He nodded, saying nothing. Instead, he gestured at the simply bound white book. The one he'd given her for her birthday after she had joked about wanting to be a kid again.
Serce bites her lip, getting to her feet with her stepbrother's body. "Who...?" She falls silent, suddenly thinking that maybe he didn't want to talk about whoever the diary had belonged to.
He stood up, walking slowly down the road. He was headed back to Heather's house. It felt like the right place to be.
Cole heard two people talking he made his way over there, "hey!" He called out. Hopefully they weren't cannibals because in a place like this, Cole wouldn't be surprised if there were cannibals.
"I... Wait, please. Can you come with me?" Serce asks quietly, not sure if he'd hear her. "I don't want to be alone..."
Vic heard the voice, but it didn't register in his mind as he made his way down the street. Vic felt a sinking feeling as he realized that there were more people. But he was sure that none of them were heather.
When he heard Serce, he stopped nd considered going back. He sighed and walked slowly back towards her.
((Da.mn my inclination to swiftly post))
Serce looks toward the voice, holding Jasny's body closer. "Hey," she calls warily, shifting her weight nervously.
He slowly made his way to where Serce was and stopped, looking in the direction of the voice. He didn't like where this was going. Not one bit.
Gia couldn't find her brothers and she started to panic. "This can not happen again. Not after Kyren. Not again." She started walking quickly down the street, always keeping her eyes open in case she saw her brothers. She stopped when she felt something, more like someone. She held her breath and waited, listening for anything. Right now she's in front of a ... what used to be a store. If she takes a few more steps, she'll be rounding a corner.
Cole was right by the two people now, one was a girl and the other was a boy. "Hi," Cole waved his hand, "I come in piece."
Vic disregarded this new arrival. He just stared at the ground, the diary in his hand.
Serce nods almost imperceptibly, kicking the ground absently. "Hey," she says quietly, glancing at Vic. "Let's go... It's not the easiest thing to hold the body of your dead stepbrother for long periods of time, especially when that stepbrother was a football player."
He sighed. "Maybe we should wait for the other people."
Gia heard three voices, a female and two male voices. She took an inhale, walked back a couple of steps and called for her brothers again. "Sygu (Sigh-ju)! Dygon (Di-Jon)!" She called as she rounded the corner. She stopped calling as she spotted the three. The girl had a boys body in her arms. By the look of it, he was gone. She didn't say anything, what could she say. She glanced behind her then at them contemplating whether or not she should make a run for it.
"If you insist..." Serce sighs, shifting her stance to a slightly more comfortable position.
Vic looked around and seen Gia. Not that he could see who it was. "Hey there!" he yelled, hoping the person would just go away.
Gia heard it in his voice. He said hey but he didn't want her to come any closer. She took a step forward then stopped. "H-have you seen two little boys, about yay high?" She gestured, placing her hand level on her waist. She had a feeling they didn't but if they were here, surely her brothers were alive too.
Vic shook his head. "I think we're the only ones left." He sighed nd looked at the sky. What was he supposd to do now?
Serce shakes her head, her pale hair falling into her eyes. "No. I wish we could help," she says apologetically.
