(( Hey can my character be the one who is fallen love with by the new girl ))
Rancis walked into the Commons just to see Jakob and Diana head towards their first period class. He sighed loudly and sat down on a random bench and pulled his messenger bag up onto his lap. Rancis reached in and pulled out his handheld game system and turned it on. He could just wait for the bell to ring and play his gameboy. It wasn't like they really associated with some one who looked like a kid and sometimes acted like one.
(( And also I do not think Rancis would ever think about going out with Diana. Next time don't say things like that when there is male characters. Some people don't want to happen... ))
Phebs looked up from his book to look at Ada. Majestic, was his immediate thought as his almost white electric eyes landed on her. Beautiful like Diana, but in a completely different away that Phebs found oddly appealing. He gave her a charming half smile and quietly said, "Hi." before looking back down at his book.
Ada didn't respond, she only turned the page in her novel. She did however glance up to smile at him a tiny bit. Okay, so he was cute. That didn't mean anything. He was self sent reef. And a jock. And... And.... Really hot.
((I didn't say that she dated every guy. Having a guys heart, in Diana's eyes, is at least getting a guys attention and knowing he knows you exist. The words "went out" or "dated" were never mentioned. But, I'm sorry if that upset you in anyway. I guess every guy in the school was, in my mind, an approximation. Not meant to be taken literally. But, again, sorry. :) ))
Phebs went back to focusing on his vocabulary. Muses. In Greek mythology, the nine daughters of Zues and- But his focus was cut short as a piece of Ada's hair caught his eye and his fingers itched to move it back to it's owner and tuck it behind her ear. But, he resisted the urge and kept his eyes trained on his book.
Jakob slid into a random seat, carefully sliding his folder back into his bag. He stared around the classroom and listened silently to his iPod, mismatched eyes moving slowly over the room, lingering on the piano for a moment then back around the room again.
Ada sighed at a small piece of her hair landed in her eyes. She gave it a small blow only for it to fall right back where it started. She bit her lip lightly giving up as she kept reading.
(( It's okay I guess I misunderstood. Well now I wait for someone to talk to Rancis))
Giving up on her own songs, Diana resigned to sing someone else in a light voice, careful not to allow to many ears to hear, not that many people were around. Infact, she looked alone. "Don't go breaking my heart..." she sang softly, looking dreamily at the decorations and posters of treble clefs and music notes "I couldn't if I tried..." she sang the echoing part.
Phebs looked at her after hearing her try to remove the piece of hair by the force of air. He turned to face her slightly, a ghost of a smile on his lips. He used on of his large, rough hands to gently tuck the stray hair behind her ear and out of her face.
Ada was shocked when she felt his hand. It was so warm and..... No. Stop. She scolded herself. He just touched you. That's a no no. She looked up at him shyly, as if she was going to say something, then only bit at the corner of her lower her lip. She couldn't remember what she was about to say. Though it wasn't very friendly. But she couldn't remember what it was; only knowing how she would like to lean into his big hand, thigh she would not let herself think that. Ever.
Jakob looked over towards Diana from his hidden little corner by the piano. He tilted his head silently to the side as he saw her lips moving. He quietly paused the orchestral song that was playing to hear what she was saying. He felt the corner of his mouth flicker up in an amused smile when he hear her singing quietly. He looked away and played his song as the smile disappeared, pretending he hadn't seen her.
Diana decided to change her song to another. She was feeling like maybe a little Tom Petty. " was talking with a friend of mine, said a woman had hurt his pride
Told him that she loved him so and turned around and let him go
Then he said, "You better watch your step,
Or your gonna get hurt yourself
Someone's gonna tell you lies, cut you down to size"" she sang, dancing a little. She was usually very proper and strict about how much she let herself go in public. But, when she's all alone, her free spirit came out.
Phebs grinned at her and then turned back to his studies. "I could tell it was bothering you." he said softly, his eyes on his paper. "Just thought I would help you out."
Jakob watched her quietly out of the corner of his eye, trying not to smile at the sight of poised, imposing Diana Ross doing a little dance as if he wasn't there. He paused his iPod again to listen to her, keeping the earbuds so he could pretend he had been listening to it the entire time.
"Thanks..." Ada replied then quickly looked back to her book. She couldn't really focus so she marked her page with folding the corner then flipped the page. She would have to go back and reread it likely.
"Don't do me like that
Don't do me like that
What if I love you baby?
Don't do me like that" Diana sang, a little louder now, jumping up on a chair and waving her hair around as she danced. This was a side that no one, but Phebs had seen before. Not even her parents. And Phebs had seen it on a mere accident.
Phebs watched her out of the corner of his eye, through his long blonde eye lashes. Everything did was mesmerizing just the way she did it. He smiled softly to himself and then looked back at the text, trying to focus.
Jakob stayed completely still, just watching Diana carefully out of the corner of his eye, not daring to turn his head to get a better look at her. He was silent for another moment before a soft cough escaped his lips before he could stop it.
Ada glanced up at him through her long naturally black lashes. Why was he so cute? Why couldn't nerds be cute? Wait... Was he reading a textbook?! "Studying?" She asked in a very soft voice. She couldn't help it, she had to know.
Diana stopped in the middle of a dance, causing her to fall of the chair and onto the carpet with an oomph. She groaned and rolled on her back, trying to get a look at who had been looking in on her... outburst of song.
