"I guess I can relate." Rai chuckled, "my family arranged a marriage with a girl I didn't even know. She was arrogant and naive."

"Seeming you speak of it as being past tense, I take it you did not marry the girl?" Violet asks picking up a dark blue charm and a bright yellow one.

"Well, there was a point when I was slightly interested in her. Turns out it didn't work out." Rai smiled painfully.

"I'm sorry." Violet says and walks over to a small shelf, picking up some candles.

"It's okay, that was quite some time ago." He dismissed it and looked at some other merchandise.

Violet goes over and pays for the stuff, "I'll come back and pick it up on my way home." she tells Hazel.
Hazel already knew she would leave it here like she did every other time. "Of course, dear." she says and takes the stuff into the back.
Violet walks over to Rai, "Would you like to walk around with me for a while?"

"Sure," Rai said. He plucked a charm and examined it. "This looks nice." Rai paid for the charm and put it in his pocket.

Violet smiled and waited as he paid for a charm before saying a quick goodbye to Hazel and walking out of the shop.

Rai walked out of the shop, he looked over at Violet, "so where to?"

"I usually go and sit at the lake for a while, we could go somewhere else if you would like though."

"We can go anywhere. I'm fine, I have time." Rai chuckled. "The lake sounds nice though."

Violet smiled brightly, "Okay." She walked around the back of the little shop to a small path that led to the lake.

Rai followed Violet, he quietly strolled alongside Violet.

Violet pulled up her skirt a bit so it wasn't dragging in the dirt, "So, tell me a little about yourself so that I don't feel like I'm walking around with a stranger." she says laughing a bit.

Rai chuckled, "it's kind of tragic..." He smiled painfully. "I was young when my parents died. Along with my parents died my spouse to be. When the other family heard they thought that I had killed my family and their daughter so they captured me and tried to kill me. Luckily I escaped."

Violet winced, "And I thought I had it bad..." she mutters, turning off the pathway, taking a different route.

"Eh, it's okay... I try not to dwell on it." He smiled and walked onto the lake and sat on a bench. The early morning sun was reflection off of the water. "That's a nice view."

Violet smiles and sits down next to him, "That it is." she agreed. "No one ever comes here anymore so it's quite peaceful. This place holds alot of memories for me."

"In other words it's a sanctuary..." Rai closed his eyes and felt the low breeze coming from the lake. "The air is fresher here."
