By the time Chay got to the door, she toppled over, luckily Kade had grabbed her favorite food, otherwise she would of possible squished it.
"Gosh dangit!!" Chay yelled-her bag to heavy for her to left.
"Chay." Tyler huffed softly, picking his bag up from her. "Thanks for grabbing my bag." He smiled, ruffling her hair.
"Next time remember your sh.it ! I almost died!" Chay grumbled, laying on the entrance way floor to the hotel.
Night presses the elevator button, nervously braiding her hair as she waited.
"I dunno. Could just be how the place looks," Kade says, frowning slightly.
After helping Chay up, Tyler went over to the elevator-notcing her nervous behavior.
Chay sighed softly, picking up what she had dropped. She blew bangs up and out of her face, walking over to the elevator feeling like the odd one in the group.
Hawke sighs, pacing and glancing at Night. "Girl, you are going to scare the sh.it out of us all if you keep this up," he says. Night sighs, forcing herself to relax as the elevator doors open.
"Thirteenth floor... Here goes nothing."
Kaige held her breath as she stepped into the elevator with the rest of them. She stayed by Kade and Chay, pressed against the back corner of the moving chamber. She felt her heart stop beating, and almost cried when the door opened to the haunted floor.
Night takes a calming breath, stepping out into the hallway and shivering, pulling her jacket closer around her. "Oh jeez... Why is it so da.mn cold?"
Kaige shivered and shrugged. "I don't know, and I don't really want to think about why."
"Nor do I," Kade murmurs, shoving his hands into his pockets and starting toward a room. Hawke sighs, leaning against one of the doors and digging through his bag.
"I think we should have the EVP in the hallway. If anything comes and goes through different rooms, it'll catch anything it might say."
"So we don't have to be awake and walking around," Night says, nodding slightly. "That works. What about the heat sensors?"
"Well." Chay smirked, pushing in after her brother into the creepy hallway. "We brought all of this.." She opened a bag relieveing the same equipment you could find the 4 man crew off of Ghost Adventures using. "Ta da." She softly murmured, pullinlg out a flashlight she clicked it on. "Does anyone remember where they said the light switched would be?" Chay asked, looking around.
Tyler's eyes scanned the room, it was so...creepy. He took a deep breath looking over at Chay, she was trying not to show how scared she was.
Night frowns, starting toward the end of the hall. "I'll turn the lights on. You guys get the tech set up," she says, glancing at Kade. "Check the rooms out for explosives."
((So what all do you want to happen now guys? I was thinking that the 'ghostly stuff' could happen the secondd night they're staying...so they all are a little bit more off gaurd..:"))
Tyler brushed his hair out of his face, before taking out the computers, "Chay do you think you could start by clearing off the tables and maybe checking to see if we have running water?" He said smoothly before taking out a couple bundled wires that went with the laptops.
"Sure thing." Chay responded, her eyes scanning the hallway before she walked down the opposte way the lights were with her flashlight. "Hey guys check this out!" She smirked, walking into a big open space which she would've guessed was a sitting room for all the guests-they must of had one on each level-it was a huge hotel.
"Why don't we all sleep in here and use this as our main base?" She called back over her shoulder.
It was pretty dark, she looked around. But she could tell it was a big space. Her heart skipped a beat slightly, when the flashlight reflected against the glass on a picture frame.
She let out a deep breath, waiting for the others to respond.
Tyler listened closley, irritated that Chay's far away voice made him jump-it sounded slightly eerie. He looked at the others, "I say we check it out?"
Night flicks on the lights, walking back toward the others. "Yeah, that totally works," she says, studying the room.
(I like that idea, Karma.)
Chay jumped slightly as the lights came on. The ceiling was tall-the light fixtures mirrrored older chandlers. The walls were decorated with faded victorian-wall paper that was peelins away in different areas allowing wooden planks to show through.
There we small wooden stands here and there, some were broken-other were laying on their sides. And then there was the furniture-Chay wouldn't trust it. For all she knew there could be rats resting inside them. Chay grinned softly-looking at the older picture frames and paintings.
"Woah...it looks a lot different with light." Tyler stated with a soft grinn, looking at the long tables, and others which were obviously added later.
If you looked closely you could still seem some burn marks resting at the corners of the wall-or others smothering the wooden floors-hiding under rugs.
"Hmmm...homie." Chay shrugged-placing the cooler on the table with some other bags full of food.
Kaige got out her laptop and video camera. She found an outlet and plugged them both in. SHe then set the camera up on a tripod and connected a cord from the camera to the computer. She opened the database where she could carefully watch any noise or movement in the room, and left it there. "All set up over here." She said with a shiver, and put on her sweatshirt. She then went to a spare room and kicked opened the door. "So are we sleeping on these gross beds or on sleeping bags?"
"I think we should all sleep in sleepbangs in this big room." Chay stated, "I think that's the safest choice, I don't know about you guys but I'd rather avoid getting mutated bed bugs in the bed I'll be sleeping in. Maybe we should clean this place up tomorrow, so it'll be safer to stay in." Chay stated-looking around at all the hazards.
"I agree with that guys'. We could probably get my parents to give us some supplies to help clean, or Sally could bring over her crew to help." Tyler said, looking around.
"I'd hope sleeping bags," Night says, nudging a door open with her toe and wrinkling her nose in disgust. "Jeez. You'd think they'd clean up the place a little before leaving it," she mutters. "This room's a wreck. Totally gutted."
Kaige nodded. "I totally forgot about bringing a sleeping bag, should I call my mom to bring us some? We have plenty, we go camping a lot." She said, and pulled out her cell phone. She wanted to calm everyone down so she could relax. She had a long day at school, and wanted to chill by a fireplace. She looked in the rooms. She found one that looked like a lobby. "Hey guys, look in here!"
Chay cringed at the thought of sharing a bed with bugs-and the smell was unbareable. She let out a deep exhale before her attention was pulled else where. She quickly followed in behind Kaige a creased smile developing slowly across her lips-like an old photo-where you'd have to wait a little bit.
Tyler's gaze followed the chandelor slowly-watching all the shadows of the room. He looked over to Night then at everyone else-watching his little cousin run off to see something else. He came to a decision...finally..on what he had been compleplating since he arrived...this place gave him the creeps-and he didn't like it.
"Yea, that would be great." Tyler responded, looking to Kaige-though he didn't know if she'd heard him or not.
Kaige got out her phone and looked at the screen. "Huh, I'm not getting signal. I'll go try to find somewhere that has it." She said, and wondered around the hallway, looking for bars.
Night paces the hallway restlessly, her eyes betraying her growing fear. "I don't like this at all..."
