Fluffy Romance Thingy 1x1

I fancy doing exactly what the title says - romance with nothing very serious. Just a bit of fun. Vaguely literate and dedicated, and whatever ideas you have for plot are welcome :)

[Love is not my strong suit and fluffy really isn't my thing, but how about we just go with the classic; friends to more than friends?]

Name: Lucy Millet

Age: 16

Appearance: Lucy has olive-y skin and long, dark hair. Her eyes are a hazel-green colour, which she usually lines with a coat of eyeliner. She doesn't look like anyone else in her family, especially with the clothes she wears. She is always seen in a pair of battered military boots, doodled on in tip-ex.

Personality: Lucy has a dry sense of humour, and likes to make sarcastic remarks about pretty much anything. She has a few close friends but doesn't like hanging out with lots of people as she's quite a private person. She can be very generous and kind with her friends, but sometimes doesn't realise how blunt she is, so often ends up hurting people accidentally.

Bio: Lucy is adopted, but it doesn't really bother her. She has an older brother, who has left home already and was also adopted. She gets on fairly well with her parents but hates how old fashioned they are. She's had a crush on her best friend for a while, but doesn't want to admit it in case it ruins their friendship.

Name: Ayshton "Ace" Jones

Age: 17

Personality: Solemn, serious, slightly emo but is a good person and friend to lean on when you need a shoulder to cry on. He has friends in every "clique" but tends to stick to the ones that mean the most to him, even if he doesn't tell them. He has a semi dark sense of humor and doesn't talk less talked to or wants to talk.

Appearance: His appearance matches his personality.

Bio: He's been raised in a single parent household (his mother), but was placed in placement when his mother died of ten year battle with cancer. He's currently working as a photographer. His best friend means the world to him, though he never told her, he always tried to keep her close. He doesn't really do well with change.

Ash sits in the library trying to figure out what to photograph next. His boss told him to photograph family and love. Love? Its everywhere yet nowhere in his life. As far as family goes, the only family he has is his best friend; Lucy. Lucy, that's right, he could photograph her and portray her as his family. Where would he be without her? She means the world to him. Standing up and grabbing his belongings, he heads off to her room. "I hope she's there." He mumbles to himself as he raises s fist to knock on her door.

((Do you mind using past tense? Sorry, it's just I get really confused otherwise.))

Lucy was sat on her bed, reading a battered paperback. She almost didn't hear the knock at the door, but got up when she did and went to open it. She smiled widely when she saw who it was. "That's a shame, I see the assassins failed," she deadpanned.

[Pass tense is fine.] "Ha ha, very funny." He walked past her and sat on her bed. He looked at her tattered book and shook his head. How long was she going to keep reading that old thing. "You going to help me with this or not?" He takes a look around the room and shook his head. Here, he hoped she would help. He stood up and walked over to her window. Not liking what he saw, he starts pacing the room. "So my boss told me to take -photographs of my family and love. My mom died and well ... I don't have a love interest that I know of. What am I going to photograph, you're the closest thing to family I got. You got to help me." He continues to pace the room. Should he tell her about the gallery next week? That's if she didn't know about it yet.

Lucy sat down on her bed, gently placing a bookmark in the book and putting it on her bedside table. "I'll do it..." she agreed. "On one condition. You explain exactly why you didn't tell me about the gallery." She waved a flyer at him, pretending to be cross about him not telling her.

Her words stopped him cold. He rubbed the bridge of his nose sheepishly before he turned to look at her. "It's professional and like me you don't like getting dressed up," he says, he knew it was a lie. He hates getting dressed up but he remembered a time when she forced him too. "Alright, I hate getting dressed up and there's going to be so many snobby buyers there. I don't want to go." He whined slightlyand he started to pace again. Why was he so worried? She wouldn't make him go would she? Sure he should be there encased some wants to buy his photos. He told her about the snobby buyers before they both started college. He doesn't want to go, but his boss told him he should and to bring someone, but maybe he could avoid going. The buyers know his contact information. He looked at her and dropped his head, somehow knowing she'd make him go. If so, she can help him pick a suit. Lord knows he doesn't have on.

"Ash, you're going," Lucy told him sharply, feeling like a mother. "All you have to do is bear it for one evening and you'll have loads of people wanting to buy your photographs. It could be a massive opportunity for you, and there's no way I'm going to let you miss it because you want to be a whiny child." It was a good thing he was used to her being blunt, because the things she said could easily offend someone else.
