Lizz looked up, surprised that yet another person was talking to her. "I'm Lizz," she said, leaning forward so she could see the new guy. "I didn't quite catch your name, what is it?"
"Jake. So did you two know each other before today?"
Emily smiled at the group, she was oddly staying quiet today. "Nerves." she muttered to herself. Everyone seemed nice, slowly she began to urge herself to be more social.
As Jake and LIzz continued to talk, Adam smiled over at Emily. "Exciting, huh?" HE said. "I'm pretty nervous."
Kate listens to everyone talk to each other and notices a brunette silently sitting next to Jake, she thinks that's his name. She's quiet, not really social, she gets that. Kate smiles at the girl but doesn't say a word. She turns and looks at Adam, even if for the briefest of seconds. She smiles slightly before pulling out her notebook and starts to add more to her story.
"Um, no. I didn't know anyone here before I came," Lizz said to Jake. "What about you?"
"Nope me neither." He admitted. "Don't tell anyone," He joked "But I'm actually kinda nervous." He whispered the last part.
Emily smiled at Kate, and gestured for her to come over. She turned back to Adam, "Yeah, I can honestly say I've never been this quiet. New place, new people, it doesn't usually throw me off. I don't know what it is about this place."
Kate saw Emily smile at her and gesture for her to join her and Adam out the corner of her eye. She placed her pencil in her ponytail and slipped her notebook back into her backpack. She swallowed but got up to head over to them. She didn't mind meeting people, it was the people that didn't like meeting her, they say she was sad. Who wouldn't be with losing their father, their favorite parent? That Adam kid rubbed her the wrong way, he scared her. He knows her feeling and those she doesn't want to be bothered, she wants to know how. "Hi, and hi again Adam." She says as she takes a seat near them.
Lizz laughed quietly. "I'm glad I'm not the only one then," she whispered back. "I'm absolutely terrified."
"Hi Kate!" Adam smiled goofily. He felt sorry for Kate. She's just a poor little girl who needs love, attention, care. And she won't allow herself to recieve them. He understood. He had been there before...and he knew that kind of pain that she was embracing. He wanted to help her...if only she would let him. "Pretty exciting, huh?"
Jake nodded. "Thank goodness. I was afraid that I would be an outsider. I'm glad someone understands." He playfully nudged her elbow.
"I guess," she says as she glances at her hands. "We've been in here for a while and all she asked was for us to move up." She commented. She didn't really know what to talk about so she glands back at Lizz before turning to face Adam and Emily. "What did you Audition for to get here? I mean, what is your specialty?" She smiles a forced smile, a sad smile.
Adam smiled. "I acted! And sang. I did a song from Les Mis. My absolute favorite musical." He was happy that Kate had asked him/ "What did you do?"
"I performed a song and skit I wrote." She didn't say much else but she reaches up to fiddle with the pencil in her ponytail. She really needs to write or she'll go insane.
"Oh, that's cool! What kind of skit?" Adam paused, and then looked at Kate fiddling with her pencil. Smiling grimly, he turned to Emily. "Hey, I think the teacher wants to start. Let's go back to our seats." Turning around to nod once more encouragingly at Kate, Adam walked off and sat down in a far off seat.
Jake looked up at the teacher. "Hey, I think we are starting." He informed Lizz.
"Oh," Lizz murmured, looking up. She had been quite enjoying their conversation.
Adam looked up as the teacher began to speak. "I know many of you are nervous and excited, and maybe even a little bit scared. This is good. Now. I want everyone to come up here, in front of the class, one by one." Adam looked around. No one seemed to be moving. He raised his hand, slowly, in trepidation, and then stood up. "I'll...I'll go." He said.
((I think the way we should do the teacher is to just pass her around. So everytime she speaks, it should be a new person. So i just spoke for her, any of you guys can take her next.))
((Okie dokie! Looks like it's my turn.))
"I'm Ms. Morrison. I'm the director here of the theatre department." She looked at Adam and gestured for him to join her onstage. "I would like you to come up, one by one, and tell us your name, what department you are into, and something interesting about yourself." She looked amongst the kids, and noticed how shy they all looked. "Come on now, you are all here for a performing arts school. You need to work on confidence."
