(My Bio didn't go through, so I'll just incooperate it with my first post...))
It's been a month and two days since her father left to serve the country. Two days in a new state, new city, new neighborhood, and new house. Alice waited a moment before taking her keys out of the ignition of her rusted, blue truck, letting the loud music beat against her for a few more seconds. She sat their, her body slightly tense, her right hand still on the wheel, lost in thought.
She had thrity minutes before her mother got back from her job. Alice slowly opened the door, making sure she grabbed her small grocery bag before opening the car door and hoping down. Closing her door, she started her way up the awkward driveway to the house. Her house.
Swinging the bag at her side, Alice walked up the porch steps and took her front door. The porch wrapped around the house quiet elegantly. She unlocked the front door before opening the faded red door, a loud creak escaped the old hinges.
A soft sigh escaped her lips, closing the door behind her. She took one look in the mirror and wished her blonde hair good bye.
(Whoops, I forgot age: he's 19)
Mason looked around the corner; why was he sneaking? The girl couln't see him if he didn't let her. He floated over to stand infront of her, his head tipping to the side. "Who are you young girl?" Mason murmured, his voice like the wind. It was cold whereever he floated.
(I'm assuming at the moment, she can't see him....but if so....next time make it more obvious ;))
Alice shuttered softly, "This house gives me the creeps." She glared blantly before hustling up the creaking stairs. It was a cold, Friday night and she had no plans.
"Of course you have no plans, you're the new girl. Again." She found herself in the bathroom, call it a rebellion thing to what she was about to do, but if you did..she'd deny it.
Alice took out the 'bubble gum' pink hair dye and started to mix it.
Mason sat on the edge of the bathtub, watching curiously. He flickered into view, smiling. "Whatcha doing?"
Alice whipped her head to the side her freshly dyed pink hair rinsed and ready to be dried. She stared blanky at the boy sitting at the edge of her bath tub. Blinking like deer in headlights.
Her eye brows scrunched softly, obviously confused.
"What the he.ll" Alice muttered, water dripping down her cheek.
Mason smiled shyly, blushing a little under his ghostly palor. "Hello miss. Enjoying my house?"
Alice jumped up, backing away quickly. "What the he.ll you talking about you whacko!?" She said panicked, arching a brow. "Your house?" She scuffed, realising he was closer to the door then she. For some reason the bathroom felt a lot smaller then it actually was.
Mason bit his lip and sighed. He stood and held his hands up, walking to her. "I live here... Well, lived..." He sighed again. "It's a long story."
Alice felt the wall press up aginst her back. "I will pepper spray you!" She falsy threatened,
This guy really is a whacko..what, does he think that he's a ghost of something?
Alice grabbed her pink AXE perfume and held it infront of her, not much of a defense, but better then nothing.
(lol I love how...mmmmm...layed back he's acting x))
(Mason is an interesting fellow)
Mason chuckles. "Honestly, that wont do much dear." He stepped even closer, his body radiating icy cold.
Dear? Who the he.ll was he calling dear!?
Alice closed her eyes tightly, before shaking the can and pressing down on the lid. Perfume sprayed out, she opened her eyes, hearing a weird noise. Her eyes widened in surprise, a chill racing down her back. Her eyes followed the frozen beads of scented goodness shatter on the ground before even hitting the strange boy. Goosebumps.
How is that possible?
And with that, Alice fainted.
Mason sighed, kneeling beside the girl. "Now look what happened..." He poinnted his hand at a damp cloth and levitated it to rest on her forehead.
Minutes later, Alice's eyes slowly fluttered open, seeing the boy kneeling beside her. "Who are you? Why are you in my bathroom? Why aren't you wearing shoes?" She asked, sitting up. He's really cute the damp cloth fell to her lap. She realised her hair was still dripping wet, and the top of her black shirt was almost completely soaked. She let out a soft sigh, looking the boy in the eyes. He looked about her age..
Mason smiled and sat back. "I live here." He frowned and sighed. "Well...sort of..." He rubbed his cheek and looked down at Alice. "My name is Mason, Mason Snow... You...may have heard of me..."
Alice blinked, if it weren't for the frozen axe...she'd think this was some sort of sick joke. "Sorta?" She mumbled, rubbing her head. She leaned forward and grabbed a towel, rubbing her head with the towel she looked at him, "Nice to meet you Mason Snow, my name is Alice. Alice Delphian. Nice to meet you" She stated, You...may have heard of me.."
She thought back to the papers her mom gave her a week before they both moved, the history on the house, and the town. She...ended up not reading them, and used one of the papers to spit her gum into..just to irritate her mom.
She blushed softly, "I'm kinda new here"
Mason sighed and pointed to the hamper; there was a newspaper sitting on there. On the front was the title; Local Boy Killed in Car Accident. "Read it."
Alice reached for the newpaper, her gaze shifting across the words, before the title found her attention. She looked up at him..."You're a ghost?"
Mason nodded. "Yes... I am..." He sighed.
Alice's brow arched, "Prove it...." She said cautiously but challenging, setting the towel down, her hair dry, but askew.
