Stephen gave her a slight smile. "It looks better on the inside." He pulled keys out and unlocked the door.

Lilly smiled a bit and walked up to him. "Is there a place I can lay my sister down?"

"Go to the back where the bathrooms used to be," Stephen instructed her. "I converted them into bedrooms."

Lilly nodded and went into the bathroom. She laid kait down on the cot and kissed her head. "Sleep, we're safe now."

Stephen smiled in the girl's direction. "And if anyone comes, I'll stop them."

Kait nodded and closed er eyes. Lily gently pulled the blanket over her and kissed her head. "Sleep tight love."

Stephen walked out, the store's door swinging shut behind him. It was a little too eventful of a day for his liking, but he had dealt with it. He could see smoke rising in the distance. He watched as a fire truck sped down the road. Like they could get there fast enough. Stephen snorted.

Lilly left and stood by him. "Thanks....I'm glad to be out of there..."

He nodded. "I don't think others were that lucky." He gestured at the obscene amount of smoke curling towad the sky

Lilly smiled and bumped him lightly. "They deserve it."

He raised an eyebrow. "Those are your people. Must have been as.ses to you."

Lil rubbed her face where she as been slapped. "You have no idea..."

He nodded. "I get that." He looked down the street. "I don't think taking you to the coven would be a good idea."

Lilly rubbed her eyes. "I agree. So...what now?"

"We wait." He looked to the sky. "And hope to God it doesn't rain too bad."

Lilly nodded and sighed. "Let's get inside..."

He nodded and went back inside. "If you get hungry, there's a bunch of assorted, bloody meals in one of the freezers."
