Noah could be looking for Angie after having been forced into the gang.
That sounds good, would you like to start or would you like me to?
I can. Should be up in a minute
Noah's heart raced as he scanned the school yard for Angie, desperately needing to talk to her. It felt like his heart was going to explode out of his chest. He was sweating despite the chill in the air, and his hair was tousled. He couldn't believe it, that he was in a gang now. He couldn't believe theyhad just forced him into it like that.
"So my dad just hands my brother a fifty... Just like that!" Nicole says shaking her head. "I swear he gives my brother whatever he wants just so he doesn't have to hear him complain."
Angie shrugs, "I'm sure that's not the case..." She leans against the wall of the school waiting for the bell to ring.
Noah continued his walk down the halls, occasionally stopping to mentally calm himself down. Angie, what was her last class again? God, he needed to pay more attention when she told him these things.
Angie hears the bell ring and she walks inside, Nicole following her. She spots Noah walking down the hall and calls to him, "Noah! What're you doing?"
There she is. Noah almost falls to his knees with relief, his legs are buckling so hard. "I need to talk Angie. Like, right now," He says, glancing over at Nicole.
Nicole nods, "I have to get to class anyways, my parents are going to disown me if I miss another class." She smiles at Angie and then turns on her heals practically bouncing away.
Angie walks up to Noah, "What's going on? You look like your going to pass out."
Noah just grabs her wrists and pulls her outside the school. "We have to talk in private. No one can hear this, Angie. No one,".
She stumbles as he jerks her forward and out of the school. "Okay, slow down. " The big doors slam shut behind them and she pulls away from him. "What's wrong?" She looks up at him, fear clearly etched on his face.
"Those people, Angie, they found me. They got to me. The ones who...who....got to your mom. They want me," he tried to keep his voice steady, but it cracked near the end.
Angie started to shake a bit as she took in this information. "I-I don't understand. Why would they want you? You have no relation to any of those people... It doesn't make sense."
"Because they like ruining lifes, and messin' around with me? I don't know! But I guess I can't give them too much flak. I am a part of them now." A tear rolled down his face before he could stop it. He gripped the railing so hard his knuckles turned white.
Angie pulls him away from the railing and into a hug. "You are NOT part of them! My father is part of them and I will not let my best friend be a part too! Even if I have to beg and plead to my dad to get you out, even if I have to take your place, I will not let them have you too!" She says tears running down her face.
"They picked me Angie! No one can do ANYTHING now! I refuse, they kill me and anyone I talk to! I accpet, they just might leave them alone," He looked up at the sky, the only thing he knew to do to keep from crying. He hated to cry, even when he was alone. Forget crying around Angie.
She steps away from him and wipes the tears from her face, shaking her head. "This can't be happening..." She digs her car keys out of her pocket and grabs his wrist pulling him towards the parking lot.
Noah just follows, not really wanting to say anything. All he can think about is the people stopping him after class, being pushed against the locker, all the things they threatened to do if he didn't comply.....
Angie walks up to her little blue neon and unlocks it. "Come on, get in." She slides into the drivers seat and starts up the car.
Noah falls into the seat, ignoring the seat belt. "Where are we going, Angie?" He gets his sketchbook out of his bookbag along with some pencils.
