"Yeah it is a little dangerous and we need time to prepare. Why in the world did we volunteer for this operation anyway?" he said with a little laugh. He rested his head against the wall and squeezed her hand involuntarily. Then her looked down and saw their intertwined hands. He quickly pulled away and muttered, "I'm sorry."
"I don't know why either," she admitted. "Oh, don't be sorry... It's okay." She sighed softly, not sure what to do now. All she knew was that she was blushing again, so she turned away, staring at the ground. "Is there anything to do here? Food? I'm starving..."
"Yeah, go to the mess hall I'll hook you up with some grubs" he said as he quickly walked to the kitchen. He whipped up some pasta, his heart beating like crazy, though he wasn't sure if it was from holding hands with Mikel or the tiger.
Mikel nodded thankfully and obeyed, finding a table near the wall and taking a seat. It was strange; the ship was big, and the rooms were big, but... It was only her and him. All alone. The thought made her blush again.
Aditya laid the pasta out in two plates and came over to the table and served it to them as he sat down. "Bon appetit Mademoiselle" he said with pride in his pasta.
"Ah, thank you," Mikel said with a smile. The food did look pretty good... She took a small bite. "This is good," she commented after swallowing. "I didn't know you were a chef."
"I had to learn to cook by myself after my parents died when i was young, guess I did a good job." he replied with a grim look on his face.
She silently stared at her plate. Shouldn't have said anything... "I'm sorry," she murmured softly.
"It's alright, anyway, eat up before we go to bed. We'll prepare to go outside tomorrow I guess" he said, his grin returning.
It was a little strange to her, that his smile was back so quickly. "Right, tomorrow. But, do we really have to go to bed? We were already asleep for, what, centuries? I'm not really that tired."
"Alright, what you want to do?" he asked.
(I'll be going for an hour or two because I have PE then gotta get home then I will post)
"Hmm..." She thought for a moment, twirling a piece of her hair around her finger. "Well, I'd like to go back outside, but... Obviously I'd rather not get eaten in the process. Maybe... a game?"
"What game?" he asked curiously.
"Twenty-questions, of course!" She giggled quietly. "We hardly know eachother, right? So now we have the chance."
"Sure why not? Go ahead and ask" he replied with a grin.
"Okay." Biting her lip, she took a few seconds to think. "Why do you smile so much? I mean, it isn't bad, I'm just curious."
"Umm, I don't really know. But I guess it's to hide my pain. The stuff that has happened to me in the past you know?" he said.
Mikel nodded; that had probably been a bad question. But she forced a small smile. "Your turn."
"Why are you so shy?" he asked innocently.
She blushed, giving an embarrassed smile. "Um, well... I don't trust people very well..."
