((Cool, I'll write the first post in a few minutes.))
Fiain leaned over the front seat and fiddled with the radio. She was the first one ready to go, but she had been so excited about this road trip that it was inevitable. Fiain had only ever seen Arizona and Texas. She wanted to see everything else. She had brought a map of America and was busy looking for good routes to take. She had gotten this van from her father, who had been more then willing to lend it to her, after he made her change the license plates. She had long decided not to ask questions anymore. It was a 1970 ChevyVan second generation and dark gray in color that had no seats in the back. Fiain had set up a sort of sleeping area in the very back and a lounge area in the middle, where she was laying on her back in a nest of pillows and blankets as she studied her map. The others wouldn't be long, and once they all got here they would hit the road headed for Oklahoma. She had a friend on an Indian reservation that she wanted to visit.
Xiyra pulls up after awhile in her black Hummer, music blaring from the speakers as usual, this time some combination of 10 Years, Sirenia, Sleepthief, and Nickelback. She didn't particularly care if anybody was bothered by it; it was her car and her music, after all. She was hoping maybe, just maybe, they could stop in Colorado Springs and pick up her brother... If he was there still, alive. Why didn't I bring him with me qwhen I fled? He's my twin, da.mn it. Probably wouldn't have come, though... She frowns at that, shaking her head and glancing out both windows, noticing that only Fiain was there. At least, that's who she guessed it to be.
Volya jogged through the trailer park, the cops were looking for him, if his parents weren't drunk to recognize him he'd probably be turned in by now.
He left the trailer park and headed for the meeting place Fiain had decided upon, a parking lot in front of a defunct gas station. He made sure to try and not look suspicious and avoid any place the cops might be. He came to the parking lot and opened up the passenger seat door and slid in, tossing his back ack into the back, which was made up like a lounge/sleeping area.
"Hello, Fiain." he said shutting the passenger door. The others better get here soon, seating around in a car made him feel like a sitting duck for the cops.
((We posted at the same time Darkness...Volya is in the car now too...))
(I noticed that. And please, call me Shadow.)
Xiyra watches Volya get in the car. One more... Then we can get out of here, she tells herself, turning down the music and sighing. She wanted to get the he.ll out of there now, but the truth was, she also wanted the company of other people a bit. "Come on. Lua..." she mutters under her brath. If she could pace inside her car, she would, but for now she would have to make do with toying with her stereo system.
Lua hiked toward the gas station from the abandoned warehouse where she'd been sleeping the last few nights. She saw the cars parked beside the dilapidated warehouse and headed over to them. "Mornin,'" she said to Fiain, Volya, and Xiyra. "'Bout ready to roll out? Sorry I'm a few minutes late, just stopped to pick us up a bag of bagels."
Xiyra leans out her window, dark hair falling into her eyes. "That's fine. I think we're all ready. My twin may or may not meet up with us in Colorado Springs." She pushes her hair out of her face, "I've got some sodas and chips with me and about all the money I could steal... borrow from my parents' house."
"Alright, awesome, let's go!" Fiain says. "I've picked out a route to start us off. We're stopping in Ohkay Owingeh on the way, it's just north of Espanola, only about forty minutes from here, and from there we can take route 285 to Colorado and go camping in the national forests, and I wanna cross Kansas and Missouri, go to St. Louis, Memphis, and maybe New Orleans, and from there we can get back on route 66 and do the whole desert wandering, Vegas and San Fran psychadelics from there." Fiain says all in a rush.
"Woah, Fiain, slow down." Volya said, "We don't need to be in such a hurry, just drive and ejoy, plans aren't needed." he added, he mad ehis chair recline a bit, his lazy nature taking over, plans gave him head aches, he prefered to fly by the seat of his pants becuase one, he wa stoo lazy to make plans, and two it was mroe adventurous to him.
"But we really should go." he added. He grinn edslightly when he heard what Xiyra siad, if his parents had any money he'd steal it, but they didn't, or none in the house that is. He'd instead grabbed an extra set of clothes a few bottles of vodka, and a couple other neccities to him like a knife and such.
"I've got about 500 frn here," Lua said as she settled back into the seat and the door shut. She grinned. This was going to be a good trip, she could tell already.
"Are we going to Texas by any chance?" she asked. "Or do we not know yet?" She glanced around at the others.
"We can stop in Texas." Fiain says excitedly. "We can pass through after we go to New Orleans. I love Texas, it's wide open." Fiain fiddles with the radio again and settle on a classic rock station. A Steppenwolf single is playing and Fiain drums her fingers on the steering wheel along with the rhythm. "You're never gonna believe what I did." She adds as she pulls out of the parking lot. "I took a few stalks of weed and put them under the hood of the car, that way the smoke comes through the vents. Isn't that genius? I think so. Can you give me a bagel, Lua? I'm starving."
"Dear God," Xiyra mutters, keeping her Hummer alongside Fiain's van. Because you're one to talk when you have your stash of vodka, wine, and beer? she thinks, laughing softly and taking a sip of the beer she'd opened on the way there.
Lua laughs. "So long as we don't get pulled over we're golden." She pulls out a cinnamon-raison bagel from the bag and hands it to Fiain. "Love this song," she says, rocking to the rhythm in her seat. The bright sunlight makes her narrow her eyes, and she drinks in the scenery.
(((How are we doing communication between the van and the Hummer? CBs or something?)))
(I'd assume cell phones or something. I mean, how else would they really plan this...?)
Volya laughed at what Fiain said, she had some strangely different ideas. He kicked his feet up onto the dashboard, sure it wasn't the best idea, but getting high while drivng, hitting cops, and having alcohol rolling around in the back weren't exactly extremely brilliant ideas either. At least in most people's mind, he didn't care though, if he wanted to do something he'd do it and didn't care hwat others said or thought about it.
"Thanks, love." Fiain said, grabbing the bagel eagerly and taking a bite. "Ok, so I've packed all the necessary things, we should be good for everything short of a global apocalypse. I've got knives, and a hatchet, and a machete, a big pile of blankets, canned chili and coffee. the liquor cabinet is under the passenger seat. I only have potín, and bourbon, so there's room in there. Do not go under the driver's seat, as my pet Cophosaurus Texanus, Buffalo Bill lives there and he's a nervous little lizard. There are a few unregistered handguns in the glove department, and I may leave them lying around, I dunno, they're hard to keep of. Now I expect all of us to act like responsible human beings here." Fiain says, before she starts coughing, and tilting the vent away into Volya's direction. "Assume it's loaded." She added darkly. "There's also a family pack of condoms around here somewhere." Fiain pauses, then she starts laughing. "That sounded better in my head. Oh, and I have stashed a lot of cannabis in the walls and interior of the car. Please for the love of god, do not get wrapped up in any murder cases, or let anyone know about my guns and my grass. That's all I have to say. Anyone got any things we should know before we embark in an extended trip with each other?"
((I think I'll add another charrie soon, but I want my new charrie to be picked up by Xiyra, if that's OK with you, Shadow and you, Sorla. Since no one else is in the car with Xiyra...))
Voyla laughed and shook his head,
"You are a peice of work, Fiain." he said. Drugs, firearms, knives, alcohol. Greatest combination ever. he thought, Oh and a tempramental, paranoid, nervous lizard named Buffalo Bill. he added to the list in his head. He heard what Fiain said,
"I got some wodka and knives in my bag." he said, he guessed they already knew about his little incident with the cops, he thought he'd told them but wasn'ts ure, he could've been drunk then. He took a deep breath, "Oh yes and I have matches, a large boxx of 'em." he added. Because all we need in this car is the ability to make fire. he thought.
(That's fine with me as long as it's alright with Sorla. By the way, bold for me is usually texting.)
Xiyra glances over at the van, grabbing her phone off the seat beside her and quickly texting Fiain, Hey, don't forget to remind them not to raid my ride for my personal stash of alchohol.
She quickly returns her focus to the road, one hand on the steering wheel, the other on her beer. She didn't particularly care if now and then someone grabbed a drink or two from the Hummer, but she preferred to keep most of it to herself, especially the wine. That was certainly something she'd fight to the death for after the sh.it she went through to get it.
"Not much to know about me, except that the best way to get me pissed off is mess with my stuff without asking. I mean, it's not like there's anything dangerous in there, but I just can't stand when people don't ask permission." Lua shrugs. "That's all."
