A Crown Doesn't Make You Special, The Color Purple Doesn't Make You God
Niko trotted his horse, a black stallion with white socks, grey eyes, and a white blaze on his chest through the gnarled trees of the Forest of Shadows. The forest was silent and long fingers of darkness oozed from the shadows. Golden eyes of beasts peered through the duly green foliage. Nikolii looked at his partner, Loren. "Do you beloved we will truely find two young women in THIS place?" He asked skeptically. No winds brushed through the trees and the stuffy silence was maddening
"I doubt it," Loren says, shaking his head and kicking his blood bay courser into an easy lope. "I'd personally just like to get this over with, whether or not we find these women Jaime mentioned. I'm not too fond of the place."
Niko nodded, nudging his horse to keep up with Loren's "Not that the Darklands were much better. One problem after another." He said, mismatched eyes scanning the woods. One was a bright blue, nearly electric in its intensity and the other was an equally vivid new grass green
Loren shrugs, reining up his horse as a cottage came into view, a slight frown tugging at his lips. "That must be it," he says, dismounting and loosening his sword in it's sheath just in case.
Akalia was in the garden, tending to her rose garden. She hummed as she worked, long golden hair, containing all the hues of the sun as it rose, fell around her face as she worked Niko nodded, dismounting as well. He saw one "There is one."
Sirenia was not far from Akalia, her inky purple-black hair hiding her face as she collected herbs.
"The other is over there," Loren says, nodding slightly in Siren's direction. He was unsure of whether these were the women they were looking for and if they reallt knew the secret to immortality, but they fit the descriptions.
Niko nodded "You take care of Blondie I take care of the other one?" He asked quietly Ali sighed and streatched, looking up at the girl who was almost a sister to her and smiling sweetly at her.
"Fair enough," Loren replies, starting toward the garden. Siren smiles softly in return to Ali, pushing her hair back out of her face with one hand.
Akalia sighed contently and stood, getting a bucket of water from the well and getting to work with watering the garden. * Niko followed suit, from this distance the girls' beauty was obscured and they looked mildly pretty, almost plain
Siren places the herbs in a basket, glancing up and pausing at the sight of the men. "Ali, it would seem we have visitors, she says over her shoulder. A trace of curiosity laced her soft, melodic voice, her bright purple eyes studying the two knights.
Akalia looked up, pale blue eyes a bit surprised. Her golden hair shifted as her head moved and the many hues it contained glittered in the sunlight. She looked at Siren "I wonder why they ate all the way out here." She murmured. * Niko glanced at Loren. (I had an idea! Ok so Siren can't be a DA. It doesn't fit the storyline but what if we did this instead. The sorceresses are the daughters of the sun and the moon. Akalia is the sun and Siren is the moon. They can be a bit like angels if you want and then the girls can balance eachother. You can't have Siren without Ali and vice versa. If one dies the other wastes away. They are most powerful during those times and can shift into any creature that is primarily up during their respective times along with being sorceresses.)
(That works. lol. I wasn't gonna use Siren as a DA in this one anyway.)
Siren shrugs slightly, perching up on the wall and remaining silent for the time. * Loren pauses at the edge of the garden, a bit wary, but finally making himself enter and walk toward Akalia.
Akalia glanced up her pretty eyes guarded "Yes?" She asked wearily. She was sweet and a bit shy but very uneasy around strangers *** Niko approched Siren, bowing slightly "Good morning miss." He said politely
Loren smiles reassuringly, stopping a few feet away as if sensing she needed space. "Hello, m'lady. We are here on the king's business. You ladies would be Akalia and Sirenia, I presume?" * Siren smiles softly, purple eyes sparkling. "Hello," she replies mildly, nervously braiding a strand of glistening purple-black hair. Despite her curiosity, she was nervous around men after an unpleasant encounter with one in the past when she had met Akalia.
Ali nodded, curtseying "Yes. I am Akalia. And what does the king want of us sir?" She asked quietly. Her five was soft and delicate but held a joyful musicality, like pale morning light spilling over a mountain stream. She ran a hand through her hair, the hues of gold glittering and shifting. * Niko smiled reassuringly "I'm Nikolii Daring, miss. One of the king's knights. Are you Sirenia?"
Loren chuckles quietly. "He wishes you to make him immortal," he explains, though there was a hint of irritation in his voice. * Siren nods slightly in acknowledgement. "I am Sirenia, yes, though most would call me Siren." She lightly hops down from the wall, hints of midnight blue showing in her hair for a moment before her hair settled over her shoulders, contrasting beautifully with her pale skin.
Akalia's body tensed, fear glistening in her pale blue eyes "Why would he want THAT?!" She asked nervously, rubbing her palms together. * Nikolii nodded "And most call me Niko. At any rate, the king requests your presence. "
"That is something he didn't not tell even Nikolii and myself," Loren says, frowning slightly. * Siren frowns, wringing her hands nervously, electric purple eyes locked on the ground. "What would he have of a young sorceress like myself?" Fear was clear in her violet eyes.
Akalia bit her lip and shook her head "I cannot do that. I won't. It takes both of us to complete the spell and the sun dies. It will kill me. I won't." She said, stumbling back * Niko bit his lip "He wants you to give him immortality..."
Loren sighs, chewing on his lip. "Please, at least come to explain that to him..." * Siren glances over toward Ali, shaking her head vehemently. "No. I will not have my sister die so that a mere king can live forever," she says. "If she dies, I myself will die."
