Phebs looked up at her with one eyebrow quirked and a slight smirk on his light pink lips. "Yes." he answered, a hint of a question in his voice.
Jakob kept his eyes on the piano just in front of him, nodding his head up and down as though he was still listening to music on his iPod, unaware of her presence in the room with his usual, serious, indifferent gaze.
Ada tilted her head to the side, this undoing his work of fixing her hair. "Oh" was all she could say softly, he was really cute when he smiled. Ada looked down at her book again, just don't look at him then he and all thoughts of him will go away... Yea right.
"Um... Your hair..." he murmured, laughing softly as he gently put the piece back behind her ear. Then, he once again went back to his studies.
Diana groaned again finally able to make out who it was. And to her surprise, and horror, it was Jakob. She sat there, trying to keep the bright red blush out of her cheeks and trying to keep her eyes anywhere but him.
Jakob casually pulled out his music folder, humming slightly and pretending he didn't know she was there. He pulled out his pencil and bent over his folder, making tiny marks on his composition paper, face as serious and indifferent as ever.
Okay, so it was kind of hard to ignore someone with their hand on your face. 'When did she I it was okay to touch me anyway? He needs to keep is hands to himself. Yes. That's it. Keep your big, rough yet soft, warm... What way was I thinking about? Oh. I don't really remember. I lost my point.' Those thoughts traced through Ada's mind as she replied, "yea, I've just given up on it half the time. It never wants to stay in its braid, it used to get on my nerves but I'm used to it now I guess." Wow. That's likely the longest sentence she has ever spoken. Ever at this school. To anyone, let alone a guy.
"Well, it's you cute none the less." he said, looking up at her for a few moments with a hint of smile on his lips before looking at his book. Not that he could see any of the words or focus.
Diana finally looked at him, her usual proper look on her face, even though she was still breathing heavy, her chest moving up and down rapidly. "I know you were watching me." she said, loud enough that he'd surely hear her. She resisted the urge to rub her sore tail bone that she'd smashed on the floor.
'Cute? Cute? Did he just say it was cute? That means I'm cute! No it doesn't. It means my hair doing that is cute. Get a hold of yourself Ada.' She screamed in her head. A light rosy color flushed the apples of her checks, just giving her that much more of a stunning look. She looked back down at her book quickly, hoping he didn't see. 'Why do you even care? He doesn't matter! You don't even like him. Not even as a person. He is good for nothing and... Really sweet... No he is not! He is only a flirt. That's it.'
Jakob blinked and looked up at her, surprised. He snapped his folder shut, acting as though he had just realized she was there. He blinked at her a few times, mismatched eyes confused.
"What?" He asked, pulling out an earbud and pretending he hadn't hear her.
Diana glared at him and then made her way to her feet. She threw her hands in the air in exasperation. "I give up! Either the only word you know is what or you just aren't smart enough to realize that I've been trying to talk to you for a month!" Then she stalked out the door and began down the hall, her feet stomping slightly.
Phebs shut his book and turned his body completely toward her. He set his elbow on the table and put his head in his hand as he watched her with interest. He had his most dashing smile on, not on purpose, it just happened.
Jakob blinked a few times with shock. He sat still for a moment, unsure of what to do. He wasn't the social type. He usually had his face buried in a book, or in his music or was hunched over his keyboard with his headphones plugged in it so no one heard. He didn't know how to talk to people, or what to say. He wasn't going to go after her. And sitting here was awkward.
He glanced over at the piano, realizing that now he was alone in the music room with the beautiful instrument.
Just then the sound of the bell rang through out the building. Rancis frowned and stuffed his handheld game system into his bag and then slung the messenger bag onto his shoulder. He then hurried over to his first period class, which was Home Education. Once he got there Rancis glanced around the nearly empty room and waved at the teached and headed towards her. "What are we doing today" He asked looking up at her. Miss Hampton smiled and said" We are cooking an omelte today".
(( Sorry about that I fixed it ))
Ada didn't notice that he had turned to face her as she didn't want to look up. She turned the page in her book, great. Of all things to be reading she just had to pick one that had only one romance scene in it. And she just happen to get to that part now. Lovely. She ducked her head down further her hair now not falling with just a strand but rather several. She ignored it though, for they weren't in her eyes as she forced herself to read. Ada uncrossed and recrossed her legs in the other way, for she didn't want her leg going to sleep. Her foot brushed his leg lightly as she did so, though she quickly pulled away blushing the tinyest hint more. She murmured a "sorry" then wondered why his leg was so near her? She wasn't about to look up and see why though. The last thing she wanted was to look at him.
I hate people.
I hate men.
I hate dancing.
Okay, that's a lie.
I hate... Dancing in front of people.
Well, if it's not, like, competition dance...
Diana's mind was dancing about, prancing from thought to thought. It was her free period now. The school was mostly based on group studies and independent studies with a couple visits from professors every month. Unless you asked for a teacher. Of course there were teachers that made sure students followed rules and what not, but besides that the stuff was only a small number of people.
Markus ran his fingertips hesitantly over the keys of the piano. The music room had cleared out, leaving him alone with the piano once more. He knew he had a class after this one, but with the music room empty again and the keys beckoning to him, he couldn't resist. Slowly, he sat down, keeping his fingers on the keys.
Then, he started to play.
((Oops! Forgot to say Ada didn't have any classes for first block, that it was a free block for independent study of... Well I can't tell you that much. :p anyway so yea... Free block.))
(('Markus'? XD I meant Jakob...))
