The song finished just as the alarm on Mel's cellphone started going off. She grabbed it from her bag and looked at the time, "Shoot! I'm late." she jumps up, hiking her bag onto her shoulder.
"Yes!" Ames' epithet came right as Mel jumped up. She'd gottent the perfect idea for the set design. "Sorry," She mumbled and started towards the door. Should she surprise them or should she ask them all to sit for the portraits she'd need to make this thing come alive? Decisions decisions.

Monica took out her ipod and popped in her earbuds. She didn't have anywhere to be for the next hour or so. She went to sit in one of the auditorium chairs and pulled out a book.
Mel jumped off the stage, "Sorry, guys! I have to go!" she runs out of the auditorium and through the hall to the front doors, pushing them open and going out to her car.
Ames stood in the mess of chalk pastel powder that gathered below her as she worked. A multi-medium mural of portraits, that wouldn't be very difficult, right?
She began with the negative space, expertly placing wild dashes of brightly colored pastels around where Mel's outline was.
