It was set-up time. It was actually Alex's favorite time. Setup was actually already done for them. One of the perks of playing at Leo's. He checked the mic. "One two three, one two three, Allen has a hot mom, she's the one for me." Watson snickered, though Allen had a look of death
Ness laughed at that. "Isn't evy hot girl for you"she said with a frown.she stared at the ground. she tried to ignore the thought that they would never be together.
He winked at her. "Maybe." He turned to the band. "We're going to blow the roof off of this place, so help me God, or I'll set your instruments on fire."
Ness smiled. She walked up to alex. "maye I can help you in you band. watch this."she told him. She sang the same song she heard them singing earlier that day.when she finished singing she smiled. "How was that?"she sked him.

"Well, it was fine, but we don't need a female singer. Sorry." He looked at the clock. "Five minutes until people come in."
((Be right back. Sayuri's kidnapping me outside. lol she crazy. its cold outside.))

"ok. Good luck with the gig."she told them. She went and took a seat. all the emotions she felt she put them into a song and wrote them down on a paper.

The people began to flood in, taking their seats. This was probably the biggest audience the band had ever played for. The banner of the band was overhead, reading "The Last Crusade"
Ness sat there in a front talbe/row. waiting to listen to Alex' Band play. She looked at the huge crowd and looked back at the band. waiting.
The beat from Watson followed by the beginning of the song blared through the speakers. Some of the audience, mainly the older ones, furrowed their faces in slight disgust. The young ones' eyes, however, were fixated on the stage. Alex took the mic and began to sing.
"I've got a bad case of turning it up
It's getting old in here, so fire it up
I got a bad case of turning it up
It's getting cold in here, so somebody fire it up!"
Now the teenagers and the kids were having a good time. There was plenty of jumping around included.
Ness wasn't much of a partier. She loved the song and gave Alex thumbs up while smiling. Truth is, she wasn't a jumper either. she didn't know how to let lose, so after a while she felt uncomfortable and went outside.
After the song was over, Alex scanned the place real quick for Ness. She wasn't anywhere in sight. She'd come back in eventually though, he was sure. On to the next song. This was the one ness had watched them do. It was also a completely different sound. Could he do it?
"Fall!"
Okay then. He could do it.
Ness heard the song that she heard, when she first saw Alex. She walked back inside and sat at a table. A bor her age sat next to her and the both started talking. she laughed at a joked he said and then they both kept talking whil listening to music. *this guy is hitting on me, but i only like Alex*she thought to herself.
((add on))
Ness told the guy she was intrested in someone else and the guy looked mad and left. "bout time he left" she told herself. she laugh at the face the guy made. she went back to listening to the band.
In the middle of the chorus, it happened. The sound went out. Everything died completely. Alex hung his head. "You're kidding." Allen, desperate to entertain, kept playing, switching into some acoustic adaption of "Welcome to the Jungle" and grinning. Alex shook his head and stopped Allen. "This song is bad luck, people," he screamed out. "This is the second time today. The second time." He went and grabbed the guitar from Allen. The building had fallen deathly silent. He tried to remember a song, then started to play. Watson grinned; it was the SHinedown version of "Simple Man."
"Momma told me when I was young
COme sit beside me my only son
Listen closely to what I say
And if you do this, it'll help you some sunny day"
Watson shook his head. No sound, and the guy was doing it. Unbelievable.
Ness grinned at alex playing guuitar. she quietly sang with him while at the table. *This song is good. but i think i can fix the bad luck song.*she thought to herself.
The sound came back on after the song, as Alex was talking. His voice, right at its loudest, came through the mic. He shook his head. "Guess we're back on." Allen stepped up to the other mic as Watson started in on the drums for four measures. Allen came in with the guitar. Everyone was entranced, except the older people.
