Night crosses her arms, a teasing smile on her lips. "But it's my favorite number, too!" she says, shaking her head. "Thirteen isn't an unlucky number."
Kade rubs his temples. "Night, you're not helping the situation. I'm really starting to question this idea. I mean, Kaige is right. The place has been abandoned for ten years because of those fires, all on the thirteenth floor where we'll be staying."
"Don't make this worse for me," Tom almost whined. "I hate that number and talking about it isn't going to make me feel any better about staying here!" He rubbed his arm anxiously.
"It's okay, calm down," Violet said, trying to sound reassuring. She wasn't superstitious herself, but she was still a little nervous about all of it. "Maybe you'll feel better about it once we get there."
Night sighs. "Fine, fine. I'll shut up," she murmurs, shaking her head. The heels on her black stiletto boots clicked as she shifted her weight uneasily. "Tyler and Chay need to get here soon..."
Tom took a deep breath and looked down at the ground before straightening his tie, something he did quite often.
Night chews on her lip, glancing down the street impatiently and running a hand through her hair.
(Guessing I can post now ??:))
((yeah you can. sorry it took me so long to post. I was watching Sherlock last night))
((No problem dear!! :D Just making sure everyone posted:))
“We’re late, and it’s all your fault.” Tyler huffed, driving into the parking lot, he could see Chay out of the corner of his eye. “Just because I thought we should go get snacks and supplies doesn’t mean it’s MY fault. If we would’ve gone before the end of seventh hour then we wouldn’t be” She paused for a dramatic effect, making sure her cousin would note her quotations, “late”.
She waited another couple of seconds, “Besides, some of these things are very important, we got a couple of flashlights, snacks...the good kind-” Tyler interrupted her, “Just because you think they are good, doesn’t make them the ‘good kind’” He retorted with a childish grin. Chay rolled her eyes before continuing, “And I got a first aid kit, some new cds, with Scooby Doo band aids, A VHS tape player with the movie Ghostbusters, ummm.....oh yea! And a Ghost board!” Chay exclaimed, smiling big on the last part. “Chaylynn, it isn’t called a “Ghost board” it’s called a Weegie Board.”Tyler corrected, turning smoothly around some passing cars. Chay smirked, looking at Tyler, who seemed annoyed, “OH, and I grabbed a few other things, besides if we would’ve stuck with the cds you had in the car, we would of all died before even reaching the place.” She teased playfully, sticking her tongue out.
“You’re so immature.” He stated, trying to keep a straight face as he pulled up to the curb where their friends were waiting. “And you love every bit of it.” She smirked, rolling down the window, eighties music rang out of the car. “Come on ya winnies, lets go spook some ghosts!” Chay hollered, unlocking the doors to the suburbian. It smelled oddly fantastic in the car, they cleaned it out, which would be very surprising to them all, considering it was usually a pit, and had the odd smell of bananas all the time.
"About time you guys show up!" Night teases, quickly getting in the Suburban alongside Kade. "And you actually cleaned out the ride."
Kade elbows her, shooting her a look that clearly said, "Be nice!" yet he was trying not to smile. "You guys know to ignore the girl."
((Oh got a Ouija board...))
Tom tensed slightly as Chay unlocked the door. Looking over the two, he noticed a Ouija board in their possession. He groaned slightly. Great. Instead of just hoping ghosts would show up, they would be summoned. He instinctively straightened his tie and flattened his shirt out. "Umm... okay..."
"Oh my god. Is that a Ouija board? I shoulda thought to get that myself," Night says, laughing softly. "At least there's enough of us that if it doesn't work for one of us, it may work for someone else."
"If it works for me I'm leaving," Tom sighed, running a hand through his hair nervously.
"It should work for me," Night says, tilting her head to one side and studying the board skeptically. "And anyway, Tom, I doubt a ghost would use you. You're too... easily frightened." She tried to keep her voice gentle, but she couldn't hide the curiosity of how a possible ghost could scare him.
"Not easily frieghtened," Tom scoffed. "Just superstitious. And we're going to the thirteenth floor of a hotel that has been haunted five times before. I have a right to be at least the slightest bit cautious."
"Just because there were fires doesn't mean it's haunted," Night retorts, rolling her eyes. "And it's not like I'm planning to go in yelling for whatever it is that's messing with that place to kill me."
"Fine. Let's just go in and get started. The quicker we get in, the faster we'll be able to leave," Tom sighed.
"We're staying the full month and we're going to come out unharmed. No ghost is going to hurt us. If they try, well... Kade already suggested sacrificing me."
Vioet jumped up after the others. "Don't forget me!" she called, sliding in. "What's this talk I hear of- oh." Her eyes fell on the Ouija board, sitting amongst the other supplies as if it were waiting. "Well, that should be... interesting."
((I feel like the genders needs to be even....should I make another male, or is someone willing to step up ;P :))
Chay moved the seatbelt strap behind her awakardly, before turning to her friedns as Tyler put the car in park. "This is going to be fun!" Chay cheered, oblivious to any previous commetns. Tyler looked in the mirror, back at Violet and smiled. "It shall." He stated, before adding on, "Count to make sure everyone is here." Tyler stated, as he turned down the music. Chay nonchantly moved the Ouija board off her lap, waiting for someone else to count, she sure wasn't. She smiled at them all, a slightly de.vilish grin, but nevertheless harmless. "I brought cheetos." She grinned through her white teeth.
