Riley had caught her in his arms when she bumped into him. He grimaced. "Hey Ness. What's wrong?"
Ness shook her head and more tears fell. she only pointed a finger at the group that was mean too her.
Riley growled. He might not have been popular, but he was a big guy, like football player linebacker big. He stepped between Ness and the group. "What the He.ll is your problem?!"
Ness watched as the leader of the scoup looked really mad. he went up to Riley. "none of your business. its between us and the sl.ut." he scoffed at him. Ness winced and more tears fell.
Riley gripped the front of his shirt. "That sl.ut, happens to be my girlfriend. And if you mess with her again, I will beat the living daylights out of you." He snarled. Now he had a reputation for keeping promises when it came to beating people up. He, of course, only made these promises for the sakes of others.
Ness hid next to a locker. The leader went and punched Riley in the gut. "i doubt you could. besides once we are done with you, we could have a little fun with that girl of yours." he told Riley.
Riley growled, a little dog-like, which creeped him out. He tackled the 'leader' and knocked him to the ground with strength he didn't remember having. He punched him and broke his nose and punched him a few more times before he felt someone pulling him off.
Ness remained hidden. then leader got up. clentching his nose he took off with his group right behind. she had watched riley being pulled back by a guy who must have been his friend.
"Jeez Riley, what the heck was that?" His friend asked, gripping his shoulders. "I haven't seen you ever go at it like that..."
Riley shoved him off. "He had it coming." He turned to Ness' hiding place. "Hey, are you alright?"
Ness popped her head out. "yes im ok. are you ok?"
Riley shrugged. He didn't feel any lasting pain from the one punch he recieved. He looked at his hands. Nope, not damage there either. "Yeah, damage report says I'm okay."
Ness came out of her hiding place. she had just remembered that she had Riley's jacket on. but she kinda wanted to wear it some more. she ran up to him and hugged him. she burried her face in his chest. "thank you. am i really your girlfriend?"
Riley stuttered for a moment. Finally, he got it out. "If you want to be..."
Ness looked up at him and smiled. " i'd love to be. "she said. she blushed some.
Riley smiled softly, blushing himself. His friend shook his head. "Should've known it was over a girl..." He muttered, before walking away.
Ness looked at her phone. she was gonna be late for class. but she didnt care. " what is with those guys? and how did you get so strong?"she asked.
Riley grimaced and shrugged. "It's, eh, natural?"
Ness shivered some. "i hope they dont come back again."
