((Oh, that's OK, I know it's rather stressful when a family is in surgery.  I hope your mom's OK and heals properly.  GOD bless you!!!!))

((Bump.  How's your mom?  Did the surgery go well?))

((Thanks! She's doing pretty well! Yeah, according to my dad, the surgery went great. I haven't seen my mom since briefly Wednesday morning, before they left for the hospital. =( She won't be home for several days. But I'm thankful that the surgery went well!))

After the little girl disappeared over the top of the wall, Jordyn relaxed. Jake, however, did not. "You-you little b****!"
Jordyn's face grew hot. "Don't you dare swear at me! You get too uptight over everything, Jake. People are starving, and you grudge them a loaf of burned bread. Just cool your jets!"
Turning on her heel, she walked away, still inwardly fuming. Jake glared after her, and then sniffed contemptuously, before walking away in the opposite direction.
As she left, Jordyn wondered who the little girl was. She had a lot of spunk, coming into this part of town to steal bread. Jordyn didn't condone stealing, but in these times, she had a hard time justifying the other side too. Why keep food from all the starving lower-class people, when you have more then you need, anyway?

((By the way, I hope you don't mind the cuss word I put in there. I only put it there because Jake is the antagonist, and it made sense. And I censored it! My protagonists never swear. =D And I actually think this is the first time I've made an antagonist curse, anyway. ))

(Thanks! My mom is doing okay. She's still in recovery from surgery, but it appears to have gone well. I haven't seen her since Wednesday morning though, before she left for the hospital. =( And she won't be getting back for several days. ))
After the little girl disappeared over the wall, Jordyn relaxed. Jake, however, did not.
"You-you little deplorable upstart!" he fumed, glaring daggers at Jordyn.
Jordyn's face turned pink with anger. "Don't call me names. You get too uptight over everything.  The lower-class people are starving, and you grudge them a loaf of burned bread?"
She gave a sound of disgust, and walked away, inwardly fuming at the injustice.
Jake, still red in the face, glared after her, before sniffing contemptuously, and walking away in the opposite direction.
As she left, Jordyn wondered who the little girl was. Normally, she didn't condone stealing. But right now, she was having a hard time justifying the other side, too. The lower class people were starving and dying, while the rich people sat around, gorging themselves on good food, and charging so much money for it, that it took a low-classer's week's pay, to buy one loaf of bread. Ridiculous.

((Okay, there we go. I think the problem was my antagonist... I made Jake use a mild cu.ss-word, and even though I cen.sor.ed it, it still picked it up. I have no idea why!
Btw, my protagonists don't sw.ear. XD Only the antagonists, and even then, I cen.sor it. ))

((I hope her recovery goes wella nd that GOD heals her and lets her come home safely. =)  ))
Zhane hurried home, she saw the kids still playing outside and heard Galant, who now was fully awake screaming for milk that they didn't have.  Zhane felt bad thats he hadn't managed to grab some milk, she didn't have anything for Gallant unless she some how made teh bread mushy enough for the baby boy to eat.
Zhane came and sat next to Remi.
"Ga'er up!" she called, pulling the bread from her waist band.  The kids hurried around her, clamoring for some food.  Zhane carefully split the two loaved amoung them.   She didn't bother to tell thme to wash up beofre they ate, the bathroom they had had limited runningw ater and was very tiny, it would take a long time for everyone to wash up, plus they'd eaten with dirty hands ebfore and it hadn't killed them yet.
Each kid got his or her share of bread and then split off to eat the bread quickly before another sibling could fight them for it.  Zhane went inside and grabbed a tiny glass of water, she was going to try and turn some of her share to mush and give it to Gallant, who was screaming even louder now.  Zhane always wondered how such a tiny baby could make so much noise.

((Oh, everything's fine!! I'm really sorry this RP is going so slow. I just need a few days before I'll be able to do a longer post. We're starting school up again, I've got some big stuff coming up, and my mom needs assistance a lot. But hopefully this will get going faster soon. ))
Jordyn found her feet heading towards her mother's large town-house. She hadn't visited there in a long time.
Walking up the path, through the gate, and up to the door, Jordyn squinted up at the high windows, wondering if her mother was even home.
She knocked on the door. The large door swung open, to reveal the butler. "Hello, Jordyn."
"Hi Alfred," Jordyn smiled. "Is Mom home?"
((I have a thing for butlers named Alfred... ever since Batman. XD))

((That's fine, hope you're schooling goes well.  I hope I'm not annoying by buping this so much.  (I deleted the bumps becuase I didn't want just a page of bumps by me. :-P)))
Zhane found a glass of water and made some bread into practicly liquid by mushing and mashing it in the water.  She grabbed one of their only spoons and went ouside.  She sat Gallant up against his crib wall and used teh spoon to feed him the mushy bread.  He kept on scremaing between bites becuase he was so hungry.  Zhane felt bad for the little guy, she kenw it was hard growing up like he did without much to eat.  She was worried though, she didn't want him toe at too much and get sick, she deiceded to let him finished off what was in the cup and that was it.  She spooned it into his mouth gently, makings ure he fully swallowed before giving him another bite.
((Alfred is a good bulter name. :-D))

((I'm so sorry I haven't posted in ages! As soon as I think things are settling down around my place, things get riled up again. XD And no, you're not annoying by bumping this so much! I just feel guilty every time you do, cause it means it's my turn to post and I haven't... =P))
"Yes, Miss Jordyn. She's upstairs, getting ready to go out for a while."
Jordyn sighed. It was hard to find a time when her mom wasn't going out for a while. Jordyn didn't even know where her mom went.
"Thanks, Alfred." She stepped inside, and started up the staircase, towards her mom's room. Walking down the long hallway, she shoved her hands in her coat pockets. Jordyn peeked around the edge of her mom's door. "Hey, Mom."
Mariana Heath (she had taken her maiden name back after the divorce,) turned from her dressing table, and smiled briefly at her daughter. "Oh, hi, Jordyn." Turning back around, she went back to fixing herself at the vanity mirror.
Jordyn shifted her feet, awkwardly. "Sorry I interrupted when you're about to go somewhere. I was just in this part of town and thought I'd drop in to say hi."
Mariana got up from her chair, gave herself a last once-over in the long mirror, picked up her purse, and started for the door. She stopped briefly at the door, and gave Jordyn a quick hug. "That was sweet of you, dear. Now, I've got to run along. Feel free to stay here for a bit if you've got nowhere to go!" She swept off in a perfumed flurry, and disappeared down the stairs.
Jordyn stood at the door, doing nothing, for a few minutes. Then, slowly, she started towards downstairs. There wasn't any point in sticking around if her mother wasn't even going to be there.

((Aww I don't want to make you feel guilty. :-( ))
Gallant screamed for more as Zhane scraped the cup, trying to give him another spoonful.  She put the spoon in his mouth and he grabbed the spoon with his tiny hands and threw it after he got all the food off of it.  He iggled and waved his arms at Zhane, the poor little guy was probably still a little hungry but there was no more, so she may as well let him play.  She put the baby on the ground and ate her own share of the bread while Gallant crawled around in the dust, grabbing fistfuls of dirt and tossing it in the air.
"MADDOX!" Zhane shouted as she saw her little brother taking his shorts off.  Maddox looked guiltily at the ground and pulled his shorts back on.
"I no wike cwoze!" he whined for the second time that day.  Zhane just lughed.  Hugo and Adru were in a wrestling match right now.
"Don't kill each other boys." Zhane called as Hugo held his brother in a head lock.  The older girls were also fighting each other too, in the poor part of town girls couldn't really afford to be too girlie so they learned to fight when they were little.  Ricki jumped on Reagan's back.
Gimmie a ri'e, Rea!" he insisted.  Reagans tarted to spin in circle in an attempt to get the 5 year old off her back, both were laughing.

((Thanks, Honor!! I appreciate that. =) And I am SO sorry I didn't post yesterday. I kept meaning to, and kept forgetting, and then I ran out of time.))
After bidding Alfred goodbye, Jordyn walked down the long street, with her hands still tucked in her coat-pockets. She could see her breath in the frosty air, and she amused herself by puffing in patterns, until Jordyn realized how little-kiddish it must look to anyone passing by.
Her face turned a little pink, but she grinned at the strange look someone was giving her from across the street. Jordyn kept walking, trying to think of somewhere to go.
As she neared the higher-security part of town, she noticed an alleyway that led to a warehouse she had never noticed before. Jordyn looked around, but seeing no one who would stop her, she walked curiously towards the door of the warehouse.
She didn't get very far, before she noticed that the door was only an outer wall, before leading to ANOTHER door, to the actual warehouse. The wall-door appeared to have very high security, from what Jordyn could see.
She wondered what they would guard so securely. Maybe... maybe that was where they kept food. Or medecine. Jordyn didn't know, but she wanted to find out. Her curiosity was piqued.

((No prob. :-D))
Zhane kept watching the kids, the day had gotten colder and they were satrting to stop playing.  Maddox came over,
"Zhaney, I'm col'." he siad,
"Go in an' git ya shirt on 'en, Maddox." she said, laughing at him.  Maddox pouted,
"I don'' li'e cwoze!" he insisted.
""eh suck i' up." she siad.  The other children gathered around her.  They were also cold, teh sudden change of temupture was making the shiver. "Alrigh' ever'o'y insi'e."  Zhane said picking up he rbaby brother and getting everyone inside, the ha da 'fireplace' more of a place that had a hole in the roof right above it a circle of old stones around it.
"Imma go in to town an' git some wood." Zhane said, plaing Gallant in his crib, "Maybe 'en I git 'ack we'll git a 'ire goin' an' warm up." she explained.  "Remi." she added looking at Remi who nodded,
"I'll watch 'em, Remi agreed."  Zhane turned and leaving teh hous esatrted to run back to the rich area of town, she climbed the wall, now where would she get fire wood?  She started to walk almog the side walks, heading for teh agrucultural plant, though it was 'extra' secuirty'  she'd have to find some way to sneak in, her siblings needed a way to get warm.  Peopel on the streets avoided her mostly she ducked into alley that had a a large wall that door in it when the cops came by.  She looked at the wall, she coudln't climb it, it was one of teh triple sercuirty wall that surrounded building that had a high level of protection and secruity.  Zhane had always wodnered what was in the high secruity building, she went and tried the door, it was locked, of course.

((Okey-dokey. Sorry, I'm still confused about where Zhane is, but I'll give it my best shot. =D ))
As Jordyn continued towards the building, she kept a lookout for people, or anything that would get her into huge trouble.
She heard a noise around the side of the building, that sounded like someone trying a door handle. Normally the sound would have been almost impossible to hear, except for the eerie silence of the alleyway.
Jordyn froze, then tiptoed around the the side of the building, curious who was over there.  To her surprise, it was the girl she had helped escape from Jake, not an hour before!

((That's good. :-D))
Zhane shook the door handle harder and peered up at the wall.  She frowned at the locked door, something important was behind that door adn she wanted to find out what it was.  Zhane realised how eerily quiet the alley way was.  So quiet she  could here herself breathing.  She felt like someone was watching her and turning saw a girl.  She squinted for a few moments, placing the face so to speak.  Then she recognized her.  It was the rich girl who'd helpe her escape the baker's boy this morning.
Zhane hunge rh head, she shou;dn't be here, sheknew that, the girl might report her to the ploice now, then who'd be able to take care of the little ones?  Remi was kind but wouldn't be abel to handle all the children, the old erones were out working.  Zhane shifted on her feet, and satred at the ground, hoping the girl wouldn't yell or scream or report her.  She didn't want to go to ail, the jails were worse then the poor nieghborhoods,s he probably couldn't survive for too long in jail.

((Whoah!! So sorry it's been a while. I remembered just in time that I needed to post in here before I got off. =D ))
Wondering what the girl was doing, Jordyn took a few steps towards her.
Jordyn smiled, to let the girl know she wasn't hostile.  "Stealing again, or just curious?" she asked, crossing her arms. "I was wondering what was in this building, myself."
She stepped even closer, frowning up at the warehouse. "it's pretty heavily locked up. I wonder what would be that valuable?"

Zhane glanced at the rich girl, yes she was going to try adn steal some wood, but she wasn't about to admit that.  That would be just dumb, really dumb.
"Prolly sumt'in' val'able in 'ere, miss." she mumbled.  "'Opfeu''y 'ood." Zhane added, though she was speaking mostly to herself.  She was trying to assess if this girl was being genuinely nice or was just trying to stall or maybe was just dragging her along until she did call the police.  She stepped closer to the door and tried the door again, wondering how to get in unlocked.  She looked up at the high wall and ran her hand along it, it was pretty smooth, but there might be tiny, imperceptible foot holds in it.
