**** fangs. Autocorrect. Lol
He closed his eyes as she kissed his neck, forcing himself to breathe. “Well…I don’t know what to do then. You don’t want me to fall for you…but I have to kill her and fall to save you…” he lowered his voice as the next sentence came out in an extremely quiet, choppy whisper. “You could sleep with me if you married me…”
Darcy knew that her sister would have to catch up first before they killed her. She had time to figure this out. She hear his whisper and pulled back extremely fast. "If I what?" She couldn't believe what she heard.
Nathaniel looked down at his hands, his face going a little red. Had he really said it? After what happened with Rogue? "I was pointing out that... We could have s.ex without me falling... If you were my wife..." He became a little more flushed. "S-someday," he added, an attempt to rectify if what he said was a terrible thing to say and she hated the idea of it and was shocked and...
"Oh... I thought that you wanted.. Like you were asking... Never mind." Darcy sighed disappointment showing in her voice, she tried to hide it but this was to much for even her to hide.
He looked at her and her obvious disappointment with his mouth gaping in shock. His heart seemed to stop working. "Wha... You mean... You would actually... c-consider it? Marrying me?"
"If you asked." Darcy replied simply then closed her eyes. Almost to avoid his reply. Like he would ask! Ha! A angel could do better than a vampire.
"Mm..." He said quietly. He couldn't exactly ask her right now... He didn't have anything to propose with. Or did he? But... It such an important thing...would it really be enough? Probably not...
Darcy half expected... Should she? No. But... "If you are going to ask go ahead...." She whispered. She didn't care he didn't have a ring. It didn't really matter. What she needed was him. That was all she would ever need.
Nathaniel took in a nervous breath. Why should he be nervous? She had just told him to ask if he was going to ask... So why was he so d.amn nervous!? He waited a moment before sliding off the bed and kneeling on the floor. He took a feather from a specific place, one that was larger than the others and one of the few that was pure white annoy speckled with ash. He held it out to her. "Darcy...will you please...marry me?"
*** pure white and not speckled with ash. Darn you auto correct.
Darcy couldn't believe it. She stood up and smiled. "Yes" she told him before placing one hand over his with the feather then bending down to cover his lips with hers. Her insides screamed with joy. He loved her. He loved her. He really did.
Nathaniel was...wow. Darcy was going to marry him... Was he dreaming? He felt her lips on his. No, it was real. He rose to pluck her up from the ground, spinning her around in pure happiness. "I love you," he finally murmured.
Darcy giggled clutching onto him. "I love you too." She said smiling. It had been so long seance she smiled this much. It was amazing. He loved her. She was going to marry him. They would be together for a long time. Or at least however long it took for her sister to catch up to her.
((I have a plan for that btw so it will work out. Just thought of it. :) ))
(( *nods* ))
Nathani kept his arms around her and rocked gently from side to side, placing a kiss on her cheek. This was just... Amazing.
After a while Darcy pulled back only for a second to poke a small hole in the base of the feather to string it onto the small chain she had around her neck so it hung beside the heart locket. She smiled contentedly before Turing away from him. "Fasten this?" She asked him handing it to him. The pure white feather looked perfect beside the ancent locket.
Nathaniel carefully grabbed each end of her chain, moving to fasten it. He purposely moved slowly and let his fingers brush against her in a tender, romantic sort of way. When he had finished clasping it he wrapped his arms around her middle and kissed her neck from behind.
"Mmmmmm" Darcy sighed wordlessly as he kissed her neck. She wrapped her hands around his arms not letting him pull away. "Does it bother you I'm stronger than you?" She asked teasingly. Vampires were the strongest creatures and it had its downside but was also kinda fun.
Nathaniel chuckled. "Honestly? It bothered me like h.ell at the beginning. Especially when you were calling me the queen to the overlord. That really bothered me," he mumbled into her neck. "But I'm over it. Just so long as you don't use feminine adjectives to describe me. Overlord Darcy and that guy Nathaniel is totally fine--but queen Nathaniel is pushing it."
"Don't worry. You'll just be sir. I'll be supreme over lord. Or lord." Darcy reassured him. She then spun them around to the wall and used one of her hands to pin both of his over his head. "Sure it doesn't bother you?" She teased again.
