Another RP based on a book I'm writing...This is a 1x1, but if other people want to join they could play characters other than the main two...
On the Crown Princess's sixteenth birthday, she comes of age. She's a princess, through and through; beautiful, naive, femenine, and spoiled rotten. She's not exactly stupid, but she is a bit of a pri.ssy di.tz.
Sixteen years before, one of the kingdom's thirteen witches, Ayleth, got a bit tip.sy at her Christening. She was somehow insulted, but no one remembers why. They just remember that she cursed the newborn princess. On her sixteenth birthday, she would pri.ck her finger and die.
Gloriana, another one of the witches, but a nice one, changed the curse. This was quite impressive, as it is extremely difficult to change someone else's curse. Even your own is hard. Impossible after it has happened.
Gloriana was very powerful, but rarely thought things through properly. And she was partial to dramatics. So, instead of dying, the Crown Princess would fall into a deep sleep until she was awoken by her destined true love.
To make sure that Ayleth wouldn't change the curse back, Gloriana bound the evil witch to the curse so that anything that happened to the princess would happen to her, also. She sleeps, Ayleth sleeps. She dies, Ayleth dies.
But the princess isn't too worried. She believes that she's already met her true love. An extremely handsome prince, polite, sweet, and strong.
She doesn't know that he's only courting her because his father is making him because their own province is secretly close to bancruptcy.
So on her birthday, when the sweet-but-misunderstood prince takes her through the gardens and proposes, and she pricks her finger on a rose and falls asleep, he can't wake her. Gloriana hides her away in the mountains where she will be safe, and she watches over her.
Life goes on. The princess's thirteen year old sister, Cedany, gows up and takes her sister's place as Crown Princess. She marries the prince, has children, becomes queen. Centuries go by, and still she sleeps.
Bound by a vow she made to the princess's parents, Gloriana lives on, too, to protect the princess. She lives in a small house near the cave in which she hid the sleeping girl, and spends much of her time traveling around, looking for her destined true love.

He's a thief. A thrill-seeker. A dare-devil. Involved in gangs and other such unpleasantness, he doesn't seem like the destined true love of a princess.
But one day he's searching for an ancient treasure that may or may not actually exist. He's broke, deeply in debt, and desperate.
Drawn by an invisible force, he somehow finds the 'cave', where the princess sleeps in a canopy bed, surrounded by centuries old things. He robs her of a small collection of jewels, then gives her a thank-you kiss before leaving. She'd been sleeping like the dead before, so he really hadn't been expecting her to wake up.
But she did, and he thinks she's nuts.
When the full story comes out, he still thinks she's nuts. She thinks that Gloriana either made a terrible mistake, or this is a joke. This dirty man can't be her true love, right?

* Dedicated. DO NOT DROP OUT. SERIOUSLY. NOOOOO.
* Literate. No one liners, spell like you care, and for God's sake, USE THE EFFING COMMAS.
* Be somewhat realistic. Yes, this is a somewhat silly, fantasy RP with magic, but still. The princess doesn't know how to fight or climb trees, and the thief isn't going to fall in love just because some chic tells him he's destined to.
* If you are sensitive, or squeamish, be warned. This might get a little bit dark. But I kinda want this one to be more light-hearted than normal, so it'll stay PG-13 at most. So it shouldn't be too bad. But there will still be violence and such. I mean, the thief is caught up in gangs.
* I kinda want the guy, so whoever plays the princess, keep her in character. Remember that she grew up privileged and spoiled, so she'd be kinda snooty. Of course, they'll both most likely change over the course of the story...:)
* If there are more than two people (including myself), first come first serve, unless the first person who comes wants to play someone other than the princess. You could be one of the members of the theif's gang, maybe Ayleth or Gloriana...Or someone else you can think of. :)

Name: (the princess in the book I'm writing is Isolde, and the thief calls her Isabelle or Iz, but you can change it. Isolde = Iz = Isabelle, Belle = Beauty, aka, Sleeping Beauty. :p)
Age: (the princess is 16, so this one's not really necessary for her, but, whatevah)
Appearance: (details! Include at least the height, hair color and length, eye color, etc. Keep in mind that the princess comes from the 1300's, so her hair would be long.)
Personality: (again, details! And for the princess, make her princessy.)
Bio: (again, not really all that necessary for the princess. Or anyone, really.))
Mind if I tried?
Sure! Just follow the rules. :) I'll have the guy's skelly up in a bit.
Awesome! I'll get Isabelle's up in a few minutes
Name: Corban Reid
Age: 17 1/2, but he pretends to be 19 a lot, sometimes older.
Appearance: Tall, at 6'2", and wiry. He's fit and agile, with good reflexes. He has a few scars; a seven inch slash across his chest, a thin, two inch line going down the left side of his face, and one across his right palm.
His hair is dark brown, and buzzed short, only about a quarter of an inch long. His eyes are also a dark brown, with gold flecks. He has a strong jaw with a cleft in his chin, covered in a five 'o clock shadow. He has a tiny silver hoop through his left ear.
Personality: If he has one major weakness, it's curiosity. He can't help but stick his nose where it doesn't belong, and it gets him in trouble nearly every time.
He generally doesn't show who he is, and he's good at hiding his emotions, especially fear. He's cynical, gruff, impatient and a bit crass. He's a thief, but an honest one. "Honor among thieves" is a phrase he sticks to, even if his "friends" don't.
He can be cocky, rash, and he's nearly always a man of action. He gets into fights often, and is pretty good at it. He lacks finesse, but knows enough to get buy. Dirty fighting is against his rules, though if he has to, he's not really against ending a life if the opposition deserves it.
He avoids friends for the most part, but has several "allies", most of which wouldn't hesitate to double-cross him if it meant gaining a couple thousands bucks.
Name: Isabelle Rooke
Appearance: Long brunette hair that falls almost to her ankles, that is kept in very elaborate braids and updoes most of the time [she's a princess, after all ]; very fair skin, having not been outside much for obvious reasons; bright, sparkly, but very mischievious green eyes, framed with long, dark lashes; full, almost pouty, pink lips, that hardly ever smile [in front of other people]; a very slight build at only 5'4" - she's definitely no athlete.
Personality: Obviously, considering her princess-ness, she tends to be rather rude to people she thinks are below her. Which is usually, well, everyone. She can be extremely blunt at times, and is never scared to speak her mind, no matter what. She can be a bit of a complainer, and lacks patience. But she can be rather sympathetic, though she tries to hide that part of herself, because she doesn't want people thinking she's super nice. She never had any true friends, partially because of her attitude, but also because she hasn't gotten out much, even before her 'incident' on her birthday.
[Is that okay? Hopefully I got everything... ]
((Yup, that's good! :) So should we start when he kisses her or something?))
[That works for me, I think ^^ Do you want to start, or should I? ]
Corban glanced around the room regretfully. It wasn't like it was packed with gold, but it had way more valubles than he'd ever seen in one place before. And some of this stuff looked really old; maybe it would be even more valuble because of it. But it was too much to take, so he'd filled his sturdy black backpack with as much as it would hold without being overstuffed or too heavy. Maybe he could come back.
He grinned; even without everything, this would help a lot with his debts. His dark eyes turned back to the girl, laying in that huge bed like a doll. When he first saw her, he'd thought she was dead. But she had a pulse. Maybe she just took too many sleeping pills or something.
Leaning in, he kissed her softly on the cheek. "Thank you very much for you generous gift." He whispered teasingly, bowing.
For the first time in a very long time, Isabelle groaned and turned over, her brow furrowing; who the heck was trying to wake her up..? She muttered a few sleepy curses under her breath, turning over again - and ending up on the ground.
"Ow!" She quickly stood up, holding onto something for support since she was still unsteady on her feet. What was she holding onto that was so warm..?
She slowly and groggily looked up at... a guy. A guy. A guy was in her room while she was asleep?! Of course, she screamed, jerking back away from him. "Who... who are you? What are you doing?" Her eyes widened. "You were going to kidnap me in my sleep! And... and... kill me..?" Everything was so much more confusing in the morning.
Corban stared blankly at the girl, who was now on the floor. Really. His luck...She slept through him checking her pulse, asking loudly if she was alright, and his robbing her room, but one little brush on the cheek and she wakes?
"If I was going to kidnap you, I would have used chloraform." He said. There was no cell reception out here, and she seemed to be alone, so he figured there was no danger in not hightailing it out as fast as he could.
Isabelle backed against the wall, trying to stay as far from him as she could. "Chlora... huh?" Why was he using words she couldn't understand? It took her a moment to actually realise that this wasn't her bedroom. She frowned; what was this, a cave?
"I see. So you have already kidnapped me!" she accused, glaring at the strange boy. "That's why I'm no longer in my room... Where are we now? Some secret hideout of yours? You haven't r.aped me in my sleep, have you?"
"Wha...No!" Corban protested, confused. Wasn't this her place? Had someone else kidnapped her? My luck...
"You don't live here?" As he said it he realised that it sounded silly. It was a cave. Sure, it was a nice, warm, furnished cave, but it was still a cave. A cave with a very narrow crack as it's only door, which was a fire hazard...
((I have to go, goodnight!))
Isabelle rolled her eyes in disgust, crossing her arms over her chest. "You honestly think I, a princess, future ruler of all the land, would live in some ugly hole in the side of a rock?" What a dimwit. "I assure you, my palace is much better furnished than this, stupid boy."
And what was with this guy's clothes? "Are you from another world, perhaps?" The condescending tone was still there, but her expression was one of curiosity. "Maybe that is why you seem so strange..."
[Okeydokey, goodnight! ]
((I can only sneak one post in before I have to go to bed. >.<))
Corban blinked again, no doubt looking just like the "stupid boy" she said he was. "Excuse me?" He asked, indignant. "Who do you think you are?" He felt even more of a stupid boy after he said that. Unless this was a joke, she thought she was a queen or a princess.
Looking at her--hair mussed, in a nightgown, arms crossed and claiming to live in a palace--he suddenly had to try to suppress a laugh. And failed.
"What are you laughing about?" Isabelle demanded, now furious. How dare you, some peasant, laugh at your princess! I can have you locked away for that, you know!"
This idiot... How did he not recognise a princess? Was he really that ignorant? "And who do you think you are? You should be on your knees, peasant, bowing before your future queen!" She was no longer against the wall now, but standing rather close to the mysterious boy, glaring up at him. Oh, why did he have to be so tall...
"Uh, yeah, no." Corban said rudely, brushing past her, towards the crack in the wall. "You're crazy. This is the U.S., we don't have a queen. I'm pretty sure I would have heard of it.
"Feel free to try and arrest me though, I'd love to see you try."
Isabelle blinked, her glare turning into a stare of confusion. U.S.? What was that? A place with no queen..? "W-wait!" she called, following after him quickly and tugging on his wrist. "You aren't going to just leave me here, are you? I don't even know where I am..."
