[Lol mkay. You wanna start? ]
(You know I don't know how to start RPs haha)
[Lol Just figured I'd ask anyway. Hopefully I can start this right... ]
Mikel slowly opened her eyes, sighing; she knew she had been 'asleep' for a pretty long time, but she couldn't remember how long. Too long, it seemed. Where were they even at now?
Aditya's eyes opened. He stepped out of his cryogenic chamber and looked around. Where were they. He went and grabbed a quick bite to eat then headed to the control room. They were in an uncharted area, but it seems that they had hit the black hole they were going for. Where was the other scientist who was supposed to be with him anyway?
Mikel stumbled out of the room, shivering, and looked around. Wasn't there supposed to be another person here with here? "Hello?" she called, wandering around.
He waved as the person walked into the control room. It was a girl. A pretty girl. He then realized he had been gawking and stopped. "Hi, I'm Aditya!" he said rather loudly with a grin on his face.
Jumping at the sudden voice, she stared at the stranger for a second, then shook her head, offering a small smile. "Ah, hello..." Biting her lip, she walked toward him, eyeing him cautiously. "I'm Mikel. You're the other one who got frozen along with me right?" she asked with a faint smirk.
"Yep!" Aditya replied, rather too enthusiastically. "I've ran diagnostics on the ship and it seems that we have crashed after entering the black hole, the coordinates of our position is unknown though. I think this may be like a parallel universe or something." he blurted out rather quickly, returning to the controls.
Boy, this guy seemed peppy. Mikel simply nodded, not sure how to respond; plus she was feeling a little weird, having just woke up. "I see... Well... Do you know how long we've been asleep?" She couldn't remember.
"No idea one xactly how much but i estimate 450 years based on the length between our planet and the balck hole in terms of the speed we were operating at." Aditya replied hastily. He pressed one last button and the ship whirred to live with its emergency generators.
"That long..?" Goodness, that was a long, long time... Mikel finally sighed and walked over to stand beside him, looking at all the buttons and switches and lights. How could Aditya keep track of what all these did? "What's this one do?" she asked curiously, pointing to a red button.
"Thats the self destruct button so please do not touch that" he replied sternly. He looked at her with fire in his eyes. He shook it off and began checking the gas levels of the outside world. Safe enough to go out without a suit apparently. He opened up the airlock and stretched as he breathed fresh air for the first time in years. The air smelled pleasant.
"Oh." She quickly jerked her hand away from the button; that wouldn't be fun... Unsure of what to do next, she followed him to the door, blinking as fresh air hit her face, and a soft breeze made her hair flutter gently. "Do you think... it's safe to go outside?"
"Yeah the gas levels seem similar to those on Earth, and we're alive right now so I guess so. But if there is life here it could be dangerous. You are the biologist after all ma'am" he said with a smirk and a twinkle in his eye.
"R-right," she muttered, a little flustered from his smirk, and she looked away. She quickly walked outside ahead of him - partly because she was curious about the place, but also because she didn't want him seeing the blush on her face.
He smiled as he walked and stepped out on to what looked like a purple version fo grass. It was night and there were 3 beautiful full moons in the sky. He looked up into the moonlight.
"Oh wow..." she murmured, taking in all the scenery. "Isn't it gorgeous?" Everything was so beautiful... Weirdly coloured, yes, but beautiful all the same.
"Can't argue with that." he replied. He then looked over and saw what looked like a tiger hiding in the tall grass. His eyes widened and he grabbed Mikel's hand and pulled her in the ship, the creature's claws nearly missing her. He shut the airlock. "Ok maybe we are not entirely sade" Aditya said panickedly. He didn't release her hand unconsciously.
Mikel was in too much shock to speak, simply clutching onto his arm tightly. Was that a tiger? "Th-thank you..." she stammered, her eyes still wide. He was still holding her hand, she noticed, but she made no move to pull away. "Maybe we should... wait till daytime to go back out..."
