Name: Hantag Sarlocht
Race/Species: Spectral Sentinel
Appearance: Hantag is of an athletic build. He has a large head and unusually long legs. He is made of what appears to be a translucent, pale magenta light; that make the skin tingle at the slightest touch. He has notched, fluorescent, rectangular markings that band around his joints. He has another of these markings that starts in the center of his forehead, expands down the back of his head, and bands around his neck. He wears bracers of frozen gold that are encrusted with small black rubies, which sparkle under moonlight.
Personality: Hantag is a very solemn character, and as such very rarely shares his true emotions. This is mainly because after spending most of his life without a physical form, he struggles to truly express how he feels. Hantag prefers to evaluate, then eliminate a threat, rather than sneak past unnoticed. This often makes him appear violent.
1.Intangibility. When Hantag uses this ability he enters a ghost like state, becoming almost invisible to the naked eye, and phasing through any object he comes into contact with. He can stay like this for as long as he likes, but the amount of time he stays intangible is equal to the amount of time it will take to revert back.
2.Levitation. Hantag can hover up to approximately 1 meter above any surface; whether it be solid or liquid. He can use this on vertical surfaces as well as horizontal ones, allowing him to scale obstacles with ease.
3.Spectral blasts. Focusing some of his energy into a single blast allows Hantag to create a ripple through the fabric of space; sending his enemies flying.
Background Information: Hantag was once a member of the spectral council, a group of entities that monitor the activities of mortals, and maintain the balance of order and chaos. They are not allowed to interfere with the issues of mortals, and so when he saved a woman from being killed in a riot, the council bound him to a set of cursed shackles (his bracers), and banished him to the physical world.
((Is everyone ready to start?))
((Can I still join?? I wont be able to make a skellie right away and might not be able to be on much until tomorrow (I have a ton of homework). I promise I will be dedicated starting on the weekend at least. And after that I don't have school for a week so I can be on a lot then. Im really sorry for this, but if you are still willing to include me this sounds really epic and I would love to join!!! ))
Hantag couldn't sleep, try as he might he just could not reach a point of relaxation where he could drift off. He and his fellow travelers had stopped to rest for the night in a large cave, it was a warm night, and despite the cave floor being hard, it wasn't particularly uncomfortable; especially after they had matted out certain areas with cotton plant and leaves. Some of them even had hammocks they had hund on parts of the cave that jutted out. But despite all this, Hantag couldn't sleep; something just felt..wrong. He looked around the cave at his companions, all asleep. He decided that he was just being paranoid, but all the same, he was up now. May as well stand watch at the entrace. He hovered over, sat down, and rested his back against the rock wall.
((Keesh you can join, just say when your ready and we'll write you in.))
Rai sat along the ground. He woke up and walked outside. He looked at the sky and missed Earth, he missed being raised with the humans which he wasn't one.
Sera jolted awake and peered around the cave groggily before she found the source of what had woken her. She wasn't even sure if Hantag really slept at this point, if he even needed sleep like the rest of them. Sera sat up and glanced at the dying fire, reaching out with her claws. There was a crackle, and the fire started up again, bathing the cave in warm and muted light. Sera stood up and joined Hantag at the cave's entrance. "You hear that?" She asked him, head tilted to the side. "We're alone. Entirely alone." As far as she could tell, they were the only ones around here for miles.
((Thank you so much!! Ill try to write up a skellie soon.))
"Perhaps we are" he responded, not breaking his line of sight. "Or perhaps we are not. Nevertheless I would like to stand watch a little longer. Just to be safe." At the point he turned his head to look at her. "I apologise for waking you" he said, attempting a smile and quickly regaining his line of sight on the landscape.
Kol silently stayed in the shadows. Night was his time, his day. When the world was ark, he felt his strongest, his best. He couldn't understand why people would want to sleep an miss the cool dark of night. He slid forward, absolutely silent.
Iggy watched her companions from behind heavy eyelids. She was a day person. How they all managed to go without a full nights rest was beyond her. But, she unvolantarily was beginning to wake up herself.
Kol faded into shadow for a moment, dissolving out of view as he meshed with the shadow of the cave. He shimmered back into sight after a few moments, several feet away from where he started. He glanced at the entrance to the cave entrance, pulling his scarf tighter around his neck.
Iggy smiled as she illused a mermaids alluring voice coming from the dark back of the gave. She loved playing tricks with her power, this one imparticular. It was her favorite.
Kol heard soft singing and immediately backed away. He slid back into shadow, going back the way he came. Singing meant people. He didn't like being around people.
Iggy illused again, but this time she made her own laughter come from the roof of the cave.
Hantag whirled around at the sound of an unknown voice, only to be met by..nothing. How unusual, he thought to himself. Then he noticed the pixie girl, Iggy, smiling to herself. He slowly returned to position. "I would sincerely appreciate it if you refrained from making so much noise Iggy. Any others in the vicinity may be alerted to our presence." he said, irritatedly. At that point he saw a movement in the grove outside of the cave. He stood up and took an offensive stance. "Reveal yourself, before I am forced to take action." he demanded.
Kol stepped forward instantly, pulling out of the shadow. He tugged nervously at his scarf before silently holding up his empty hands.
Iggy stopped her laugh short and sat up, her eyes wide and apprehensive as she listened for any sound that might be alarming.
