"It's not safe for anyone to be on the streets at night," Rai said, "that's what I meant."
"I'm not someone who worries about safety... I've been going for walks at this time for a few years."
"Oh," Rai said, "then that's okay... I guess." Rai turned away and walked off, "well then, see ya."
"O-okay. Have a good night." Violet says before turning and climbing up the thick vines that had grown up the side of the house. She reached her balcony and hopped over the ledge, going back into her room and shutting the glass doors behind her, pulling the curtains shut.
Rai walked off into an alleyway. He turned right, then left. After a few more blocks he entered his warehouse where he lived. He opened the door and locked it when he entered his house. Rai sat on his workbench and started building his project.
Violet changed into a nightgown before crawling into bed and falling asleep.
It was morning, Rai was still working on his contraption. Soon he was going to leave to get some food. He might not have been able to die, but starvation still existed for him.
Violet was woken up in the morning by her mother's persistent knocking on her bedroom door. She got out of bed and walked bare foot across the cold floor to open her door. "Yes, mother?"
"Good heavens, Violet! Get dressed, we are having company over and you knew that. They will arrive shortly. Hurry, child." her mother said before turning and walking down the hall.
Violet closed her door, "Hurry, child." she mimics, going over to her closet and grabbing a grey dress with a partially full skirt and a beige waist cincher (hope you know what that is lol). She gets changed and brushes the tangles out of her hair.
(I have no clue)
Rai stepped out and went to the local pub. He ordered some alchohol along with some other food.
((It's like an underbust corset but it ends just above the bellybutton instead of the hips... Horrible explanation lol!))
Once Violet was ready she went onto her balcony and hopped over the ledge like she had done the night before and slid to the ground. She didn't want to be there when their guests arrived, it was another one of her parents attempts at having her courted. She ran through the garden and out the gate, walking into town.
For some unkown reason Rai found himself in the central shopping plaza. He stood there in the center deciding what he was going to do next.
Violet went to see the local apothecary, her name was Hazel and she was an older woman that Violet got along with really well. She stepped into the small shop, not only did Hazel prepare and sell medicines, she also had all sorts of charms that Violet loved, she had a whole collection in her jewelry box at home. "Good morning, Hazel." she smiles as she passes her and goes over to the charms.
"Good morning, Violet." Hazel replied, glancing up at Violet before getting back to work.
Not knowing what to do, Rai entered an apothecary's shop. He entered to see Violet shopping, "Oh, it's Violet" ((IS THAT GOOD?))
((Pass through where?))
((The road? Oh wait, nevermind. Read that wrong... I'll go and fix it.))
((That's better :) ))
Violet turns upon hearing her name, setting down a dark green gem. She saw Rai standing by the doorway, "Good morning, Rai." she greets him
"Nice morning to you too." Rai said, "so what are you doing in here?" He looked off to the side and inspected some merchandise.
"Hiding. I always come and visit Hazel when my parents decide to try and force me into marriage. I also really like the charms she makes." Violet replies with a small laugh.
"Really?" Rai walked over to her and looked at the charms, "they ry to force you to marry?"
"Yes, they believe I should have been courted and married by now with children." Violet rolls her eyes. "Yet every man they bring to me is a stuck up, rich, prat..."
