Name: Wren Sawyer Flanders
Gender: Female
Age: 15 (almost 16.)
Appearance: Her hair is black and curly, it's in a short cut, almost a pixie cut. It's badly done because she did it herself, she refuses to let anyone else cut her hair because she doesn't trust anyone to else to use sharp implements around her head. Her eyes are dark chocolate brown and she seems rather sad and suspicious all the time. Her skin is a warm, rich, brown. She is short around 4'10" or 4'11". She is rather thin, but still healthy. She has normal facial features for her age/race. She is also covered in scars, some inflicted by others some she gave herself (mostly on accident, a few on purpose).
Personality: She is very quiet and jumpy. Nervous around people and hates to be touched. She doesn't talk much and keeps her thoughts to herself for fear of being ridiculed or hurt from them. She is calm and keep her emotions to herself also. She is rather cold towards people and shuts people out to keep from being hurt. She is lonely but is too afraid to make friends with people because of past expeirences. She's very observant and is good at hiding from people and like to go under the radar and not be noticed by people.
Bio: She was abandoned as a baby at a play park when she was one year old and has been in and out of foster homes ever since. She has never been able to stay in the same foster home for more than 6 months and has never had a good foster home. So that makes her nervous about people. She's been in juvie a couple times for theft(she was stealing food becuase her current foster family wasn't feeding her), repeated violations of cerfew, and has been to school for troubled teens too for running away alot.
((Here we are, nice charrie by the way. DO youw ant to start?))
((I wonder how our characters will collide, and you can start if you'd like :))
((Yeah...I wonder. :-P))
Wren got out of the cramped car where she'd been sitting with her younger foster brothers and sister. She had two foster brothers and a foster sister; James and Fredrick(Freddie) aged 6 twins. And Jackie aged 3. She stretched her legs as she stepped out. Thed rive had been long, and had felt longer because James adn Freddie hadn't shut up for the entire 10 hours drive and Jackie had gotten carsick and was crying for most of the time. The moving truck would be here soon with her foster family's stuff. They'd picked Wren up that morning as they drove down to this little out of teh way town. Wren guessed she wouldn't stay too long with these folks. She slung her bag onto her back adn going to the back of the van took her suitcase out and headed for the house. She would be sharing a room with Jackie she was told so she'd have to help her little foster sister unpack too. Wren opened the door to the empty house, the movers were comig soon though, they were an hour behind her foster family.
It was a cold, and gloomy late afternoon. Thick Fog slithered along past your ankles, the dark blue sky was filled with thin, gray clouds. The wind howled, while the naked trees danced. The buildings were old, and seemed vinatage. White picket fences lined different stretches of sidewalk and houses aimlessly, the white paint peeling or chipping off, just like a majority of all the houses' paint jobs.
A Chesire grin decorated Alice's face, pulling her left sleeve over her hand and covered her mouth and nose. A rattling noise echoed in the empty eerie night. Recklessness was all over her. Alice took another spray can bottle out of her bag and shook it up, decorating the left wing of the school she attended.
An hour pass and the deed was done. For 'damaging' school property, it looked real nice. The words that were grafttied onto the wall was Ghouls with a shattered skull placed next to it. The spookiness and creep factor definatly fitted into the town.
"Hey you! What do you think you're doing?!"
Alice's heart began to race, as she flung her bag over her shoulder, with the cans stuffed in her bag.
"Stop!"
Alice glanced over her shoulder at the night guard, her hoodie shadowing her face.
"Don't you dare!"
Alice gave him a good four seconds before she flipped him off, and made a run for it. She could hear the old man behind her, a giggle tickled the back of her throat, turning sharply, and jumping over the gate she was home free. Leaving the guard upset, and p.issed off.
By the time she got home, and up her tree that was placed in front of her room-in the front yard, she noticed she was getting new neighbors across the street.
The trees dark limbs stretched and bended, looking for controted(sp) then natural. Alice smiled, her thick black eyeliner, and black hoodie, made her loook like a ghoul of the night.
The girl looked around her age, Alice arched her brow, and watched them with slight interest.
Wrne shivered, she felt like she was being watched. She turned around before stepping into the new house and looked acros teh street. She didn't see anybody, but the night was eriely creepy. She stepped in and felt someone tug on her sleeve. Wren looked down, Jackie was looking up at her,
"You have to carry me across the threshold!" she insisted.
"That's for married couples, Jackie." Wren said, jerking her arm away from the girl. And I am definently not married to you. she thought. Jackie pouted.
"You're no fun!" she whined as she followed Wren into the house. Wren decided to ignore her as she walked down through the 'living room' to the back hall. Their house was a one stroy house with with three bed rooms and two baths. Which meant she ahd to share a bathroom with a three year old and two six year olds. Fun. Though she guessed she should be grateful, this place was nicer than the last home she'd satyed at. In that home she'd been sleeping in the basement on the floor.
Upon entering their bedroom Wren put her suitcase and backpack in the closet. Jackie was still whining about how boring she was, Wren shut the noise out and went to look out the window. It was foggy out and Wren wondered if this was where horror authors went to get their inspriation. The town was certainly creepy enough. Leaf-less trees, foggy night, cloudy night, and wind whistling loudly through anything and everything. Yep it fit alot of the scenes in horror stories Wren had read.
"Wren!" her foster mother bellowed in a nails-on-a-chalkboard type voice that showed she was stressed and tired. "Get out here and get your brothers stuff and take it to their closet. And take your brothers in while your at it!" she commanded. Wren inwardly graoned. She'd learned long ago not to go against foster parents though. That never ended nicely for her. She left the room and went outside to bring stuff in.
((Warning, I may disappear after Friday, not sure, hopefully I won't though.))
Alice scuffed, checking her phone before shoving it back into her pocket. It wasn't too late. She leaned against the lifeless tree, staring up at the crescent, that stood out broadly against the night sky. No stars. Which wasn't surprising. Alice flipped out her lighter and started to flipping it on and off. The flame lit up her face in a creepy fashion, she pulled her hood back, revealing her pink hair, she smiled brightly and started to fiddle with her lip ring. Her thoughts were empty.
Wren was grabbing ehr brothers bags from the car. She guessed her brothers had a lot of stuff becuase their bags were heavier then her own had been. Again the feeling of being watched came over her, she turned and looked. This time she saw a girl with pink hair playing with a lighter. She only saw teh face now and then because the lighte rflicked on and off. OK, that's just lovely. Creep girl next to tree...add that to the list of why this town is a horror film/book inspiration. she thought she went back into the house her foster brother tailing her. They were a bit hyper from a sugar over load in the car and guess what? They still hadn't shut up.
A light cackle erupted from the back of Alice's throat, after she realised she spooked her new neighbor. She looked down at the ground, she was atleast ten feet up off the ground, her eyes flickered back to her shiny silver lighter, that ever so ofter caught a glare from the moon, that gave off little light. She took her pack of ci.gar.ettes out of her pocket and let one, letting the puffs of smoke mimick the fog. This would be fun.
Babysitting, Wren hated babysitting. She now sat on the front lawn with Jackie sleeping beside her and the sugar-high biys dancing around her. The truck was due any minute now and she was instructed to keep the children out of the way. She wodnered if that's all the Flanders had foster her for was to do work and baby sit the kids for free(with exception of them providing the basics for her needs.). Wren rubbed her temples,s he had a head ache now, she looked over at the tree that Creepy-'n'-Pink had been in. She saw a tiny gleam like a lit cigarette glowing from the tree and now and then something gleamed in the moonlight.
((I'm off to bed, Good night Karma!!))
Breathing out softly, a puff of smoke filled the night air. Finishing her smoke, she casually got up, keeping her balance on the thick branch and climbed throgh the window, into her room quietly. Before closing the door, she put out the ci.garette and flicked it to the bottom of the tree, smiled, and closed the window shut.
The truck was finally here! Wren watched as the mover quickly brought hings into the house. They were moving fast because they probably wanted to get home sometime that night. James and Freddie had calmed down by now and were sleeping on the lawn. Jamie was too. Wren wondered how long it would take for the movers to finish.
(So now do you want to skip to the next day...or....?))
Alice grinned, wondering around her room, she felt so alive. She stripped off her black jacket, and kicked off her shoes before slipping into bed. Was she going to bed? No. Her parent was going to come and check on her at any moment, and she needed an allibie for tomorrow.
((Yeah sure.))
Wren woke up the next day, she sat up on her bare nattress. They hadn't unpacked the blankets yet or the pillows or sheets. She'd just fallen asleep on her matress. A alot of boxes were in her room, something were stuff her foster parents had decided would be for her bedroom, but most of them were Jackie's things. She looked over at the othe rside of the queen matress she was on. Yup, there was Jackie, sleeping soundly. She got up and went out of her roo. Going into the lvingroom she found even more boxes, and they were also in the dinning room, and kitchen. Wren didn't even want to see how many were in her foster brothers rooms. She stepped outside for a breath of fresh air, today would be busy.
((Weekday, or Week end?))
Alice scuffed slightly, sitting up. She didn't really want to get up, ot move for that matter but she did. Alice turned, placing her feet onto her floor, looking at the time before standing up. She scratched the back of her head before rubbing her eyes, opening her window, she slipped out.
((Weekend? Satruday? Is that good for you?))
Wren looked across the street and saw Creep'n'Pink climb out of her window. She looked less creep in the monring light than she had last night with only the moon and a lighter to light to features up. Wren shoved her hands in her pockets and leaned up against the door frame, her foster parents weren't even up yet, not to mention her still siblings. She yawned again and looked around the street, it was pretty boring in the day light, normal...not like it'd been last night, though there was something creepy about this neighborhood that tugged at her gut even in the dyalight.
((That's so fine:))
Alice smiled softly, looking up at the sky, which even in the daylight, always had a sort of gloomy feel to it. After messing with her lighter for a few minutes she went back inside to get dressed.
Dressed in dark clothing, she ran down the stairs to see what was left for breakfast in the house.
Wren saw the girl go inside and she did teh same, she opened their refigerator and shut it again almost immiedetly. Nothing but last night's left over burgers from McDonalds. She wasn't about to it those, they weren't very delectable hot and cold they would probably be absolutely disgusting. She went back outside, maybe she could take a walk, or when her foster parents woke up she could get money to go to the little cafe down the street at the cross section. She hoped it had good food.
