Daniel cringed. He wasn't used to the questions. "Oh my brother enjoys torturing me." He tried to smile, pass it off as a joke, but he knew his face was too injured for that to work.

Scarlet sighed. "I guess it's non of my business..." She mumbled, before turning her attention to class like she should have and generally ignoring him.

Daniel sighed as Scarlet turned away. Dam.nit! He thought. Why do I have to be such a freak?! He turned away, feeling like a jerk. He couldn't help lying, he couldn't tell her the truth! Now she was ignoring him, because of this stupid curse. Daniel nodded to himself. He was going to find the alpha, and force him to tell Daniel how to cure himself.

When class was over, Scarlet turned to Daniel once again. "If you want we can try studying at .y place again sometime..."

Daniel nodded hesitantly. "Yea, give me a chance to redeem myself." He tried to smile at Scarlet without looking too pained.

Scarlet gave a weak smile and shrugged. "You can come by after school today, my mom will be home. We can walk together if you want."

Daniel nodded. He liked the sound of that. "Sure. I can probably find my way to your house again tonight." He smiled, honestly this time.

Scarlet shrugged. "Mom will probably insist that you join us for dinner..." She warned him, hoping he wouldn't mind that.

Daniel paused. "Um, yea I can probably join you." He prayed his animal instincts wouldn't take over during dinner.

Daniel shook his head. "No, it's ok. I don't mind." Actually, he hadn't eaten in a while, without a home survival takes priority to eating.

The day passed by pretty quick, and soon school was over. Scarlet felt excitement bubbling inside her.

Daniel smiled with the thought of seeing Scarlet again. He looked forward to dinner at her house, and trying again to stay there without ruining it.

Daniel apporached the front door to Scarlet's house again, determined to make a good impression this time. He knocked on the door, and waited for someone to answer it.
