. Detective stories and police investigations fascinate her. She is always trying to figure out things for herself. Piper makes up mysteries and cases for herself which usually end up leading her places she would never have known existed.
Family: Piper has an 8 year old younger brother and two loving parents who though they may not always understand her, love Piper and want the best for her. Piper's father is a Latent scientist. Like Piper he always asks questions, 'why', 'how', 'when'. He is actually a graduate of Parva, he was sent there when he was about 10 years old, it was supposed to squash the curiosity out of him, but the school only succeeded in turning his match light of ambition into a roaring fire of wonder. Piper's mother on the other hand is very down to earth, so to speak. She is a tax collector and has never had a question to ask besides the occasional demanding question of 'why haven't you paid? It was due three months ago!'. Piper's mother could never understand her daughter's curiosity and fascination with things. This is why when Piper turned 12, her mother had her shipped off to Parva to train the girl's imagination to stay where it is supposed to be, locked up under bolt and key in a room with no windows or light. But that is exactly where Piper's imagination wanted to be, in a sticky situation wondering how to get out.
Thoughts and Feelings: Piper thinks everything is a challenge. She thinks everything, everyone needs to be 'solved' and to do that, you have to have brains and knowledge. She doesn't really care about what people think of her, because no one ever does think of her, she hides away and watches. Piper is smart and crafty, she learns as she goes and is always looking for ways to better herself. Piper is always happy because she always has something to be happy about. What will her new puzzle be? Will she solve it? And what will she learn?
