"Are we?" Rai asked, "because I can't remember a lot of stuff." His memory was hazy now.
Sarah sighed and nodded. "im sure we can." she told him.
"Okay," Rai replied.
Sarah kept walking in silence.
Eventually, they exited the tower and Rai fell off of Sarah's shoulders. He lay there in pain as signals convulsed in his brain and sent shocks throughout his body, starting from his head and down to the feet.
Sarah quickly knelt down next to him and put a hand on him."Rai?" she asked. She looked into his eyes. "Whats wrong?"
Rai couldn't say anything, the pain kept him from replying to Sarah, instead he slowly crawled away from Sarah. His body was not following his commands.
Sarah carefully picked him up and took him back to the forest and laid him in a cave after making sure it was safe. She sat at the mouth of the cave to keep guard.
Rai fell alseep and he went through vivid dreams. On one dream he saw a mad doctor stare at him crazily. On another, Rai was strapped to a chair and there was a person dissecting his organs. On another, he was crucified and got stoned at. Countless dreams.
Sarah sat silently at the mouth of the now dark cave. She went and started a small fire near Rai. She sighed and went back to guarding.
About an hour later, Rai's dreams came to a stop. He slowly opened his eyes and put his arm across his forehead. His headache remained.
She Sat there looking out at the darkened sky. She rubbed her eyes in tiredness. She stiffled a yawn and ignored her sleepiness. She had to remain awake in order to gaurd Rai.
Rai stood up, he shook his head and tried to get up. He used the cave wall to prop himself up but fell down.
She turned to see him fall. Quickly, she got up and went to him and helped him up. "you ok Rai?" she asked with conern deep in he voice.
"Yeah," he managed to croak out. "I'm fine." Rai struggled to get up, even with Sarah helping him. He felt all the memory in his mind slipping away and he could barely control his body as if he had been in a coma for a long long time.
Sarah kept a close eye on him. She wasn't convinced that he was ok. She helped him stand straight up. She sighed and yawned. She quietly stood next to him ,unsure of what to say next.
Rai looked at Sarah, "thank you." He closed his eyes for a second before asking her, "hey, can you help me get to my chair?"
Sarah looked at him and gave him a warming smile. "sure." she told him. She grabbed his arm and helped him over to his chair and motioned him to sit down. She quietly went back to he gaurding spot.
