Nathaniel tensed instantly and darted off the bed and away from her. He cursed under his breath. It was night, he was exhausted and brutally injured and still oozing blood. This was a terrible case of karma. I’d better not die because of this. I saved her—I mean come on! That was a good deed! Shouldn’t that balance everything else out? ”You mean to tell me you’ve already killed two f***ing angels!?” he snapped.

"I'm sorry.... But one was in self defence if that makes it better...." Darcy walked over to him knowing he couldn't move away. He was too weak. She wrapped her arms softly around him. "I won't hurt you. I could so easily but I won't." She pressed her face into his hair. "Have I not proven that?"
Nathaniel winced at her touch and his wounds. “F-fine,” he managed, obvious strain in his voice. “There isn’t…much I can do…a-about it now, anyway,” he struggled against the pain. It was amazing he had lived through all that, but he hated the fact that it made him the weaker one in this instance. Even though angels were weaker in general.
"Bandage yourself up if you rather. I'm going.... Hunting." Darcy told him walking twords the door. "You are not trapped. I won't keep you here. It's a choice. Just know I want you here." Then she turned to leave.
Nathaniel let out a shaky sigh after she left the building. He felt like an animal who had just barely escaped from a hunter’s trap. He shook his head. Walking over to the bed, he plopped down heavily and started fumbling with bandages—trying to stop the bleeding and make them stay in place. She’s proven that she’s not going to suck me dry now…but what about later? What about after it comes to light that I can’t ‘cure’ her with my love? Certainly she’d devour me then…
And you’d deserve it, fallen angel.
Nathaniel bit his lip. He didn’t want to think it…but he couldn’t help it. After all, fallen angels are barely better than vampires. Loosing what little willpower he had left, he barely finished with the last bandage before collapsing on the bed in pure exhaustion. Who knows if it was sleep or if he was out cold.
Darcy was walking down the path when she ran into the hunter this cabin clearly belonged to. She quickly made a meal out of him then disabled his body into a near lake, holding it down with rocks.
Darcy dreaded going back to the cabin knowing that he would be gone. She opened the door to it then saw nothing. He was gone. Then a sleeping figure... He stayed? She walked over to the bed... He was evn cuter when sleeping. She sat down because him and started to hum. It was true vampires didn't need sleep. But they could still go to sleep. And that what she did, forgetting everything but the beating of his heart. If only for the moment.
Nathaniel moaned slightly in his sleep, his breath turning rapid as images flooded his brain. His muscles tensed, his wings twitched, his lips uttered incoherent words of another tongue. He was having a nightmare. The worst kind—the dreams that are not really dreams but memories. Memories reminding you of everything you’ve done wrong.
Darcy felt Nathanael move a bit. She woke up and took his hand into hers. "Shhh wake up. It's ok. I'm here..." She whispered into his ear. She pressed her face into his hair putting the hand that wasn't holding his onto his cheek.
Nathaniel stirred to the point of consciousness, he blinked. Realizing that something was touching him, he did a weird uncoordinated ninja roll off the bed, landing in a crouch. He was about to attack the demon that had touched him until remembering everything that happened yesterday. “Oh… this isn’t he.ll,” he mumbled weakly.
"Depends on what you make of it." Darcy snapped, thinking that was a insult twords her. "I do try to be nice!" She huffed then riled over on the bed letting him get up himself. How dare he call being with her he.ll she yelled in her mind. She took most things tword her.
Nathaniel hauled himself up unsteadily, looking around. “What do you mean depends on what you make of it? That makes no sense! I think I’d know what he.ll looks like, I was kind of born there. I was there a second ago, and now I’m not…” he rubbed his head, trying to sort out reality. “Oh. It was a dream.”
Darcy turned to look at him "you were born in he.ll?" She then said aloud "wow. I've Ded been a vampire for WAY too long." Referring to her current thoughts. She then reached out to help him back onto the bed.
Ded ***** deff
Due to his unsteadiness, he reluctantly accepted her help and climbed back on the bed. He took a second to process what he'd just said. "Right. You wouldn't know anything about me and my heredity," he mumbled.
"Well I know you are a fallen angle from birth and you were born in h.ell. Also that you are not fallen in status... Unless that's what got you beat up. Anyway what did happen to you?" Darcy didn't let go of his hand. Touch was nice. She hadn't had it in.... Almost forever.
Nathaniel groaned. "I got discovered...that's what happened. The da.mn council was so furious they were going to sacrifice my charge just to kill me. The whole ninth wing was after me," he mumbled. It was a vague discription, but whatever. He was talking more to himself anyway--trying to figure out his he was discovered.
"Ok..." Darcy picked up that it was problem a bad idea to talk about. "I'm glad you made it back" she wisp red pressing her face into his neck. She didn't know why she didn't just bite him and get it over with. So much simpler really. "Really glad..." Her phangs pressed onto his neck but she didn't bite. She wanted him to like her. She needed it.
Nathaniel sensed slightly at her fangs, but he didn't move away. Partially because he was injured, partially because he knew she could just bite him anytime and there's nothing he could do about it. He sighed. "I'm worse than a vampire--I was born and raised alongside demons and I knew the devil himself. If anything, my blood will worsen your condition. I...I'm no angel," he murmured softly, almost sadly.
