"Well, Eva insisted on teaching me a few things," Jasper admitted, dropping one hand carefully to her waist as the other held hers up.
Salia nodded and tried not to jump as Jasper's hand landed on her waist. "Well, let's see if you learned anything."
"Not much, I'm afraid." Jasper smirked faintly, starting to leading a waltz.
Salia followed his lead and allowed the music to flow through her and swallow her up.
Thank goodness he was actually doing this right... Or at least Jasper hoped he was. He smoothly twirled her before bringing her back, continuing the litte waltz.
Salia couldn't help but smile as Jasper twirled her. She also couldn't help but blush as her friends stopped to watch them, all with smug smiles on their faces.
"Oh my gosh, she's actually blushing," Jasper teased quietly with a smirk. "Is it just me, or does it feel like we're on display right now?"
"It's just you," sarcasm finds its way through her voice. They were on display and honestly, she doesn't like it.
Jasper rolled his eyes, carefully twirling her again before pulling her close. "It's a dance, Salia. It's not like they're watching us, I dunno, make out or something."
"Think I'd be more comfortable with that," sarcasm spewed from her mouth. She rolled her eyes at her friends and they smiled and shrugged.
"Would you now?" Jasper sighed, forcing back a grimace as Lisbeth winked at him. "I'm pretty sure your friend is trying to come on to me," he muttered a little uneasily.
"Liz?" Salia threw her head back slightly and laugh. "
Yeah, Liz does that a lot." Salia rolled her eyes at Lisbeth and frowned slightly.
"Yeah, well, it's creeping me out," Jasper admitted with a little laugh. "I'm supposed to be here with you, not some random chick."
"Want me to talk to her and tell her about herself?" Salia offered and looked back at Lisbeth then at Eli.
Jasper shook his head. "Nah, it's fine." He glanced back at the group watching them, and softly sighed. "Where did you get so many strange friends?"
She chuckled slightly. "Oddly enough, most of them found me but Kasai, Eli and I grew up together." She left out the part that she and Eli dated at one point in time during their friendship.
"Oh?" Jasper twirled her around again. "How on earth does Eli put up with so many crazy girls?" To be honest, Eli made him a little uneasy.
"Let's just say he's still hooked on someone," she paused before continuing, "two someones." She glanced back at Eli and he smiled at her and asked Liz to dance. "Your problem with Liz seems to be fixed, at least for a little while." She smiled at Jasper.
Jasper raised a curious brow, watching as Lisbeth giggled girlishly and took Eli's hand. "Two someones? Seems like a lot, to me." Though he couldn't say anything; he was sort of in the same boat.
"Well considering one is his baby ma and she's dead and the other .. well, I don't want to discuss her right now," Salia said with some sadness in her voice. His daughter - her goddaughter will grow up without a mother.
