Rai sat down on a bench. He sighed. Apparently he was sighing a lot these days. He leaned his back against the back of the bench and tried to sleep. After a few minutes his eyes opened. He couldn't sleep, he didn't have a choice. One of the so called gifts of his curse. One of the things that Rai wished so much for was to be able to lie in bed again and sleep and dream. He was so tired yet he couldn't sleep.
Once Violet was far enough from her house she put her hood down and shook her hair out of the braid she had had it in. She spotted a figure sitting on a bench just down the street, if she had to guess she would say it was a male as not alot of women would dare leave their houses this late.
Rai noticed a girl off to the right. Uninterested he closed his eyes. He wanted to make sure no one bothered him.
Violet shoved her hands into her pockets as she neared the stranger. "Good Evening." she says to the man, smiling a bit as she passed him.
Rai sighed before whispering back, "nice evening too." Rai picked out the hint of smile in the girl. Now that he started thinking, why was a girl out in the night?
Violet continued walking, she was near the corner of the street now. Once she turned she had another block to go before she could cut through her back garden and sneak into her bedroom.
Rai sat there for a minute before he reluctantly stood up. He murmured something and followed the girl. He didn't know why but she was like a magnet.
Violet turned the corner and walked the last block before going through the open gate into her garden. She had sensed someone following her and decided to lock the gate for once before putting up her hood and walking off the pathway, heading to where her bedroom balcony is.
Rai saw the girl go into her house and locking the gates before entering her home. Rai stood out there observing the house.
Once Violet was.In her room she remove the coat, putting it in her closet before going to stand on the balcony. She looked out over the yard, hadving an odd feeling, like she was being drawn back outside, back into the garden...
Rai peeked out of the corner trying to look like he wasn't doing anything. He saw the girl lean out her balcony. Hopefully she didn't look over in his direction.
Violet spotted the male that she had passed on the street, she waved him over. She wanted to know who he was and why he had followed her...
Rai froze, reluctantly he walked out of the corner and smiled. "Hey...."
"Hello." Violet replied, pulling her hair back with a piece of black ribbon. "Who are you?" She asks curiously.
"You can call me Rai." He said, "who are you?"
"Violet." she tells him, a small smile playing at the edge of her lips.
"Hmm," Rai thought, "Violet huh? It's nice to meet you, I would shake your hand or something but... I can't exactly get to where you are."
Violet swung over the railing of the balcony and slid down one of the pillars that held it up, letting it go once her feet hit the ground. "Nice to meet you too." she put her hand out for a hand shake.
Rai shook her hand. "So what was a girl like you doing out in the streets in the night?"
"Well taking a walk of course." Violet shrugs a bit. "What do you mean a girl like me?" she asks placing her hands on her hips.
